Teachers aren't really well paid over there. It's just average. Moreover, the cost of living in the US will drain your salary in no time.

Any job you get with a college degree is guaranteed, at entry level, to pay greater than the minimum wage. Teaching is one of them. The pay is considerably fair, teachers in the US are not shortchanged. Very naturally, they may have demands, there is no perfection anywhere, and people are rarely satisfied. There are many other factors aside income that can affect a person's standard of living in the US, generalization is invalid.

Interesting. True, NDLEA needs to compensate him, I can understand he may be traumatised from the experience. However, he is suffering from stroke, which I don't think is connected to his experience with NDLEA. He's not getting younger and not everyone has the privilege of ageing without accompanying ailments.

The term is new to football, but it's quite common in cricket and rugby.

A sports tour occurs when one country goes to play a series of matches in another country. They are usually friendly matches. The games usually hold in 2 or 3 cities (obviously not in the entire country). It is called a tour of the US because the Falcons are guests of the US Federation, not of the Texas Federation and it is the US National Team that is taking part in the competition, not the Texas team.

It obviously can't be called a tour of Houston because the Falcons are not only going to play in Houston. They will also play in Austin.
