striktlymi:Of course, no one likes that. I'm reiterating my stand again. I was just kidding. I didn't mean fight as per say. I've never fought over a man and I'm not about to. I'm talking about giving your relationship your best shot. Being able to look into his eyes and tell him its alright when the whole world screams its not.. |
Ipledge:You mean your about-to-wed bride ? ![]() |
goofyone:Oh no!! |
Ipledge:You're telling us that ? ![]() ![]() I smell lies |
chukxie:Gradgrindian |
xcapizt:There's someone with that moniker o. Don't mention her |
striktlymi:I didn't mean "go to war" for your boyfriend o. I mean going out to keep him happy... Doing the little things you feel are not important.. BTW, what's wrong with fighting for your man ? Won't you like it you were fought over? ![]() ![]() |
striktlymi:There was a marriage Swidy. Maybe built on lies but a marriage nonetheless...... |
Who said I'm 'hunting'?? ![]() ![]() I'm deciding not to mention you but puhhleeaaasse! Speak for yourself!! You no know say money dey high?? When he's having is when he'll realise she's not classy, just cos she's been conservative. And he'll notice Benita at the bank is more beautiful. And some other flimsy excuses to cheat. He may still love her, but it won't be like before. I've seen this happen a lot of times. The worst is when they drop you and get married to some girl they just met.! And about generalising, I said "a lot", not "all". I don't generalize. |
Op, you have a problem with make up. But all these guys saying "true", "I dislike them". Who are the men "liking" these women in life ? Cos they have loads of "likers". |
naijaboiy:Nollywood or not, you and I know a lot Naija guys can't be faithful. Its just not their nature. Now, they could appear faithful when broke (they can't afford two or more babes then). When they've made it?? They don't hesitate to drop the woman who's been with them through thick and thin. At times, the woman leaves when she realises she's no longer relevant... But he pushed her away. I keep saying this: "A woman's loyalty is shown when her man has nothing, but a man's loyalty is shown when he has everything! Caveat: There are faithful guys around. Just so few of them you hardly get to meet them. Emusmith Sorry for mentioning again. Had to correct your moniker |
TrollMan:Why?? Because they're women..... And I think it depends on what topic. |
emusmith:Ohhh.... Enusmith |
TrollMan:Intelligent? Because it speaks for men?? |
It has been shown time and again that the male psychology is driven by a "massive" ego. And, as Africans, we're not particularly expressive when it comes to love and romance, males and females alike. Even though this attribute or lack of it is is mostly visible in men, our ladies harbour a fair dose of it. I recall one of Basket Mouth’s jokes where he said that for an African father, when he walks his son/daughter to school in the morning, he watches him/her saunter towards their friends as soon as they arrive to school. Often, he would say “take care, you hear? Look before you cross the road, you hear?” He utters those words while holding his ear in an effort to underline the importance of his advice. According to Basket Mouth, those words mean, “I love you.I care about you. I would not want anything to happen to you. You mean the world to me,” but they are phrased differently, and I wonder why? It is not uncommon for a Naija babe to shy away from being genuinely expressive with her man. It seems that an average Naija girl tends to think her man has to place his neck on the chop board before he hears her say, “I love you honey.” “You mean the world to me.” “You are the rock of my life.” “The look in your eyes make my world beautiful,” and so on. That she does not say it does not mean she does not feel it, I have to point out. They feel its so "white", and doesn't matter. There appears to be an unspoken rule in place that men do not need such soul-enriching and mind-edifying words of love. “No, they are macho, they can handle anything.” Men themselves tend to send the message that they are capable of lifting the earth and placing it on their shoulders with one arm. Friends may consider them too soft should they admit that they want, expect, need and crave such lines from their wives or girlfriends. They need more attention than they're given. Now my question or questions: "Would you fight for your man?" “What does fighting for your man mean to you as a woman?” If it is something you deem important, how best would you go about it? This doesn't mean fighting in the real sense of it, its more about the things you do that can strengthen him and the bond you two share... The little things that matter...... |
Unibenstudent, thought you don't do the "types", "reasons" post ![]() You sef don join?? |
iceberylin:And I was about asking where you'd run off to. You left your FTC position for others. Nice to see you're back. Enusmith, with his 7™ . I saw 7 and just knew it was your thread. ![]() ![]() |
I'm not sure where to post this. Mods help me out please She's about to be married. The marriage requirements or 'lists' have been given to the husband to-be. Of course, he must have prepared for this. But the list is somewhat exorbitant and paying all these things will mean a less posh wedding........ My question: Should a woman who's financially stable assist her to-be with money for payment of the bride price or completion of the rites?? Is it advisable?? |
Op, I also think Calabar should be among the first three. Now, that's not because I'm there....... Lots of visitors have said Calabar babes are beautiful..... True about Owerri ladies . |
I've never asked any of these questions..... Not that they don't cross my mind though, just that I can't ask. If I want you back, I could tell you so and not beat around the bush.... Lol @ "Don't you miss me"..... No answer is good enough. Bia, Enusmith, what have we done to you?? Show me the woman that got you this PAINED biko.. ![]() ..#LeaveUsAlone And what has the number 7 done too ?? |
Some of these things are true. But we had this discussion of worldly dance before. Now, what is a godly dance?? How's it?? The drinking and cohabiting part is true.... Now someone mentioned "come as you are". I think I'll reply later.... |
Not again Enusmith! Seven ? Now I'm beginning to wonder |
Op, I don't like fair guys o. And from Tallesty's definition of swag, I don't want that too. Now, give me a sensitive, intelligent, caring guy. He doesn't have to look like a wrestler or what you term 'handsome'. Just average. Not striking. Classy, maybe. And of course, money.... Lol ![]() |
Barezzi:No. Why?? |
