ur best bet is 2 go into ur manufacturers site, put ur model no and get ur drivers right away.. no 2 pcs are identical except they both bear d same model no( am not referring 2 product no here).... even if they bear d same name... 4 e.g ur lan port might come 4rm a difft chip manufacturer likewise d other pc

did u boot in2 ur bios n check if it recognizes d hdd.. can u identify d hdd led on d case n si if it lights up wen d pc powers on (i want 2 believe its a laptop..even desktops ve hdd led on dia casin.) well if none of dis work.. u ve 2 open d hdd compartment n si if its in position.. if its not make sure u fit it n power d pc back.. if it still doesnt show den u have 2 use an external connector.. u cud probably get an external casing 2 si if d hdd is working.. lastly what os re u tryin 2 install

have u tried an external kibod.. if u havent i suggest u try an external usb kibod.. and tell us ur experience. u might be in 4 a kibod replacement.

I was asked to format d system to be able to make use of it which I did, a windows 8 OS was installed to d detriment of a lot of drivers. The misplaced password was later found but here's d challenge, can the previous Windows 7 OS & all d drivers that came along with d system be restored? Thanks

since u said its new i suggest u take it back 2 were u bot it 4rm.. maybe its a factory problem no need 4 troubleshooting since its just a day old.. gudluck

zion32: I have tried it and its working fine.My pc came with windows 8 peinstalled and now i have successfully dualbooted with ubuntu12.04 LTS.Two things are (1) disable secure boot (2) leave uefi mode enabled. with this two set in your bios you should be fine.The only PROBLEM is after installing ubuntu when you restart,it will take you straight to windows 8,To boot ubuntu restart and go to boot manager (on my hp 650 laptop i get there by pressing f9 ) you should now see your ubuntu partition,select it and grub 2 shows up.(you will need to do this everytime you want to boot to ubuntu.

Error x00000025 .... Am formattinq the system as in factory restore .. It is disabled: said recovery media shd be used... So i hv backed up all important files got 3 DVD to create recovery media.. Doinq the 1st dvd burning and verifying section 82% nepa took the liqht i just hibernate the system.. Hope no probs with that.... So as to resume it later.. Briqhtk suqqestion to slipstream drivers will be beta into winxp..... I wan to do a factory reset and install both win7 and winxp .... Wit a clean system

win7 vs winxp is tricky cos if u ve win7 installed n u intend 2 install winxp hmmm winxp will try 2 overwrite the boot loader.. at the end of the day u will find only xp booting n u nor seein an option for win7..although there is a fix 4 it but i havent played with it cos d last time it happened, d owner of the pc was in a hurry.. and i just wiped d hdd installed xp first den win7 later.

unless u want 2 play around n mess up ur pc den u can go ahead n install xp with win7 installed first den u can look for the fix 2 correct d bootloader. i 4 look out 4 a way 4 u but i nor get d hardware 2 experiment 4 now....or maybe u can do a clean wipe of the hdd install xp first and den win7..


but my best bet is jst 2 run winxp along side win7 in vmware..i.e if u ve at leat 4gb ram or even 3gb..

i can remember there are 2 slots for ram.. one is visible (underneath the laptop) while the other can be seen wen u take d laptop apart... remove d keyboard---close 2 the touch pad i tink on the right hand side.... u will find it there.gudluck

to boot to bios by using f10 or f2 and play around the bios until u see
native mode, compatibility mode, change it from ACHI to legacy or compatibility mode


In a nutshell achi orsata mode is fvista and windows 7

when installing xp u either change it to the second on the list
or disable it and when u want to boot windows 7 u need to go to bios and
reverser it.

i de quick de 4get tins dese days oo.hmmmm not all laptops have this option to change the sata mode from achi 2 ide or compatible mode.. pls play around with the options in ur bios 2 find out.. morealso there might be some hitches cos by default the file system of xp will overwrite dat of ur windows 7 boot loader... although there are fixes for this but i havent tried any of them..

the last time i did a dual boot. the win7 didnt boot up only xp.. there was no time 2 fix the bootloader since it was urgent.. so we had 2 install xp first and den reinstall win7.. abeg nor try experiment except u want to t end up crashing ur live system.. if u have enough ram in ur pc say at least 4gb just get vmware workstation and u can run xp side by side with ur window 7..

but if u have above 4gb ram...den u can actually use vmware 2 actually experiment dual booting win7 n xp all inside the vmware...at least u go learn

i once wrote a tutorial how u can use ur systems 4 ur yrs 2 come without actually repairing hardware parts.. only God knows d damages caused by this ur new charger..anyway..get a follow coem charger and a surge protector.... shud be around 4k excluding the surge protector-- abeg buy from reputable store.. back 2 ur pc.. try n power the pc without d charger. hope say ur battery still de work abi na desktop or ups u de use

ok.. i will do a new set of cd.. i already posted the links for everytin u need.. jst get the normal xp cd in the market.. download the sp3 that u will integrate its abt 3 hundred n sometin.. both the sata ahci controllers and the inf utility are not up 2 30mb..i am going 2 upload a tutorial..last reminder. make sure u have .net framework installed at least 2.0 is recommended bt if u ve higher version no prob

check underneath the charger.

does ur charger get very hot

i skipped this one.. did u change ur pc charger recently check ur system 4 d required charger voltage( its written underneath the case.. if u cant find it there.. pull out the battery and u will see the description there..also try n si if it works well on batteries only
