GamalNasser:What are you talking about? Government sets the tariff, and the tariff is not cost reflective, hence the recent increment. Can you imagine being in a business where your selling price is set by the government even when the price does not reflect the true cost of the commodity? The capital and operational expenditure ceilings are also set by government. Government does not invest anything in relation to its 40% stake in the business In fact, the idea that the industry is privatized is a scam because it's more regulated than any other industry in Nigeria. There's no disco that's breaking even, talk more of making profit. |
chatinent:Nope Every sane human being finds it a drag and a complete waste of time. No wonder the rest of the world has since moved on from this show. |

27Pushing30:Yes many countries suffered, but not on the scale of the US. The countries that succeeded have a national testing and tracing strategy. The US doesn't and that led to confusion and disharmony in their approaches. When Cuomo declared quarantine for NY visitors other governors didn't, and when NY was going down, cases were rising up in Florida and the Midwest. Don't you believe a national mask mandate won't help reduce the spread? What does Trump think about masks and social distancing? Wasn't he instead promoting hydroxychloroquine and UV light and disinfectants instead? His covid19 failure is inexcusable, and he's the one who's politicizing it, calling it the Chinese Virus and a democrat hoax. |
LadyExcellency:Your arguments typify some sort of false equivalency. His covid19 response is worse than New Zealand's, South Korea's, and lots of other countries who'd managed to reduce their infection rates. While they were taking stock of the threat, Trump was downplaying it, initially praising China. Later when the infection reached the US, he said it was under control. Then he said it'd magically go away. Then he said it was a democratic hoax. Trump let governors decide how to tackle the pandemic when mist countries had national responses. He also initially denied assistance to governors unless they praise him. There's still no national testing, tracing and isolation strategy in the US. He also refused to wear masks or endorse them. He defied the guidelines issued by the CDC, he does not allow social distancing at his rallies, he mocked Biden for wearing a mask and isolating in his basement. There was quid pro quo with Ukraine. Russia did meddle in his favor during the 2016 elections as testified by the intelligence community. He supports white supremacists and racists even calling them fine people, he does not condemn police brutality against blacks, he advised cops to rough up suspects, he does not talk about the racial issues that bred the protests, he's a known racist and was sued in the 70s for racial discrimination, he's a misogynist, he's anti climate control, he's stoking the embers of racial divide, he mocks Congress and congressional oversight. He's talked down their traditional allies, bullied world leaders and calls them names, he defunded WHO in the middle of a pandemic for his own failures (remember he dismantled the pandemic advance team in China and praised Xi), he made a mess of the Iranian nuclear deal. Because pf Trump America has lost its global leadership position. He's corrupt and promotes nepotism. His family takes money out of charities and campaign funds, he violates the hatch act everyday. He's failed to unite the US, failed to maintain America's position as a world leader, failed to contain covid19 despite advance warnings, and he's polluting the US electoral integrity by undermining mail-in voting, he's declared he'll stop the intelligence briefing of Congress by the director of intelligence services. 180k dead Americans on his watch and he gloats and golfs and calls it a success with no empathy for the bereaved. There's no limit to his crimes, bungling incompetence, uncouthness, vile, pettiness, ego, narcissistic tendencies, demagoguery, autocratic tendencies, and general discordance with the sensibilities of his country. He'd rather ride the nationalist and racist tendencies of a section of the country in a populist bid to maintain a firm grip to make money and peddle influence. |
AmazonTopaz:Amen |

You do realize none of them is president, right? You do recall Chuck and Nancy impeached Trump right? You do know they've pushed countless bills the senate majority leader Mitch is sitting on, right? You do realize the poor response to the pandemic, the economic collapse, the police brutality, the racism, the global shunning of America, the broken alliances, the pullout from the climate accord and pushback at WHO, NATO, WTO, the current toxic atmosphere of divisions and white supremacy, the protests and riots are all happening under Trump's watch, right? |
AmazonTopaz:Trump was an obvious white supremacist reaction to Obama. The GOP and its racist followers hated the fact that a blackman was president, hence McConnell and his gang of racists frustrated Obama at every turn. They knew Trump was bad news, but they wanted to "own the libtards" by deliberately electing a known racist. Trouble is, they thought Trump was an easily-controllable buffoon, and he proved them all wrong because his base is the strongest ever seen. So the McConnells and Grahams and Jordans and Gaetz have to kowtow or lose their support. The GOP does not care about global politics or democracy or equality. They only care about their guns and wealthy friends and influence. Ps: I've added to my earlier post you quoted. |
justli:Actually every single democrat has condemned the violence and looting. What the GOP and its followers want is an outright condemnation of the protests in their entirety. But that's hypocritical because the protests are about 1A which is something the conservatives talk about on their platform, in addition to 2A. American democracy is about rights and freedoms, and while the Left emphasizes on the 1st Amendment, the right is obsessed about the 2nd Amendment. |
AmazonTopaz:Exactly He's one apathetic SOB. And it also has the added benefit of enhancing his political capital The US has never had it this bad even with Nixon. People walk around with this sense of dejection and helplessness. It also surprises me how so many latinos are proTrump and racist to African Americans. Have they forgotten the wall and the caravan and ICE cages and the Trumpian rhetoric about diseased "bad hombres" and rapists embedded in the so-called caravan? Any mention of the caravan has suddenly disappeared. Even the wall is in the back burner because "radical democrats" and "Marxists" have taken center stage. |
Ogaonos:You're making my point I said it's too early to tell precisely because of the polls in 2016 |
hotwax:He's a centrist, or a somewhat moderate conservative with leftist tendencies given his past activities in Congress. But i don't think he's racist. |
AmazonTopaz:Trump relishes the chaos and disunity. I don't think the US has ever been this divided and racist since the civil war |
justli:Well the nihilistic Boogaloo and the white nationalist Proud Boys have been caught vandalizing and burning property, so it's quite reasonable to assume some of the carnage comes from provocateurs in addition to the radical left wing mob and antifa |
Ogaonos:Too early to say, if 2016 is anything to go by |
ibuildstuff:I'm not predicting the US president, I'm simply saying how the protests serve his interest |
Kolossus20:It's actually worse for Biden. Trump is using the violence to portray Democrats as supporting anarchy and chaos, while Trump uses the "Law and Order" mantra to spread fear and prop himself up as the savior of the American way of life. Already Biden has lost some ground while general opinion of race has taken a negative turn because of the endless protests and violence. |
lagosrd:Well good thing I'm fulani then. Right back at you |
Nothing spiritual It's perfectly natural |
And this is the story of southern kaduna. The barbaric natives do not desire peace, quietly killing innocent people out and about their business. And when they victims retaliate, the hypocritical christendom will rise in arms screaming blue murder and fictional genocide. Just look at how these charlatan christians are supporting this killing, but their tune will change if it's the other way round. That's why nigerian christianity is in tatters. God abhors hypocrisy. |

NGpatriot:It's "quite", you perennial jackass. Quiet is what you ought to keep. |
eduj:I absolutely agree on the thunderbolt and the rationale for getting the A29. My comment was in reference to a certain donkey's assertion that we're getting a "world-class" facility, not necessarily about the planes. |
NGpatriot:Since you're utterly stupid and childish enough to devolve into insults, which is the refuge of ignorant scoundrels, I'll meet you on your own terms, you whimsically dimwitted piece of putrid shiit. First, you made a stupid and nonsensical comment that we're getting a "world class" facility for the Tucanos; only a demented scumbag would make such stupid assertion, except if you're painfully unaware of what "world class" means within the bubble of your crass ignorance and general blockheadedness. But I won't blame you, after all no one expects a donkey's worldview to extend beyond his smelly snout. The T38, a plane introduced almost 50 years ago had only 210 incidents and is still in active operation, yet you're here making rubbish comments about 5 incidents. The A29 too has had its fair share of incidents and crashes so STFU. If you hadn't made your idiotic comment about a world class facility to support a light attack turbo prop i would normally ignore your stupid comment because insignificant online irritants hardly register on my radar. And by the way you know absolutely nothing, you stupid insufferable punk piece of shiit demented pile of turd. Fukk you and everyone you saw today. |
NGpatriot:World-class facility? For a turboprop trainer aircraft? If we'd bought T38 Talons, which are equally trainer aircraft but jet-powered, I'd have said ok. |
xamuell:Excuse me? The AMNH is a very real place and is open to the public, as is the Smithsonian and countless public museums with dinosaur fossil displays. Yikes. |
xamuell:Yes I've, several times at the American Museum of Natural History. Lots of fossils there. Have you ever seen an angel? |
Mercy who? Oh you mean last year's model. |
seanwilliam:People like you ought to be killed and your organs harvested to sustain the useful ones. |
Stephenmoka4:Actually it isn't, on the cosmic scale Earth is 4.5 billion years old The universe is more than 13 billion years old |
