It can be used, so long as it's not a fake document and the account and amount can be verified.

judisco2019:
Please has anyone used a statement of account from microfinance bank. If someone's salary account is in a microfinance bank, can it be used as SOA. Thanks guys.

What some people who have jobs do is this, they get a letter from their place of work asking them for an official copy of their transcript. They then use the transcript when the school sends it to their place of work.

Stevenssen:
I told them exactly this and they insisted that they only send official transcripts and they do not send at all to students. They said I should have been making record of my transcripts myself sad

Work requirement on study is for those who have a co-op option attached to their study. If you don't have this, don't tick the 'Yes' box on the form, where it asks if you'll need to work while you study. Ticking 'yes' means you're going for a co-op type of study.

Martbills:
Good day house, please I need suggestions here. I have started my online application, I have gotten my personal reference code. So please I was ask to upload my evidence of work requirement in study. Letter of Acceptance, passport, Student Exchange Letter. Proof of means of Financial Support. Digital photo. Family information (IMM5645),

So please, which one is work requirement in study. And Student Exchange letter.
Please I need support or format so that I know what to do next thanks.

Hi, that is a denial/refusal. Check your email for the denial letter, and if it isn't there, send an email to them.

Oladimejii:
I got a mail that my processed passport is ready for pick up. No medical mail nor upfront medicals. I had presumed it was a refusal and had prepared for the worst.

I got there today, picked up my package and tore it open to find my passport with the attached slip. Mind you my Online Account is still on Eligibility check.

The only message I received last week was correspondence mail.

An online application cannot be tracked in the real sense of the word. What you do is use your MyCic to know what stage(s) the application is in. Any information/documents needed would be communicated to you via your MyCic account.

Good luck.

Ayomiposi2020:
Yes it is an online application

You can send whatever you want to IRCC using the Web form in the contact section of the IRCC website.

I don't understand your 2nd question properly because of the grammar but I'll try to proffer a possible solution to the best of my understanding: send your brother's statement of account and letter of sponsorship using the Web form or to the email address of the visa office handling your application. Please send them ASAP.

Good luck.

Happy Sunday everyone. Pls is it advisable to upload SOA after 6months to revalidate the earlier one uploaded during application.
2. Can I upload now my sponsor passport data page which I omitted when I applied then
3. In first application in 2017, I use my brother as sponsor, in 2018 reapplication I use my uncle and same brother use in 2017 application but only uploaded my uncle affidavit, SOA etc. Should I now upload my brother letter, SOA etc ?

It is possible to reapply to another school for admission, after one has entered into Canada. When the application is successful and a new acceptance letter has been issued, the person is required to send a message to IRCC with the new acceptance letter attached.

Please go to 'cic dot gc dot ca' to confirm the steps and requirements.

xtianengr:
Tnx boss,

assuming the person have to re-apply to study another course with lesser fees, is that possible and also can it be done when such person gets into the country, will such have any effect?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 4:31pm On May 26, 2019
Phemmisky I really do not know what to say about this situation. In situations like this, I always advise to go for the truth. Because:

I don't know if the visa officer (VO) will believe that in 1 year a career path has become that saturated to warrant a change.

To me, the first reply sounds more reasonable. Others may have a contrary opinion, but this is mine.

Also, I'll advise she applies for her GCMS note immediately so as to ascertain the reason for the delay in reaching a decision.

Good luck to her.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 4:19pm On May 26, 2019
I'm not very sure of what would happen but I assume it would have an effect on the issuance of a PGWP. Canadian schools are “mandated” - for want of a better word - to send periodic reports, to IRCC, on the international students enrolled there. Which means that if your school sends a report that you deferred your admission for six months after you've entered the country, it may not end in favour of the student.

xtianengr:
what happen if he/she defers the admission for like 6months when he/she gets to Canada, will such person have issues when processing PGWP
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 3:03pm On May 26, 2019
Hi, sorry to hear that your friend doesn't have money to go to school yet. I'll suggest (s)he don't enter Canada yet, they should wait till they get money to pay the fees before entering. Also, they should defer the admission and get a new admission letter before entering.

Some of those who instead of going to school after they've entered the country, start working get caught when they want to apply for a postgraduate work permit (PGWP). This may cause them to not be given the PGWP.

And if he can't get it deferred, he should look for a cheaper school, preferably one that comes with a form of funding or scholarship.

Talanf:
Hi Guys, happy Sunday. I really need help o.

A friend got his student visa for Canada and he has paid his acceptance fee in the university but he doesn't intend to go to the school yet because he can't afford it. So, he wants to get in and defer so he hasn't paid any part of the tuition. What do you think he should do? Will the border officials let him get in without paying tuition? Even though he has paid his acceptance.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 2:21pm On May 26, 2019
Your words were contradictory. You don't know how to order GCMS notes, then you say you've made arrangements to order them. Please stick to one narrative, let's know how to help you.

I know this form or reporting is new, but can we at least do it right? Judge Bulkachuwa RECUSED herself.

Secondly, most of those women weren't made judges because of their husbands' influence, as the post seemed to imply. Please do proper research before coming here to insult women who have worked very hard for the positions they have attained in their careers.

Kishkosh:
Guys. I can not thank you all enough .
Original passport request . First time applicant with virgin passport .

Application lodged on the 12th of June 2018 with upfront medicals.
Biometrics done on the 22nd of June 2018 . And medicals updated as passed on the 7th of August 2018 and that same day my eligibility review started.
And since then , I didn't hear from the embassy . because of the delay I lost my admission and I had to reapply again as the school does not defer ... a specialised and highly competitive programme . Fortunately I was offered admission the second time and I mailed my new admission letter to the embassy and also sent an updated statement of account alongside the new admission.
Since then , I've been bombarding them with mails.
I sent mails to several MPs, about 7 responded and took up my case , including the PM and Minister for immigration , I even extended my mails to the senators and speaker of the House and also the some Assistants or top personnel in IRCC office.

I didn't stop . I kept sending mails to anyone I see as a too official in Canada because my understanding is that they can't refuse me visa cuz I'm sending several mails(in don't know who has that thought )
And just today , I got the passport request .

Thank you everyone . special thanks to Makano(this dude advised me not to withdraw my apllication just yet and told me to keep sending mails. Makano will connect me to his office internet and tell me to check nairaland visa section for updates . I will go prepare the place for you bro, I'm your John the Baptist , yours will come in no time) @frankrobbn1 , @kpizzle ,this dude called me late in the night , shared his experience and gave me reasons keep hopes high when I was hell bend on withdrawing my application.
@Asapant, my man . You're blessed .
@qudcom, @sillysassysally @justmellow @austacus @bracha and all other persons who gives to this section of the forum , God bless you all. Good work you guys are doing ...
I wish @goingforward is still here .

Above all , GOD GOD GOD !!! HE DID IT .
I prayed and fasted and I'm happy it payed off.
My other moniker was just banned
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 7:20pm On May 24, 2019
I think your admission can be deferred. But, you must ask the school for either a new acceptance letter or a statement or letter from them which would enable you explain things better at the port of entry.

While the visa will be for a specified time, usually for a period less than your study period, your visa can be renewed after you've entered Canada.

Just get your visa first, then you can go from there.

Congratulations!!!

ralfudoh:
I said to myself: I must testify before the end of this part
First application
Feb 24th 2016.
Refused 4th march 2016.
Reasons : Purpose of visit and home ties.

2nd application
June 21st 2018
Biometrics 22nd June 2018.
I was in Lagos for a friends wedding, decided to do medicals on 25th August 2018. Sent to CIC and my online profile was updated to passed on 29th August, same day, eligibility review started.
On May 14th 2019, I was asked to submit an updated admission letter because my resumption date had passed. I called my school and after 10mins, letter dropped, I forwarded to CIC. 24th May 2019, Original passport request dropped. Application approved.
My application took almost a year. I sent over 1000 mails (not exaggerating) regarding my application. I was sending 5mails to Lagos office and 5 to London every morning and evening. I mailed 121 MP's in Ontario province where my school is located, twice. I mailed the prime ministers office and the immigration ministers office, they responded after the third round of mails, and asked for more information which I furnished them with and I was told I will hear from them before 24th May 2019.
And on the 24th of May, 2019, my application was approved and I was asked to submit my passport for stamping. As if Gods favor is not enough for me. While I went to submit my passport after 15mins of getting PPR, I walked into VFS and did the process, got my number, the whole place was so crowded (1st time am seeing VFS Abuja so crowded), I sat down, removed the passport request letter and was reading it again to be sure if am not dreaming. Guess what guys, the manager of VFS walked out of his office, walked past me and came back and asked if am here to submit my passport and I said yes, he called me, when behind the counter, collected my passport and signed on the letter, put it in the VFS bag and that was how I was attended to. The entire VFS Abuja were surprised to see a June 21st 2018 applicant. They checked twice to be sure. I can't thank Jehovah for his infinite Grace towards me. He is the Almighty and supreme being.

Hi,

1. Please learn to quote/reply posts properly. I think you know how to do this but were adding to my post on purpose to try to make a point that was useless in this context. Don't EVER try that again with me. If you have a contrary view or opinion, PROPERLY REPLY THE POST AND DO NOT ADD TO THE ORIGINAL POST.

2. Co-op work permit is different from Postgraduate work permit. Do your research and stop jumping to conclusions wrongly. And get down from whatever moral high horse you're sitting on.

Have a good day.

Hello,

I'll suggest you reject that admission because according to cic, graduates of The Toronto School of Management aren't eligible for a postgraduate work permit. Please check the attached picture.

You can find out for yourself by searching for canada postgraduate work permit on Google.

Hello all,
I'm not so frequent on this platform so forgive me if i ask questions to that which has already been discussed. Please who has heard of TSOM here (Toronto School of Management). i applied online and was given a partial scholarship. How would one know if the school is legit? if they offer student loans and Accommodation. If there's anyone here that has attended the school or knows someone who has, i would be very grateful if you can assist in any way possible. thanks

The 100cad is okay.

For certification of transcripts, I don't know how that can be done. Austacus could you please help out here.
Thank you.

Naughtyvirgin:
@Bracha I decided applying to fawashe for a Graduate Certificate in Broadcast Journalism - Television News and i noticed one of the requirement for admission entry was scanned certified copies of university transcripts. My question is how do i get the transcripts certified?.....and i also noticed a deposit of 100CAD was to be deposited without refund, is the app fee not on a high sideor is it similar with most canadian schools?. Thanks.

PS: As regards your last question,he intended using an agent which I am against since i"m well grounded with how USA student admission and visas works. I would not want an agent milking money for things one could easily access on here since its rich with informations from experts like yours.

I think you're confusing a biometrics instruction letter for a biometrics correspondence letter.

The instruction letter gives you the go-ahead to do the biometrics, while the correspondence letter tells you the validity of your biometrics.

OptimusPrime21:
Den don't worry again apply with it and it's valid throughout the duration of your application from submission to decision making..... I applied last year 2018 and am getting a decision in April.... so worry no more

Biometrics instruction letter? Isn't that the letter stating you need to submit your biometrics? If it is, I suggest you head to VFS Global tomorrow and do the biometrics immediately. If you've paid for the biometrics, then go with the applicant's passport and the biometrics instruction letter to VFS Global.

Good luck.

Bkoks:
I did o
I have the printed biometric instruction letter with me

Wait till Friday to go to vfs to inquire....didn't u pay for biometrics as u were applying online

I don't think there's any issue, but I suggest you raise a CSE tomorrow if you haven't raised any since it was submitted. Before you raise the CSE, check one more time, then call VFS Global to hear what they have to say.
