The 1 month payslip was a no no.

He did not meet up with Category B of the financial requirements if working with current employer for less than 6 months.

He needed to also proof that he had earned minimum 18600 in the last 12 months by adding additional payslips from previous employer.

Or to just wait extra 1 month before applying

I was refused yesterday and I very sad about it.

The ECO who handled my case wasn’t nice at all.

My husband started a new job in September last year and has been in working before then. So we submitted 6months payslip that is 5months from his recent job and 1 month from his previous job wc ended in August last year. I was refused based on the fact that my husband hasn’t worked with his recent employer for 6months. My point is my husband still works and I believe if they needed his 6th month payslip the ECO should have sent an email. Plus my husband submitted a letter from his employer and also 6 months bank statement. Right now i am torn apart. I dunno if appealing is the way forward or I should just reapply. Please i need an urgent response.

NTU is a lovely place to study and the scholarship is obviously competitive and not automatic. Your application depends on how packed and convincing your statement is.

I think you can. You just need to state clearly why you were denied and that you have now attached the original documents.

The documentations you are expected to submit is very different from a worker on PAYE ........

Form is completely different from the financial guidelines. Google Appendix_FM_1_7_Financial_Requirement_Final and you will find your answer there

Category F: Last full financial year
Where the applicant’s partner (and/or the applicant if they are in the UK with permission to work) is in self-employment, or is either the director or employee (or both) of a specified limited company in the UK, at the date of application, they can use income from the last full financial year to meet the financial requirement.

Category G: Average of last two full financial years
Where the applicant’s partner (and/or the applicant if they are in the UK with permission to work) is in self-employment, or is the director or employee (or both) of a specified limited company in the UK, at the date of application, they can choose instead to rely on Category G. This allows them to use an average of the income received in the last two full financial years to meet the financial requirement.

I’m listed as codirector of a PLC, we have an accountant that handles the tax element. I just found out that I am outside of IR35 on the contract I am working on for the client.

What implications might this have in terms of the financial requirements? I still obviously comfortably exceed the £18,600. And what extra documents might I have to include in the supporting documents if any?

Since October 2017, UK banks no longer provide in branch nor stamped statements for visa purposes. Just print off online and submit it.

You will have to leave the UK to apply for any tier 1. Switching to Tier 2 is an exception though

Strange! I use Lloyds and when I ask them to stamp, I tell them on each page and they politely accept ☺️

I’m not sure UK banks stamp on every page. They are credible enough. So all he has to do is print the statement and send it off to Sheffield alongside the other docs. My bank is Barclays and they even had a self service till for statements, when I asked them to stamp on it in time, they politely declined.

I would advise you post rather than scan.

You can print it out from your online account, take it to your bank and ask them to stamp each page. This is what I usually do.

My bank usually takes 2-3 working days to send a letter headed if I order online. So basically depends on who you bank with and how they operate

You can scan other requirements. Both if you posting bank statements, you can as well post them along ☺️

if this is for a visit visa Sending it via post to her would make it more authentic. (This is me assuming that you’re in the UK and she is in Nigeria. If you are in Nigeria, you don’t need to send that to her for a visit visa, it will be scanned at the Visa Office).

If, however, this is for a spouse visa, no dear. Please keep your statement and all other documents that are from you. She is the one that’s meant to send everything she has to you (by post), then you will attach the remaining documents to hers and send all to Sheffield, ok?

This is the thread for spouse visa, I advise you to start reading from page 320 or 330 so that you are well informed before you start asking questions.

According to the guidance, it will not be accepted. It's better you get it stamped on each page at the bank and post it if you are not using the Ad hoc bank statements printed on the bank’s letterhead.

You should be present legally in the country or territory you’re applying from. If you can get a residential permit in the ECOWAS country you are currently in, it will make life easier for you.
