I doubt if you can get this week. The only tip I have is to ask Uni to chase UKVI (hopefully you can get next week) and also ask them to extend your late arrival.

Hope UKVI has sent instructions on how to pay. I think normally u will have to fill in the online application form again and only pay for IHS. you don't have to pay for the application fee.

Welll its a one year extension.. the automated pay thing was £150 but it was meant to be 225 so 70 difference.. and yeah it was from them..

What's the duration of your course and how much did you pay? Are you sure email is from UKVI? How much are they now asking you to pay?

Depends on who's requesting. Is it UKVI? Ideally when paying IHS, it calculates the exact amount of ur length of course

It's 28 calendar days. These guys ehnn sometimes just do whatever they feel like. We even sabi the guidance pass them

I got a reply from the home office today and the refusal decision has been overturned. I've submitted my passport at the ikeja vac and I'm hoping to get it back sometimes next week.

I'd just like to add that i have just confirmed from a document released by the office of the Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration that the limit to get a response for administrative reviews is actually 28 calendar days and not 28 working days like that man in the previous screen shot claimed.

The title of the document is :An inspection of the Administrative Review processes introduced following the 2014 Immigration Act, and it is available online.

If your refund isn’t paid within 90 days, then you can email or call them.

I paid another IHS for the application that was submitted. The former application wasn't completed cos i used up my 5 chances of paying for my visa fee. That application was cancelled even after i had paid my IHS, so i had to start a new one and made a new IHS payment. So i need a refund of the initial IHS fee.

Thought you submitted your application .. u av to wait up to 90 days before it's refunded. A refusal is almost instant

You can't use it again and will have to pay another. The previously paid IHS will be refunded.

How many days now? Your Uni can also chase the Home Office for you but only after 28 days. So check with ur Uni.

Well ... As soon as you got your CAS, you should have spotted the error and raised with your University. I thought it was on ur CAS and would have referred you to email the entry clearance amendments team. Again you said it's optional so probably that's why.

If you however decide to go for a year work placement, the University will issue you a new CAS and you will be able to extend your tier 4.

At the point I applied for it, I wasn't aware that my course is two years lemme explain the first year is for academics and the second year is for work placement and its optional. I'm afraid your uncle cannot sponsor you unless you can prove without reasonable doubt that he is your Legal Guardian.

From the sounds of it, your leave would have extended (Section 3C) until the appeal is no longer pending (in this case you withdrew). If you have proof, apply for an Admin review.

I submitted an in-time application which was refused. I had the right to appeal which I did and left the country to apply for a tier 4. So yes I had a valid visa.

The fact is either way shouldn't really make any difference. If you put Naira on the left and pounds to the right, ideally you should get the same result but the problem with Oanda is that they round it up to the nearest 5 decimal places and you will definitely not get an accurate figure. Google currency converter for example is rounded up to the nearest 2 decimal places giving £0.00 in return.

Therefore best practice is to just keep the £ on the left and Naira to the right which must people have advised

Do the Maths na ehn bros ... (£150 x 5 years) + £75 .. what ever you get, convert to dollars and bingo!, that's what you will pay

IHS is £150 for a year but when you are paying online, it comes up in dollars instead of pounds. The $301 must be the equivalent of £150 + £75 (£75 being the additional 4 months added to your visa)

Tier 4 general sponsored student should be the appropriate visa type since you are being sponsored. I just googled and read the uni of Manchester visa guide and it says otherwise explaining each visa type

I have a quick question please regarding visa sub-type. I am applying for tier 4 student visa for my PhD, and I am fully sponsored by both my school in the UK and the university where I work here in Nigeria (both pass as official financial sponsors). Which visa sub type is most appropriate? I had thought it should be Tier 4 general sponsored student, but I read somewhere (uni of Manchester visa guide) that I should still select tier 4 general student, the sponsorship not withstanding. This is what is causing the confusion. Any ideas pls?

Not all Unis request for Bank Statement. Interesting thing is, she can still make it if she starts counting the 28 days ASAP. If her CAS states 'latest start date' (which is usually 2 weeks after resumption), it might be worth a shot using priority service.

How come the school even issued her CAS without checking her statement of account to ensure it is sufficient for maintenance? I think that is part of the responsibility of a sponsor.

Since your dad's account has already been touched and tampered with, using your uncles account is a big NO. The only option here is to wait till January. Honestly September 14 is just to close by to start counting another 28 days (my opinion)

If you pass the security questions, there is no reason why they can't release it to you. The NI is yours na so forget bureaucratic

Unfortunately, I can't lay my hand on any of those documents now. I misplaced them when I moved out of the UK then. Thanks for the contact, will try and call them. Just that those guys can be quite bureaucratic at times, and time is not really on my side.

Please I need some suggestions on an issue. I am currently filling my online visa application form for studies in the UK and I am required to supply my NI number if I had been assign one before. The issue is I got an NI number when I did my Msc in the UK, but I have misplaced the document and I don't have the number written anywhere. It's there anyway I can get the number back so that I can include it in my application? Saying I don't have the number is not an option as UKVI already have it on their record.

Depends on what's on your CAS and how your Uni has assessed you. They might not even include your pgd on your CAS. Have you gotten you CAS yet?

Please do they accept letter of attestation by the school with a copy of transcript attached. I hv my bsc certificate, a scanned copy of my pgd transcript on my laptop and a letter of attestation indicating that the certificate isn't ready. Can they be used?

The guidance says transcript or certificate of qualification anyways which I have a attached. This was last updated April 2016
