Imported Solid Wood Door vs Locally-made Wooden Door mufutau55: Oga Brabus.. on the average how much does each of this kind of internal doors costs compared to the locally made wooden doors like mahogany,Yeah, the doors are very Bea-uti-ful! These internal doors have a better feel, better performance, close easier and are finished with better material. However, the cost-benefit analysis/decision is based on individual need. The locally made wooden doors are equally nice and solid but I'm not certain whether the performance is worth the cost. Cost 40 - 50 grands for the imported doors against 60 - 90 grands or more for doors for locally made wooden door of the same or near finish/quality. |
babatosan: Oga Brabus what advantage does full conduit have over half conduit piping....The advantage of the full electrical conduit over half conduit is that it is adaptable. It enables the replacement of cable with little or no disruption to the functioning portions. In layman term, you can repair or replace wires in the master's bedroom without disrupting connection to the other parts of the building or fiddle with the electrical distribution line. |

Another big week begins I didn't make it to the site until around lunchtime, but then made myself busy preparing templates for the wall belts and preparing the doors for installation. A pretty straightforward day it is today. However, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Preparing through invitation of the experts for the Geophysical Survey of the project site to determine the depth, location and properties of the site. A preliminary site inspection prior to drilling of the borehole. In the meantime, the welder is busy working on our custom-designed Water Tower. How we designed the Tower? While making final choice for the type of tower to be installed at the Chateau, I was faced with dilemma of how to erect the water tower: Is it 1. To lay a foundation for the tower, build a full standing tower, tip it up and get a crane (which is out of the question, since there are no cranes within 25 miles of here) to lift it into place. or 2. To construct the tower in segments, build a foundation base, and then install the whole edifice in stacks like a telecommunication mast. Some of my guys on site assured me that I'd be crazy to try the second plan... but I didn't seem to have much choice, so that's the one I chose. The 9m water tower cannot be transported as a whole to the project site without spending a couple of thousand naira more. |
