It's shocking how one quickly starts enjoying mindless violence... No country for men old, I was always looking forward to the next scene knowing it'd be bloody. In American psycho, I thought what a psycho the mad man Patrick Bateman was, picking up girls in pair and murdering them but haa I enjoyed every bit of the kill rampage at the end where he just kills everything in his path even a cat. I was disappointed by his standards when he failed to kill the last security guard checking in

So I got to watch Eraserhead, not blown away by this masterpiece maybe cos for it's category it's simple not so much 'mind bending' like Mulholland drive or pi both seem to have got their inspirations from the movie. Was expecting much dialogue but it's almost none existent. Some of scenes are unbelievably great with so little dialogue. My favorite is when Henry ignores his baby, all he wants to do is get down with the sexy seductive neighbor goes over to her door knocks no answer comes back disappointed, still ignoring the baby then he hears footsteps, rushes out and sees the lady with an old man. Pissed off closes the door, switches off the light peeps through the keyhole but sees nothing since they went in closing the door. The baby seems to laugh at this petty desperation.
This is a 'mad man's movie' so annoyingly creepy. I was almost in a trance at the beginning cos I was cooking beans and boiling water on a hot plate and the sound just synced and amplified the movie sound, no talking just noise, got me scared a bit lol
The movie deals with life problems of a struggling adult involving an unexpected pregnancy and sexual fantasy so well. Great job by the director. 7/10.
BTW Henry's hair is 10/10 Bruno Mars' inspiration it seems

Also feel MMM is a contributing factor to recession, money that would have otherwise invested in businesses to grow the economy keep moving from one bank account to another till it finally moved offshore, about 20billion. Banks were against it so definitely it affected their businesses. And it wasn't just MMM, we had hundreds of ponzi schemes. I believe they wrecked havoc on the economy directly and indirectly. No wonder Nigeria two years later is the capital of poverty. I'm no economist of course so it's just plain speculative theory. Economists can shade light.

It came crashing in Dec 2016 since it wasn't really an investment rather it sort of was like robbing Peter to pay Paul whatever. Billions gone in a flash, lives lost for some who couldn't bear the consequences of losing huge amounts resulted to committing suicides.
However, not everyone was at the losing end. Some made a fortune that's almost criminal for doing nothing. The most beneficiaries, not oblivious to anyone that knew about the scheme, were the so called 'guiders'. These guys made millions, hundreds of millions and even billions for some.
So, where are they now Mavrodi the supposed founder died few months ago.
The MMM top guider, Chuddy Ugorji made reportedly 4billion naira.
Where is he now?

mullholand drive is so unexplainable. my lack of understanding of the movie got me maaaaad. deleted it afterward.

I got mad too first time so so mad I told my friend that I asked to download to delete it instantly after we finished watching... That why dafuq make a movie so hard to understand but after reading articles on it online then re-watching I got the hang of it and appreciated the work of art. Most times the girl was sleeping or lost in sickening thoughts. The movie explores the mind of the disturbed beautifully, the realities of one passing through life, at the start she was an upcoming actress everyone clapped for her then someone took her spot, she got jealous and murdered her, her conscience kicked in and she lost her way now the people that cheered her at the top laughed at her in the end she couldn't take it and killed herself. What so confusing about it like most of these movies is you hardly can tell whether something is real or just in the mind of the disturbed. Stay away from 'the double' then I'm still pissingoff after watching ten times over and reading everything online I still just don't understand, never gonna watch again never

Lol...Watched Shutter Island. So damn crazy my understanding was all wrong till I finished watching, read the plot and smiled to myself. Try watching Inception too, its directed by Christopher Nolan the same guy who did Memento.
