Last year November 2017, WhatsApp introduced a new features that allowed users to delete a sent message within seven minutes after it has being sent. While the feature was a welcome development, many complete that the time duration was too short.

In response to this, the new WhatsApp beta version 2.18.69 is extending the time duration from 7 minutes which is 420 seconds to 4096 seconds which is about 68 minutes and 16 seconds or better put, 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds.

According to report, the WhatsApp beta version 2.18.69 update came with the ability for users to forward stickers to other chats in the 2.18.67 beta. The 2.18.69 beta update reportedly also came with a bug which causes the app to crash when the user tries to send GIFs

A basic school teacher whose heroics went viral after images of him teaching ICT on a board went viral has received the attention of Microsoft.

Owura Kwadwo shared images of himself on his Facebook page weeks ago teaching students how to identify basic elements on a computer monitor without actual resources.

He resorted to the drawing board to teach pupils in his class how to use a computer.

The ICT teacher sketched an average Microsoft Word document on the chalkboard with the parts of the window labelled, enabling the students to get a fair idea of the various parts of a typical Word document.

His commitment to teach and determination to make his pupils comprehend the subject gained attention of some people on social media who made pleas for him to get support.

An entrepreneur on Twitter Rebecca Enonchong @africatechie appealed to Microsoft Africa to assist the teacher with resources and build his capacity to motivate him keep on with his task.

This appeal was warmly welcomed by the Microsoft Africa team who responded to her tweet by emphasising that "Supporting teachers to enable digital transformation in education is at the core of what we do. We will equip Owura Kwadwo with a device from one of our partners, and access to our MCE program & free professional development resources on"

This gesture has been lauded by many on social media.

Microsoft replied in the affirmative and also promised to support the teacher with further training to equip him with more advanced skills.

The teacher who became an online sensation after photos of him drawing a computer on a blackboard, claimed there was no computer in the school and they had to improvise to tutor the students who were so much willing to learn.

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teacher, Richard Appiah Akoto decided to be innovative in the face of lacking teaching and learning materials. So Akoto had an ingeniously simple idea: he drew computer features and software on his blackboard, using multicolored chalk.

Pictures of Richard Appiah Akoto drawing a Microsoft word interface on a board for his pupils were shared on Twitter.

Social media exploded in admiration and wonder at his effort to explain how the computers works. Some people went as far as saying the guy should be nominated for a Nobel Prize award.

Among the hundreds of people who shared the post and helped popularize it was Rebecca Enonchong, an entrepreneur who urged Microsoft Africa on Twitter to provide Akoto with some proper devices so he can leave the chalkboard behind.

On Tuesday, Microsoft Africa replied, promising Akoto a computer and access to educational material.

“Teaching of ICT in Ghana’s school is very funny,” he says on the caption accompanying the post.

Trust me when I say I know a lot of men nowadays(both on and outside nairaland) don't have respect for women. So when I see one who is sensible and respectful, it's always like a breath of fresh air. But you also need to chill a bit.

When the word "decency" come up, it doesn't just mean in dressing. It means a lot of other things which can't be known by just reading someone's quotes to your comments 3 or less times.
I don't think a female nairalnder's bad stories will be complete without having to add one or two nasty experiences with some guys here. I'm not an exception too. Those guys also came off as "decent" until their evil/wicked cloaks were removed behind the scenes. After all, even creeps can be "decent" with the help of SM & the anonymity it accords them.

So please, forgive me y"all if you think I hurt anyone's feelings. But I'm not gonna apologise for being cautious.

PS: If he's indeed a decent guy, I Pray our paths cross again. I can never have enough decent & genuinely good people as friends.
