Please don't allow him to derail the thread (that's his plan). This thread is about the signing of a bilateral air services agreement. It is not about bandits or any of the other things that he mentioned. He can go and create another thread if he wants to discuss those things.
So all Tinubu traveled to Brazil for was to get direct flights for one airline in his country?

You still don't get it!
If Ipob formed ESN to fight Fulani bandits how come they have killed more Igbos than Fulani terrorist?
Do you have any link of ESN in confrontation with killer herdsmen in the east?
I don't mean staged propaganda videos where ipob esn bandits are seen chasing after one or two cows..killer herdsmen doesn't herd cows.
We all know that Nigeria army is compromised when it comes to herdsmen across the nation not just in SE but is that an excuse to turn your stolen riffles on your own people?

Ipob as a group is nothing but a kriminal organisation.
So if you don't believe the videos of ESN chasing Fulani herdsmen, why do you believe the videos that are in circulation of ESN killing people in south east?
PoliticsRe: We Are Hausa, Not Fulani: Hausa Youths Expose Fulani Atrocities, Call Out Propag by Brendaniel:
Ojiofor:
I don't have any link for you but is that the reason why ESN ipob claimed was created to secure Igboland against Fulani bandits turn around and became a terro to same people they claim they wanted to protect?
You don't have a link because they have never done it, have you ever sat down to think about this: Fulanis were killing Igbos in their land, Igbos were crying out for help, they ignored, IPOB set up ESN and started fighting the herdsmen and immediately the government went after ESN and still left the herdsmen to be killing Igbos.

Then suddenly the same ESN allegedly starts killing Igbos they were protecting but somehow the same government is still going after the same ESN they claim are killing Igbos and still leaving the herdsmen to keep killing Igbos...

Don't you see a whole lot of things don't add up here, if the government as they claim are fighting ESN because ESN are killing Igbos, why are they not fighting the Fulani herdsmen from killing the same Igbos?

Don't you see they have you where they want you to be ? Is the Fulani herdsmen killing of the Igbos a righteous one and the ESN own an unrighteous one?

something doesn't add up, can't you see you have been deflected from the real problem here?

If the Nigerian government did not fail in their duties there will not be ESN in the first place, can't you see you have been here blaming only the ESN and Igbos instead of blaming herdsmen and the government...

If the government is sincere about solving the killings in the south east, ESN will not even exist.

The truth is even if the government destroys ESN today does that stop the killings from herdsmen?

I'm not here to justify any form of killings but the government is not sincere about helping the Igbos, why don't they tackle the problem from the root cause and avoid all these noise they keep making about fighting insecurity in the south east.

Nigeria is where it is today because this present and the immediate past one hate tackling problems from the root cause because they lack sincerity, and once you fall for that you begin throwing blames away from them like you are doing.

if the government is really sincere about helping the Igbos they would have tackled Fulani herdsmen first and see if Igbos will not give them support to fight any person claiming to be fighting for the Igbos in the name of insecurity in the south east.

Also the Nigerian military have been know to treat the Igbos very bad, so you don't expect Igbos to trust the Nigerian military, reason why the agitation for Biafra keeps getting stronger, no one tries to leave a place he is being treated well and also enjoys...

The present government is not sincere and I feel they have a hand in the killings going on in the south east by some of these groups who claim to be one thing or other.

If they really loved the Igbos as they claim is the reason for fighting the ESN they would have done the same for the Fulani herdsmen.

Esn/BLA/umuoma/ipob have killed more Igbos than Fulani herdsmen has done in 40 years to extent nobody wants to hear about the word ipob or Biafra anymore in SE.
Btw ipob is about 12;13 years old not decades as you claimed.

My question to you is, why is the Nigerian military going after only IPOB/ESN and not Fulani herdsmen killing Igbos in the south east, can you produce just 1 news link of the Nigerian military killing or going after fulani herdsmen like you have done for IPOB here ?

After warning Nigerians about Fulani invaders and bandits he created his own version of Fulani terrorist in the name of ESN and started killing and pillaging Igbos villages until they turn to ghost towns.
So who has Nigeria military been fighting in the south east?

Ogun state is yet to have better governor. Most of those who have been governing don't know the extent of the potentials of the state not to talk of the proximity with Lagos state, sharing border with Oyo state, sharing border with neighbouring country Benin

If the new Cargo airport is well maintained, it should serve as strategic airport for cargo exporting shipment in Southern Nigeria specifically.
The same Tinubu claimed and bragged that he put Eleyi as governor of Ogun state and you people clapped for him calling him master strategist, now you are here throwing the same Eleyi under the bus to protect Tinubu's image.

Good question. First, I must point out I never regretted leaving Nigeria. My only regret is staying away from Nigeria for too long. I should have been back like five years ago and, I would never discourage anyone from traveling out, my only concern is staying away for too long and abandoning Nigeria.

I have learnt a lot my time here on how to survive anywhere in the world, I have a good career here and I think this is the best time for me.
I am not saying there are no chances of failure in my plan but if that happens, I would simply hop on a plane and leave again. My job is never affected anywhere in the world and I will make more money in Nigeria than anywhere abroad. I want to take advantage of cheap labour and our population of over 200m.
But you left Nigeria to find better opportunity because you didn't see such opportunity in Nigeria?

The governors remain the weakest link in the efforts to accelerate the economic growth of this nation. They have everything at their disposal, effectively insulated from legal hurdles against stealing by their immunity clause and unfathered access to LG funds. As though the situation isnt bad enough, we have a population, ESPECIALLY from the East, that think it is a taboo to hold governors to account. A people that will proudly tell you they dont care who becomes governor, or NASS members, but only the president. Along with this comes a vacuum of accountability at the level closest to the people, with governors behaving like unquestionable emperors.

In the end, whatever little progress we manage to make due to Abuja becomes neutralised by the drag resulting from underperforming governors. This has been our plight as a people.

HOLD YOUR GOVERNORS TO ACCOUNT. EACH OF THEM COLLECT MONIES ON YOUR BEHALF PEOPLE.
So you are telling us that Tinubu was so stuupid to remove subsidy and rely on governors to do his work for him?

Minimum wage here is $15 per hour and still that egg is not as fresh as what is consumed in Nigeria. I have a huge distrust for eggs that need to be refrigerated. I get from the general store, a crate of free run eggs here is around $8.50. Its the organic that is expensive.

That plantain is good, here it is around $1.20 per lb for a plantain and still not sweet like Nigerian plantain.
So what exactly is your point, if you are in America for food why not come back to Nigeria and settle down to be getting fresh egg?

As a firm believer in the existentialist presumption that the outcome of elections is to a large extent "pre-ordained" in most Third World nations, I have never in my life participated in any voting process anywhere in the world. As such I would need to conduct a Google search to remind myself which political party is currently in power in Nigeria.

That said, I do presume that electoral democracy respects the right of commentators to air their views on current events without fear of arrest or persecution, PROVIDED THAT violence and ethnic or religious unrest are not being advocated in the course of exercising the right to free speech.

Dude, what's with the "you people" tag?

Address issues without trying to subtly bully people.

You made a whole lot of suggestions but forget you're in a country where funding is an issue. Assigning police personnel to private citizens that can afford it is one of the ways the NPF gets funding. You can talk about creating a seperate section of the force that uses none-lethal/defensive weapons and are strictly only for private citizens except in times of crises where they'll need to assist the main police force but stopping it outrightly is just creating more problems for the future.

It's easy to make plans and say you'll do this and that when you have unlimited funds but that's not the case. A lot of people have seen these issues and even had better ideas than yours but once they got there, the reality was different. You are dealing with powers that be, people that have more influence and resources than you.
And you think the private security agencies won't be paying some sort of levy to the police which will in turn generate the same revenue for them?

look the point here is stop the abuse of using police officers, it is irritating, do you see police officers following celebrities abroad, even Elon Musk the richest man does not have police officers following him about, he uses private security .

Like i said earlier, that's the problem with you guys, you people hate solving underlying problems, instead focus on the symptoms,

Because your solution will not still stop the abuse of police officers as long as they keep assigning them to people because of money, you just still proved me right again
