Politics / Re: Mabera: Muslim Lawyer Who Defends Yahaya Aminu-Sharif Has Renounced His Faith by branhampaul: 7:39am On Sep 07, 2020 |
The Islamic cleric then called on the people to go back to their creator and seek for His forgiveness, saying, all these calamities bedevilling the country are signs of our wrongdoings. This is an irresponsible statement by the cleric. Does he think, in his wisdom, that Nigeria sins near half of many other countries progressing. The reliance on prayers is one of the biggest challenges this country is facing. The average brainwashed Nigerian would rather pray than think of a solution to his/our predicament. Such is our problem! We do not need prayers in this country; what we need is a reformation and a politically conscious youths and prayer will not play a role, because for the past twenty years we have being praying and nothing effectual has been done. |

Vianna: It is obvious that your logic and mindful-thinking is very faulty, it needs a repair. Books could help you. Does it make sense to take an issue pertaining to a particular circumstance, and then generalise it to apply to everyone (even not involved in that circumstance). A man "bleeped up" in a particular scenerio, and according to your thinking: all men are therefore scums. I am not impressed. |

Very good step. The Nigerian Court should use this opportunity to declare such law as barbaric in its' entirety. It is an insult to my senses. 1 Like |

You tenants staying in the house (or neighbors) should interfere in order to settle them and talk sense into him (do not do it solely); if you fellows interfere and he does not listen, then you fellows can inform the police. What the man is exhibiting is a criminal offence under the Nigerian law. |

Do not trust completely, reports from Sahara reporters, they are inclined on seeing Nigeria divide. After following them for some period before, I noticed, and hence I started applying caution. Nairaland mods should take caution before sending a post with Sahara reporters as source to the front page. |

TimoWerner: I was actually forced to put law on my writing of jamb, and today I am glad I was forced. Go ahead for the law study, you will not regret. You will find the course interesting as you progress the echelon. Plus, you will develop a lot of boldness; and knowing your rights. If it pleases you, go ahead with the law study. Even some medical doctors, and other professionals, come back to study law. 2 Likes |

... but I am sure religion and tribalism is eating us up badly. In my view, unity is paramount! Looking forward for: Christian Bar Association; Traditional Worshippers Bar Association; Atheists Bar Association; Northerners Bar Association; South Bar Association; East Bar Association; West Bar Association; Add more... Lol On a serious note, I have always espoused regional Supreme Courts, then a final overriding Supreme Court having exceptional jurisdiction, particularly in Constitutional matters. |

Sanisi get wisdom. Read his quotes: "But a man who has an opinion that can be agreed with or disagreed with is always better than a man who has no opinion at all." "If you don’t want to be controversial, you just be flexible, just flow with the wind and nobody knows where you stand. Then you will not have any friends or enemies, as the case may be" I seem to like his intelligence. I stand with NBA though. 1 Like 1 Share |
Sports / Re: Bayern Munich: First Unbeaten Champions Since Manchester United In 2007/08 by branhampaul: 10:28pm On Aug 23, 2020 |
I watched the match on my phone via an app. Nice win for Bayern Munich. I actually wanted PSG to win, but wishes are not horses. Bayern's defence was good. PSG midfield lacked lustre, though they had it sheen at the first 20mins, but thereafter, Bayern had the possession till the end. Notwithstanding my succinct comments above, the match was relatively boring. Football 1 Like 2 Shares |
