Hope this is a joke sha? |
A good identification system would have sorted this out and you only just need to submit your identity number or link it to your sim number. |
There are so many now and maybe we should dedicate a thread to female rappers or redo the votes again. I really like Bouqui, Eva, Muna, Kel and Blaise but not forgeting the others like sasha, zee, kemistry and mochedaa. My most favorite is Eva alordiah. |
There are new songs from this artist and they are really good . .. its called the GIGO and my favorite is your fada. |
TweetsI hope this will calm all the unnecessary nerves lol over a small issue that has been blown out of proportion. ![]() |
stillwater: Nigerians and their nonsense respect that will kill them. Same jaguda/agbero attitude you see them exhibiting here on NL when in disagreement. No sense of decorum and diplomacy in public. A disagreement is a disagreement, there is absolutely no need to be antagonistic when someone disagrees with you. A sensible person would have asked Muna to elaborate on why she has an opposing opinion, and not go on some ego trip. If she cannot give you tangible reasons why she feels the way she feels, then you win your argument with grace. Freaking educated illiterate, of which in this case is mode 9.God Bless You . . . ![]() |
“To Whom It May Concern. It has come to my attention that the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Nokia “Don’t Break The Beat” competition on Saturday the 28th of April 2012, where RMG artiste Muna was a Presenter, and Nigerian rap icon Mode 9 was a Judge, has turned into a media/blog frenzy. This unfortunate misunderstanding happened on stage, and the verbal exchange between Muna and Mode 9, even though it started out as opinions quickly escalated into what I’m sure we all have seen in the clip posted on the Internet by Nigezie. Mode 9 and Muna did not have any pre-existing misunderstanding or “beef” before the Nokia event. Muna’s brief as a Presenter, aside introducing the Contestants and asking the Judges for their remarks and scores, was to add more banter to the judging process, this she had done very well and incident free throughout the Zonal “rap battles” in cities like Lagos, Enugu, Benin and Abuja. As Muna’s management, we are duty bound to take care of this situation professionally, issue statements and all that, but as I’m in a privileged position and I know all parties involved personally, including co-judges Rogba (CEO, Knighthouse) and DJ Jimmy Jatt, I had called everyone involved to sort out this unfortunate issue amongst ourselves the morning after the incident. The clip of the incident surfacing on the Internet only just re-ignited what we’ve been trying to diffuse since the very next day. Like I said, we all have seen the video clip, and the interviews that followed, and of course the onslaught of comments on the internet, the justified, the objective, the insults, the threats of violence and of course a few sensible and supportive ones as well. Time will tell if Muna and Mode 9 trending on Twitter would prove to be a good thing and we’ll all get together and laugh about it later. Muna is a fast rising talent in the rap game, this was recognized by Nokia who gave her the opportunity to appear in their TV commercial and also present the “Don’t Break The Beat” competition which was a massive success. The brand also showed some street cred by employing the undisputed knowledge of rap in appointing Mode 9 as the Head Judge at the Finals. We would like to thank Nokia and the team at YDx for putting together a successful competition. Lastly, I would like to reiterate that this issue will not be resolved publicly and played out in the media or on blog pages for the amusement and enjoyment of gossip junkies and gist merchants. I’m sorry to disappoint those who are waiting with their mouths open, there will be no leaked emails, back and forth exclusive interviews or Twitter “gangsterisms”. At least not from our side, and as you all know, Mode 9 is big a man enough not to subscribe to media hype over something that, quite rightly, he took as disrespectful but not life threatening. This is Hip Hop, not the Civil War Part 2. Ayo Shonaiya The RMG Company.” |
^^ It is not a man versus woman issue so stop thinking it that way and look at it as two people having a communication issue or what difference would it make if muna was replaced with a man?, would have have thinked or interpreted it differently?. ![]() |
Hoodrat: I disagreed with you.. lets call a spade a spade that gyal is proud, rude and uneducated. She is not well thought at home. I wont be surprise if she dropped out of school because her actions shows the kind of education she posses. Also wont be surprise if she traded her beauty to get to where she is today for anything goes in Nigeria. All the best to her with her disorganised life.Would you have said she was proud, rude and uneducated before this situation? ![]() kokoA: Wait until your junior tells you trash in public, then come here and tell you how you felt and reacted ok? Oh! so because he is mode9, he has no emotions again abi?Oga what would be the criteria in distinguishing the senior or junior person in this relationship and in what context? ( Better Rap artist ). Shebi mode9 also met people in the nigerian music industry and even went toe to toe with them and we all hailed him ( Abi those ones no senior mode9 with your criteria )?. ![]() |
It is not entirely wrong for muna to have chipped in as a fellow rapper ( even if she was a presenter at that moment ) and disagreed with mode9 judgement. The only thing i would say about her was that she wasn't too friendly or casual in saying that. The person i would blame most is mode9 for his over response, pride and trying to blow everything out of proportion. Most people will see it from a man to a woman perspective and try to say that because mode9 is more superior or the judge in this case. Just a simple sure you have a right to disagree with me as a fellow rapper and we sure have different judgement or interpretation, so lets hear from other fellow judges concerning the rightful winner. It is just as simple as that and any offence taken can be corrected outside the program and no need to prove there that you are superior to muna by saying you have been listening to hip hop since adam and eve lived in the garden of eden. Nigerians and their ever willingness to show that i pass you so make you shut your mouth up. ![]() |
What about a Nigerian learning language app as people can easily learn yoruba, hausa and igbo language. |
wesley80: I thot he also said something about a bald headed man scoring a goal? I read that bit on his FB page.Yes he said a bald head man will score probably the only goal in the first half and he will be assisted by a tall man with black hair. So that means it is mario gomez that will work the goal for robben i think. He said bayern will win the first half and he will give the full prophecy this coming sunday before the final match next week so lets wait for that. |
Some ideas are not feasible because of the barrier to get the needed data to use in building the mechanism of the app and also the poll says it will end next year? ![]() |
Malls filled with imported products as we do not own enough factories or do manufacturing and even the few ones are owned by these foreigners and surely most of these malls are owned by foreigners. By the way I went around these malls and found so many business that are not viable due to low customer patronage, misplaced business focus or stocked products in the shops. So much unnecessary security personnel doing nothing basically than opening glass doors that should be left open and i even saw one sleeping inside the shop. It is good though ( these malls )but i think we should get the fundamentals right unless we will always get ripped off because of our focus on spending and consumerism. We just lack so much government policies and our local companies just do not know how to fight these types of foreign invaders. I think people should go study the history of Walmart and problems they faced trying to expand around the world. |
Jenams: una wan start again? Just wen did T.B Joshua say such? Pls back up wateva info u HªvΣ wit a source! Dnt Ƈϑ♍Ə here & tarnish anyone's image! Not trying to tarnish any image but it is my reference from what he said on the 22nd of april . . . he was speaking in parable but my conclusion is that the military is going to strike because he said God is going to intervene in this boko haram crisis latest by june 1st or around that time. I will make a thread about all these prophecies soon but surely the military will strike this year. |
The escalation of these boko haram crisis is clearly pointing out to the prophecy of TB Joshua and the other celestial prophet that the military is going to strike and take over before June 1st 2012. |
We will have to comeback to this issues someday when things get out of hand with this boko haram crisis and corruption everywhere. |
Reports from sources in Kano said bomb explosions were heard in the city this morning. The explosions were said to have gone off around 6am. It was gathered that this happened around Sharada Police Station. Sharada is on the outskirts of Kano township. Residents said: “We heard the explosion throughout the night, and it lasted till after the early morning prayer,” a resident of the city told us. “We were unable to sleep and we can’t venture out yet.” The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Idris, confirmed the incident. He said it was the Joint Task Force, an inter-agency security outfit overseeing security in the state, that took the battle to the den of the terrorist following security reports they were hiding in the area and plotting an attack on the Sharada Police Station. Mr. Idris said one of the terrorists was killed while three women and a child, believed to be family members of the insurgents, were captured alive. He added that over 4000 rounds of Iive ammunition meant for AK 47 rifles, six drums of explosion, and several knives were recovered from the terrorists during the operation. Kano has been a constant target of dreaded sect, Boko Haram, since the beginning of the year. http://africanspotlight.com/2012/05/bomb-explosions-in-kano-this-morning/ |

It was gathered that this happened around Sharada Police Station. Sharada is on the outskirts of Kano township. The police station had been attacked earlier in the year. This morning’s explosion, like the earlier one, was followed by sporadic shooting. Casualty figure was unknown as at the time of filing this report. These bombings are just the prelude to the military takeover as predicted by Nigerian prophets before the first of June. |
Funkymallam: Another one just hit Adamawa and rumour of another in Gombe. It was an un-exploded bomb in adamawa and three more people dead from shooting in maiduguri which brings it to 20 since yesterday but no news yet about gombe. |
UPDATE 9: Bayero University spokesperson, Mustapha Zaharadeen, says he's only able to confirm 7 dead (including a professor) and several injured. He says the university is now calm. UPDATE 8: Death toll in Kano university bombings hits 15, a reliable source just told us. He said the figure would most likely rise, as a lot of the wounded are in critical condition. Kano police commissioner, Ibrahim Idris, says his team is contacting hospitals to update casualty figure. UPDATE 7: Engr Abubakar of the Kano State Emergency Management Agency told just PREMIUM TIMES that rescue workers are still unable to access the scene of the incident. "The scene has been cordoned off by security agencies and we have been shut out. We are about two kilometres to the scene. Everybody is here, including the Red Cross and other agencies. We have important work to do at the scene, but we are here. We don't know what to do." UPDATE 6: The National Emergency Management Agency says it has mobilised response agencies and volunteers to the bomb scene for rescue operation since it has no office in Kano. NEMA's spokesperson, Yushau Shuaibu, said in a statement, "About an hour ago, NEMA attention was drawn to explosions and gunshots at old site BUK campus in Kano. "Since NEMA has no office in the state we have mobilised response agencies and volunteers to the scene." UPDATE 5: Kano Police commissioner, Ibrahim Idris, just told us 8 are confirmed dead and several injured. Witnesses say figure is higher. UPDATE 4: Main gate to old site cordoned off by soldiers. Witnesses say they first attacked soldiers on guard before bombing. Uncomfirmed reports say two professors are among the casualties UPDATE 3: Witnesses say JTF has driven away in two pick-up vans filled with corpses, and wounded UPDATE 2: A Kano resident sent us this: "I wasn't there but I know of the first place they went to in BUK! There is a Federal Government-assisted IT infrastructure site inside BUK old site that they first went to. They told the legionnaires guarding that they were there to bomb the building because it belonged to the Federal Government." "After much begging and quoting of the Quran by the aged legionnaires, Boko Haram left and about 20 minutes later, they started bombing the chaplain and shootings broke out. "Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off by late arriving security." UPDATE 1: The explosion started around 8 a.m. They attacked theatres 2 & 3, where the christians normally have their services. Witnesses say the they gun shots lasted for more than 30 minutes. They said two bombs went off around the two theatres which are situated in between the faculties of medicine and science in the Bayero University. The Joint Task Force, which is overseeing security in the city didn't arrive until 20 minutes after the gunmen had left. A witness said the attackers were seven in number. The place is now calm, he said. We spoke to one witness, who said he was conducting service in one of the theatres when the blasts went off. He said it occurred 30 metres away from where he stood, adding that what scarred him most was the gunshots that followed the bombing. He admitted casualties but is still in state of shock and could not tell how many. |
Hmm i also watched his service today and he clearly said there is an attack right now within the country and they should pray for Gods protection |
The answer to the question about a car behind three curtains A,B AND C can be found in the movie 21. You can watch it here when the genius went to his first math class and the movie is a fantastic movie. http://www.sockshare.com/file/GTAP6567VO8COG |
The best way is to link this thread to where the students are always gathered here on nairaland and they will give life to this thread. |
Mother till Eternity . . . there is never a doubt about that. |
PDP is not the originator of boko haram but the change in dimension is definitely linked to it and to me PDP is not the problem but Nigeria as a whole. It is no mere coincidence that ACN as a party went to pick ribadu after dumping atiku or trying to form an alliance with buhari. It was suppose to be a silent and gentleman agreement between the elites and not necessarily restricted to PDP as a party. The north will still make the same demands on the whole Nigeria come 2015 irrespective of any party that put forth candidates. Leadership position at the national level has always been turn by turn and not merit based or the best candidate should always fit the profile. |
Partially free but competitive and reward those who aim to reap more from it from a merit based or positive output perspective. |
GboyegaD: The truth is how many school has the facilities to support sciences at secondary and tertiary levels? In reality right now i don't think there is adequate space or capacity for that but with the right direction and policy then this can be developed. We are basically producing too much graduates in fields that they do not need such amount while we are lacking in other important fields. nakedall: wetin person wan take engineering do in this country. There is and beyond the country because your skills are needed all over the whole world . . . its a global village my brother. ![]() Felixjude: In all, pple shud knw dat der is mor to law, med.surge, acc, interel and even pet eng.....winks.....same with me as it is noot i was running up and down looking for that i ended up studying and now again am making another change or combination. |
picolo01: i think its really a shame that the others "two for the price of one" states are literally parasiting heavily on lagos revenue, atThere is no standard mechanism for utility billing, tax collection or revenue generation unlike Lagos state. Money and business could be flowing but nothing comes to the government if they are not collecting regular taxes from this businesses. You just have to find a way of registering, monitoring this business and find a way of collecting and tracking their prompt payments of taxes to the government. picolo01: i think its really a shame that the others "two for the price of one" states are literally parasiting heavily on lagos revenue, at this rate Lagos can never attain her suppose and full potential - into a megacity. The same way every other states feeds on crude oil revenue and with this formula for IGR . . . . there is definitely no incentive for any other incompetent state to improve on their own IGR :O. Provided there is free money from crude oil and IGR, well who wants to stress himself by developing other sectors of their own economy. Give every states the right to run its destiny as it seems fit and let them pay taxes to the weak central goverment and that should solve all these laziness around. |
mycito90: u c it most of our younger ones lack orientation every body want to become medical doctor nd lawyer...You are right my brother and it is very sad because i am checking more statistics from other schools also. It seems people are focused on anything related to petroleum and banking jobs as well. I don't really know who to blame but i feel if there is a policy direction from the education managers then this trend can be changed. I am of the opinion that we adopt the Asian option and force students towards fields that are needed and relevant to us as a nation. I read somewhere that the Asians have this policy of 70 percent towards science and technology and the rest to others. So in such circumstance the slots for the other fields gets filled quickly why the others are forced into the science and technology class by or they forfeit their admission for that year. This was done at the secondary school level where the student can still be nurtured after such practice. I remember in my secondary school days when we were given the choice to choose our future direction after the junior waec exams. Every tom, dick and harry went to commercial class and by the end of the day we had one class for science, one for Arts which swelled up from science dropouts and three classes of commercial students. It was a pity for those arts students as they don't even know what they wanted to study after their secondary school and mostly also in the commercial category with the usual banking and finance or accountancy. Same could be said of the science students too as most were just jumping on medicine and surgery, electrical and electronic engineering ( when they were obvious failures in physics and mathematics ). We could as well adopt the European or western option and give every students the same unified education and they should only make that final future direction at the time of writing their senior waec. Also i really don't know what the other posters are asking the original poster to check as this is not the admission lists but general statistics about the just concluded or ongoing admission process. |
^^^ He definitely did that just this last Sunday and to me . . . that is his most important prophecy and am waiting for it between now and June 1st. |
