Please how do you know this? You sound so sure of this information you're giving out. JustMellow: Yes, it's a valid point. In each province the population is higher than most so IRCC (via the VOs) is also very cautious about this when issuing out visas.
There is always a limit to visa issuance by the VOs each year. |

Send a Case specific enquiry or email concerning the medical request. Include that you submitted an upfront medical result along with the application. I'm sure someone else will tell you how to go about it. The earlier you do so, the earlier your approval arrives by God's grace. sillysassysally: Please when did they update your medicals to passed?
I submitted my own application with upfront medicals but they still sent me request to do medicals... |

In what way(s) did the person say province of choice plays a role? TheAfrikan: YES....
So, I was talking about the study permit with a friend who is a Permanent Resident.
I was told that the Province you apply to study also plays an important role in your study permit application.
Can this be varied by others so as to educate new study permit applicants on the way forward.
Thank you....... |

Yes, really. It's not their business how you made the money - If they want to know, they can check your statement of account. Their business is to ascertain your eligibility to be and study in Canada, considering different factors. As for the financial factor, all they care to know is if the money in the account you submitted can cater for your studies and if it'd be available to you when needed My opinion tho. JustMellow: Really?! |

I'll try my best to answer from my limited knowledge of this process... 1. Canada has a list of designated countries, please use Google to find this out. Your visa refusal doesn't mean you travelled to a designated country. 2. I really don't know why you want to include your trave history in your SOP - maybe someone else can help with that. If you do decide to include it, your employment letter isn't relevant, your resident permit is as long as it was a legal residence. 3. Please include all your refusals in the form, be they in the new or old passport. 4. My answer to no. 3 answers this question too. Include all your refusals. Please speak on your home ties in your SOP: what will bring you back to Nigeria/your motivation to come back to Nigeria. If you need help on that, please go through this thread to see what you could possibly use for home ties. alubarikalomo: Hello guys, I sincerly appriciate all your efforts and selfless service in putting every applicant through in our documentation for visa approval . May God almighty crown all our effort with success. AMEEN! Please guys I would like to ask some vital questions as regards my visa application.
1. I intend to do online submission so I have already filled my study permit form and also validated it but im confused on the aspect where they ask if I had already lived in any designated country for the past six years and if I was refused visa before. In 2014 I travelled to Qatar for work but returned back to Nigeria in 5 months after.....also in 2015 I was refused visa to attend a conference in Germany
2. My question is, I don't have any employment letter as prove of work in Qatar but, I still have my expired residence permit id card. So can I include it in my sop or I should not even mention it as part of travel experience in my application since I do not have the employment letter. Although, the residence permit for my qatar travelling is on my expired passport not the new one I have now
3. Can I state in my form that I was also refused Germany visa some years back. This also appears on my old passport. Should I include it or not since its on my old passport.
4. On my new passport I was refused a shengen tourist visa in Feburay 2019. So I only included this alone as my only refusal.. should I leave it like that or what.... Pleas, i need an urgent reply to this above questions from the guru in the house. Thanks and God bless you all. |

Hi, I'm seriously the worst person to ask this question, because I don't believe an applicant has to prove the source of their funds to the VO. I believe that so long as the money in the account covers tuition + 10kcad and some extra is left for the sponsor's use, they're good to go. Please wait for the others to answer because I'm certain my answer isn't what you want. Asapant: Hi Bracha. How do I prove to the V.O my Dad owns a business that his not registered. Hey Sally, I just realised you took down this post. I hope it wasn't because of my recommendation; I didn't mean for them to ask you for the SOP your friend used. I meant for them to give you their SOP for review especially because of grammar.
I'm really sorry if I've caused you any inconvenience - I just realised a lot of people are asking you for SOP.

It'd be almost impossible to work and study full time if you do not have a co-op type course. Please go to the first page of this thread to read up on what is required. You can also use CIC dot GC dot CA. Tuition would depend on the school you choose or the school that gives you admission. Also it would depend on the type of degree you're going to purse i.e undergraduate degree or a master's or a diploma. No need to use an agent; that 400K can be put too good use for other relevant things. If you're really intent on achieving your dreams, use Google, read extensively on this thread and previous ones, research, research, research. Good luck. fufuNegusi: i have the money to pay for any other expense and cost apart from the tuition... like how much do you think i need to save up for the tuition?
Plus, i wanted using an agent but they charged me 400k plus other expenses i will still have to make
i was adviced that its something i can do by myself rather than paying such huge amount to somebody
i will be really grateful if you can help me achieve my dreams by giving me relevant infos on how to go about all the processes |

You can apply without IELTS, it's not a requirement. 2. Most schools don't require you to pay tuition upfront BUT working full time while schooling is impossible. Therefore, I'll advise you take your time to build your finances and other required parameters (please see the first page of this thread for more info.) before you begin an application for admission to universities (you'll need to pay application fees and tuition fees) and an application for a study visa. Good luck. fufuNegusi: Please does anyone here have any idea on
1. how I can apply for Student Visa to Canada without using IELTS??
And
2. which schools in Canada won’t require me to pay any upfront tuition fees ( I wish to work and pay off when I get there) ??
I wish to do a Postgraduate MSC course over there so I’m really in search of how I can achieve this dream
Thanks |

Yeah, I think you're very correct. Also, I think his personal account was low. He's going for an MSc. not a PhD so he can't fully rely on that stipend, he needs a little more money in that account. His wife may even still join him at a later date. My opinion tho. sillysassysally: How is NYSC a red flag? i don't agree with this.
For me, I think he failed to convince the VO on two key things. 1. Purpose of visit - how well did he address this in his SOP 2. Intention to return to home country after studies - the OP is 31 and has no travel history. Also, how well did he show potential job prospects upon his return to Nigeria?
These are the things that come to my mind. Of course, GCMS notes would help put things into perspective. |

I sort of knew this was leading here, but I wanted to have you say it instead of assuming. I think it's better for them to verify for themselves, that's their job not mine (the applicant's). When I applied, the only thing I filled was my 10 year work history, I said if they wanted to do a background check, they should be my guest. I got the visa. That was me tho. Anyone who wants to put theirs can do so; just do what makes you comfortable. BUT don't put in too much document that'd lead to confusion. Being concise and precise matters a lot. If it were an interview, being concise and straightforward would be the best way to go about it. Qudkom: It's the employment verification process. You don't have to provide everything but to be on the safe side you should provide your employment letter and work ID card. Cic at random sometimes do physical verification of applicants work places. The chances are slim but not impossible.
PS: Salary account is also a plus. |

Everything I'll be writing here is my opinion from the little knowledge I have. The money in your account is small; if they refused you based on funds, then your funds are low. Increase that amount or get a co-sponsor who would show their willingness to support you by either paying a part of your tuition or paying the money earmarked for the sponsorship. I'd advise they pay a part of your tuition. Even if they do pay a part of your tuition, you need more money in that your account. I'd have said you should wait till after your NYSC to reapply but I suspect you're in a hurry because of that mouthwatering Graduate Assistantship you have there, so I'll say you should write a banging SOP addressing the rest; because of the NYSC and the employability reasons, I'll advise you remove that unemployed and put your NYSC place of employment. I don't see the relevance of Nos. 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21. The documents that concern your extended family aren't relevant in my opinion. Your wife is the only family you need to prove as a home tie, and if you have children that'd even be better. Unless you're the one taking care of your mom, then you can explain that in your SOP/LOE. The purchase agreement is for a family land, not a personal one, so why will that bring you back home? I'd have used the family land as a supporting document for funds (this is for online application) while in my SOP I'll write why that decision was made, going as far as to say that the land can be sold if I get short on money. Work on your home ties please. Show how that degree will work for you here in Nigeria. Please remember that these are my opinion. Someone else may have a contrary view. I wrote all the above based on my limited knowledge of the application process. Godspeed. AgroNACT: TRV REFUSED! PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVICE
I applied on the 12th of April, after 21 days, i was refused based on the following grounds: Travel history, Personal asset and financial status, Purpose of visit, Current employment situation.
I studied Crop Science (B.Agric) and I got fully funded Msc admission to study same course, Plant Sciences at MSc level (Applied Plant Ecology and sustainable system option), U of Sask, College of Agriculture and Bioresources for Fall term September, 2019
The funding covers my Research expenses, Tuition ($6536), Living expenses ($10000) with extra balance of $7k, annually.
I will be 31years old this July. I am currently serving and i will be through with NYSC by July also.

It'd get uploaded, be patient. I think the reason you're having that issue is because it's an online application; conversely if it were a paper application you'd have been able to track it by now. Just use your myCic account to track the progress of your application. Good luck. harveygordon: Hi Everyone,

I don't know how this transfer would boost your application, especially if you already submitted their statement of account when you were applying. If they transfer the money to you now, you'll have to submit an updated statement of account, and it may look suspicious. Why didn't they transfer the money when you started the application? What are these documents for? Are you applying for a visa that has just a few documents required or something else? Please be careful what you include in your application - be as concise as possible. To your question, I don't know what you should submit. Asapant: When adding sales receipt to application. Should we submit the whole booklet for six month or we submit the just November 2018 and April 2019 cash booklet this 2 months should cover six months. Hello, It's taken me long to answer this because I saw someone else had replied to it, but I want to speak about refund policy for Brandon University (BU). If you're going to BU, have paid a part or all of your tuition, and haven't been issued your visa, contact Iris Wang of the International Student Office, before the first day of resumption about refund. She'll send you a form to fill - the form for withdrawing from classes - and would even guide you on how to fill it if you ask her to. You have to print the form, fill it with a pen, in capital letters where necessary, email in small letters; scan the form and send back to her. She'll process it and withdraw you from the classes. She'll then speak to Financial and Registration (Fin & Reg) to initiate your refund. PS 1: initiate the refund protocol on or before resumption of classes so you can get your full tuition refund. If you initiate the refund before resumption because of late visa issuance, and the refund is processed, when you get the visa, you MAY have to reapply to BU for that admission. 2. If you initiate the refund process late - after the stipulated deadlines - you may be given half or part of that money you paid, depending on how late you started the process. It'd be calculated by Fin & Reg, and the remainder would be refunded. 3. If you initiate the refund process 10 days after school resumption/10 days after the refund deadline, you'll most likely get very little of your money back. BUT if you get the visa after that, you won't need to reapply for admission as admission office will see you as an active student. If after getting your visa, you're still interested in attending BU, you could speak to Fin & Reg asking them to move that money to your next resumption date. Let me explain no. 3 properly: so you get admission for September - but aren't able to make it then because of delayed visa issuance - but you've asked for a refund because of this delay, howbeit you asked for the refund 10+ days after the deadline; if the visa is issued while the refund is being processed and you still want to attend BU, speak to Fin & Reg, ask them to move the refunded amount to January or September of the next year (whichever applies to you) so you could pay your tuition with it. This would only apply to someone who can't meet up classes for a particular term because of delayed visa issuance. But if you could start immediately, and not miss any classes, please do. God bless. Frank274: .
3) why he printed the account to that time is because he has 38m balance then so I don’t how much left now.. If he prints to the end of April the money has reduce as he said. Please the statement he printed has his company name not his own name but he is the m/D CEO of the company. What do you have to say here please
7) the marriage certificate I got from him is a prove of his married to my sister... it that ok? Then for adding my mom statement or her expired passport photo with Travel history is to show a second sponsor. Is that ok?
A) Please my school is Brandon University.. do you know the refund policy? B) I have a two plot of land I bought bearing my name but never surveyed it... can I use it because I only have an IRREVOCABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY of the land?
C) my late dad has three plots of a landed property, surveyed and registered in lands the documents has my name and my elder bro name too, now I don’t have his death certificate as prove of its an inheritance from him.. but I still have his burial brochure can I use that? Or must it be date Cert?
D) my in-law gave me only his surveyed landed property but no irrevocable power of attorney can I use it?
And please do I have to include all this properties in my Sop or do I have to write a separate explanation letter for it? Bro please please can I have written SOP but can you help me to review it? No vex with all this my disturbance. |

Also, please I need a comprehensive information on students visa requirement.
