It depends on the pay package, job description, requirements and ultimately what acceptable organisational inputs is needed or will be allowed from the mod. If those can be settled then we can talk and someone doesn't have to be posting in this section before to do the job properly. |
More Tariffs
|
This is the new tariff plan for each districts and there are many other detailed documents so if anyone needs them please let me know.
|
They should have carried them all along and not when the new tariff regime will begin by June are we now hearing that they will oppose it. I hope they settle it because the new tariff is important for the new companies to function properly. |
Very long but worth the read and while i support his positions and possible suggestions, the good book said we should remove the log in our eyes before trying to remove the one in some other peoples eyes. He has been there for a long time and so many points rasied goes back to obj and yar adua but the only thing linking the current president might be this subsidy report which he has ordered the justice ministry to prosecute. |
^^ All animals are equal but some were more equal than others, he who fights and run lives to fight another day but we should commend him still for the first fight. Every day is for the thief and certain days belongs to the owner and as for those who admitted the qualified students, am sure their own days will come as well. |
green tea: Good luck!Na real goodluck ooo. |
W alj harem: So from your logic, the governor of Lagos state should fight for Niger-delta ? hmmmmmThis is not about logic my brother as we cannot fold our arms and say boko haram bombing is happening in the north, get yourself involved somehow in the solution before it reach your door steps. If we had all collectively tackled this oil spillage from the niger-delta we will not be here raising alarm but following laid down principles to solve cases like this. Now lagos state too and any other state that starts oil exploration will suffer the same fate. You can see from the article that he is somehow powerless in some issues to resolve this as some provisions has been vested on the federal government who might not even care and count it as one of those spills. |
What could have really pushed them to do such a thing, people should start shying away from the culture of making it big and live a contented life. |
So na when oil spilliage reach lagos before fahola go raise alarm? , what about the oil spilliage for niger delta since all these years?. |
edyza: Bontee u read law abi u read loss,u nid google abi u nid goggle, wich kind grammar u d use d confuse ursef sef.u no go calm dwn,hw does his cmpd turn in2 a public place.or he shld pay 4 aving a private entetainment in a private place.nw if he's staying alone widout any tenant maybe he shld compensate d next estate owners, abi.guy jack well o. For public shared building, na inside ya house be private place and compound na public place in the eyes of this law. If na you build your house then na private place we go call that one but make them challenge the law for correct interpretation sha. ![]() |
Emperoh: Can't you guys read? The law is very clear, one is for closing the streets and roads and while the other is for private entertainment in public places. Your compound is a public facility as it is not restricted to you solely but shared with other tenants. Authorities or any other administrative unit established by Law at the local government level of the State to collect any of the following levies which are enumerated in the Schedule to this Law:- |
Here is the link to the law and you can find it in part 3 number 13 http://www.proshareng.com/articles/2157/New-Lagos-State-Local-Government-Approved-TaxesLevies-Law- |
Poster please pay up your levy because it is 100 percent legal to collect money for any public merriment or road closure by the local government authority in nigeria. |
salaksmana: No no no, I only inform you that that's not why he's in Germany, I did not support it and I didn't oppose it (of course I can't), but I haven't seen any difference in beef production around here, lets wait and see, only time will tell.Oh okay i get you, here lets wait and see but i hope it comes out good at the end of the day and surely if they can market it well then more demand will lead to increase in production. But for now it will not be evident that much as you have rightly observed but it depends of they include some form of packaging and branding, if not it will be the usual open market way of selling beef to customers. |
salaksmana: @Bontee nothing is wrong when it happens to be a country known for mass investment in Agric. Do Nigerians really need a foreign expect to teach them how to farm? don't we have enough experts around here (even in mechanize farming)? What we are saying is enough of all these travellings and talks, let start something (we already saw Oyes and Omeal o) then we can now see reasons for all those travellings. My brother sadly we do need expert help for that and you can see how kwara state went about their own with the farmers from Zimbabwe. Farming goes beyond just putting a seed in the soil and if we have to move large scale and mechanized farming then we need their help. If he is targeting the entire value chain then it will at least include the processing part, storage an other technological aspect which we lack. You already supported the O'BEEF initiative and you can see that they used foreign experts to establish that so that is clear evidence that we really need these kind of cooperation or expert inputs. If we are to reduce the amount of traveling then diaspora Nigerians has to play a role in this initiatives by doing alot of preliminary research and discussion before the main visit. I am sure we have alot of Nigerians in Germany and we can have cooperation organisation that will help to link investments opportunities in Nigeria to these foreign government or companies. |
salaksmana: This is an evidence that you didn't read the article, the beef production has already started which is tagged O'BEEF "with the help of foreign expert in beef production" LWKM4H. This particular trip is for other aspect of Agric and Germany is the best place to be. All I can see in this trip is another waste of millions of naira that will be used for the trip.My bad but it doesn't remove from the fact that these foreign experts who were part of the beef production project might be from germany or there are no opportunities for further investment in beef production. Please see the bolded parts from the article below and let me rephrase my statement by saying, what is wrong in the governor going to germany to seek for investment and cooperation in agriculture production from germany?. The Agriculture Minister of the State of Saxony Anhalt, Dr. Hermanne Onko Aikens, is leading talks with Aregbesola on how the two states can explore areas of cooperation on agricultural investments in the state of Osun. |
@ballabriggs We can go on and on but the problem does not lie with the president alone as he is not entirely the know it all to do everything. That is why we have ministers for education, science and technology etc to work together and make such policies in a collaborative effort to boost and develop the economy. I agree with your points but in a society as Nigeria with divergent interest then it becomes a problem to develop a comprehensive plan. The civil war and the direction Nigeria took later is the cause of all our problems, we do not have our usual three to five years development plan anymore. We need linkages in this country and doubt if we have a comprehensive laid out national innovation and development system in place. When we start to attack the president alone because of party, ethnic or religious affiliations, we become distracted from the focus and will never do what is right. This should have been an avenue where people should have come together to develop a policy paper concerning this issues but we are busy attacking the president and trying to show our intellectual prowess. P:S Nairaland should have been a think-tank for Nigeria policy formulation and development but this distractive arguments everyday is the problem of this site. |
jambogini: kStill every country has to choose the process that best suits them and the only problem we have with this exams are corruption, exam malpractice and transparent admission process. |
I don't see what is bad there in the governor going to Germany to seek partnership for modern beef production. |
Oluwadare: Wait o is there no more appropriate authorities in that school to the extent that mr presido disrepected his office and acted as a vice chancellor againAnd if there is appropriate authority please where were they when unqualified students were entering into the university?. I think people should go and read the constitution well to check the criteria for qualifying to be the president of Nigeria. If anybody wants to get closer to the government then it starts from the local, state and then the federal. So people should focus more on their local government please and they should tell us how they are checking their local government. How is goodluck the problem of the whole Nigeria or is he the only leader we have?, Goodluck this and Goodluck that. I am sure people don't know that the local government is responsible for electricity in the western climes and so many other things. We can only just blame our problems mostly on the central process of management we have in Nigeria. Stand up tomorrow to change it and you will see the opposition because of selfish interests. I doubt if some people even know the chairman of their local government or councilor representing their ward. Na to blab about the president and PDP, always looking for blame without using this opportunity to suggest or provide solution to the appropriate authority. |
Now can we also look into this thread and determine if it was morally wrong or not to do what the op is seeking help for. https://www.nairaland.com/889979/how-do-remove-d-okirika |
I think he should follow the recommendation from the judge and go through the advised process. Someone needs to check this NASS members because they are one hell of a wicked cartel. Fixing salaries and other sundry benefits for themselves without any checks from the appropriate authority. |
soloqy: And where did the OP state that the site was just to harvest people's emails and send spam mails? Thanks just checked again and the op did not say so but i think i saw a post resembling something like that and thought it was from the op but if it is entirely a scam site then he should not do it but still every man has to carry his cross at the end of the day. |
[s]The sites only harvest peoples email and sends spam mail to them if they would be greedy enough to fall for the bait. So it is not entirely wrong if you go ahead but depending on your conscience then you can decide to do whatever you like. [/s] Misleading from a wrong notion. No one is 100 percent moral and we never can tell tomorrow if some situations can make us to compromise. I am sure morality will give you profits in your business when there is competition and cost of doing business facing you here and there. Sometimes they say only those who are caught are guilty but whatever your conscience says you should do then do it whether good or bad depending on your situation. |
^^ And thats the fault of . . . . . . ? ![]() |
Opoki: But will this method brings an end to the so called "Unqualified" students from gaining admission? It is a stop gap solution and an urgent action to address the present situation which we are discussing here. Your suggestions are very much in line and that's the job of the education authority in charge of managing the education sector to make provisions for such cases and appropriate remedies for any sub-venture of the system. I do not see what is wrong in setting up a committee or how would you have done it if your were the president. The committee, group or team will be set up by the education ministry at no extra cost as their work has already been budgeted for to carry out such duties. Committee is a right step for me as i believe they will not rest on this case but make provisions to check future occurrence and benchmark the entire education industry to evaluate the spread of such cases. |
greatlee: lol, has he suddenly forgotten his duties? where is the education minister? You can see that he ordered the education minster so i don't know why you are asking for the education minister. |
We have to re-model the admission process and make to do with one exam that includes Jamb and the schools. The system should be a joint process such that you are not restricted to a particular set of school but to a set of possible programs to study. The process makes use of a database such that students are excluded from this database as they accept admission offers. |
Opoki: very well said but do we really need the office of the precisency to issue such directive not to talk of setting up a panel to look into it. Why do the have VC, Den of Deans, Dean of faculties, HOD's, etc? True, there is corruption but not everyone is completely corrupt. The university staff where suppose to take care of this so how will unqualified students gain entry if it has not been compromised from the inside?. The president is asking the ministry of education as an external body to fix it because the problem stems from the internal admission process. The corruption in that country stinks to high heavens and runs down through the veins of every individual there and even unborn babies self. |
2good: Why does the whole population of a country have to go to the university? Check this link below to see the percentage of population in Western Countries going to University.Thank you my brother and that was what i was saying about student placements because the focus is too much disposed to universities while the other sectors have not been filled or developed better. The discrimination as you said caused alot of problems aswell and i even had this Nigerian education system discussion with my brother yesterday. We need to fix it now or we will surely regret it in the future, you need to see the amount of Nigerian students going to study in other African countries. |
The problem has to do with capacity ( Human resource and infrastructure ), student placements into ( University, Poly's , Colleges, Vocational, Technical and Commercial schools ), Flawed admission policy, procedure and management. |
. For public shared building, na inside ya house be private place and compound na public place in the eyes of this law. If na you build your house then na private place we go call that one but make them challenge the law for correct interpretation sha.
