mgb4reel: please i need; my laptop realy gets hot these days. I mean real hot to touch especialy d mouse board and i dont use d laptop 4 longer periods. It just gets hot! Pls help

have u examined the fans?? do de spin? more also do u notice any vibration from them...some may even have dust or other particles clogged on d blades... my best advice is that u get it 2 a gud technician 2 examine it..

Kingsley1000: Pls i need help. I installed vm ware in my win7 to run some win xp compatible programs. So i assigned 40G to it but when i uninstald d vm ware my 40G didn't come back n i don't know what to do. Pls help cos 40G is too much to loose. Tnks

if i may ask did u click on the box where it says allocate all disk space now when u wen creating d disk?

if u did den the whole 40gb space will be allocated instantly.. if u didnt then as ur files grow bigger, the space will also grow 2wards d 40gb u allocated initially. there shud be a default folder (my documents/my virtual machines). u shud find all ur vms there...so go ahead n del d folder if u dont need d vms anymore

Illuminatus: Hi Knight. I've tried. I inserted the disk, shut down and started up the computer again. The cd compactment vibrated a lot and it showed the normal compaq logo for long time the computer started normally. Asking me to type in the BIOS password, then windows password and showing the desktop. I also tried loading the disk through an external CD Drive but still the same thing. What now?

wat windows n size of ram re u using anyway if u dont want 2 risk 4mattin ur pc u, look 4 folder options on control panel...go to d view tab n u will find under it ---LAUNCH FOLDER WINDOWS IN SEPARATE PROCESS --- select it, apply n ok... it might help a little bit

did u refresh dat particular page after u enabled it?cos some systems at some point tend 2 misbehave.. just enable it, right click n refresh.. if possible restart ur pc... also post a screen shot of ur device manage.....

Illuminatus: The thing is that every time I start to format the computer, it will show starting setup. Then after sometime, it will say that the process couldn't be continued because the application was denied access to some installation files.

Get another cd...

Illuminatus: I tried formatting my system today but I learned that I couldn't because "the setup didn't have permission to the installation files". I think it has something to do with the fact that I have the BIOS password protection enabled. I tried disabling the password protection but each time I put in my password in the BIOS Adminstrator Password space, it acts as if I put in the wrong code. I use the same code to unlock the hard drive each time I start up the computer so... Anyway, now, I want to permantely disable the password protection. How do I do that?

d only way u can be prevented from 4matting ur system is if u have a bad medium u want 2 use 2 install (installation files bin corrupt) and if ur bios has a password up 2 d level @ which u cant select a bootable medium

dude from ur screen shot it shows dat ur wifi is diabled.. right click and click enable.. den u can check with 2 si if it is active or not with ur wireless switch.. gud luck

Last week BlackBerry Limited, formerly known as RIM, said that its BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones with BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 has been approved by the government for use on the Department of Defense networks.

According to BlackBerry, this "permission" is called an Authority to Operate (ATO), and it was given by the U.S. Defense Information System Agency (DISA). This agency is composed of military, federal civilians and contractors, and provides IT and communications support to the president, vice president, and whomever/whatever is contributing to the nation's defense.

BlackBerry claims that it is the first Mobile Device Management (MDM) provider to obtain an ATO from the government. The DISA is now supposedly deploying BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 on the DoD networks to support 10,000 BlackBerry smartphones by this fall, and around 30,000 by the end of the year.

"Receiving the ATO is a critical step forward in the security certification process," the company said. "The approval demonstrates that BlackBerry 10 smartphones meet DoD’s most stringent security requirements. BlackBerry 10 smartphones will enable DoD personnel to have the ability to securely connect to networks and access assets from work."

The government may be installing BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES 10) for more than just BackBerry's two smartphones. This device management solution allows IT admins to manage multiple, different devices per user, both corporate-owned and personal-owned (BYOD) devices. These include BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Android and iOS tablets and smartphones.

"[It] satisfies the full range of security needs; from a basic level up to the high security and control needs of government and regulated industries," reads the product description. Network administrators can manage "complex fleets" of devices and users through a single platform and management console. The latest version includes a Secure Work Space option for iOS and Android devices which offers containerization, application-wrapping and secure connectivity.

For now, it seems, BlackBerry's two most recent smartphones will be the first to use BES 10 running on the DoD's networks. “With foreign entities -- governmental and criminal -- ramping up attacks on electronic communications and information systems, BlackBerry provides government agencies with a proven partner that follows top-to-bottom security protocols," said Scott Totzke, SVP, BlackBerry Security Group at BlackBerry.

News of the ATO for the Z10 and Q10 arrived just before BlackBerry Limited announced on Monday that its Board of Directors has formed a Special Committee to explore strategic alternatives that will accelerate BlackBerry 10 deployment. This includes possible joint ventures, strategic partnerships or alliances, an actual sale of the company or other possible transactions.

"During the past year, management and the Board have been focused on launching the BlackBerry 10 platform and BES 10, establishing a strong financial position, and evaluating the best approach to delivering long-term value for customers and shareholders," said Timothy Dattels, Chairman of BlackBerry’s Special Committee of the Board. "Given the importance and strength of our technology, and the evolving industry and competitive landscape, we believe that now is the right time to explore strategic alternatives."

i de doubt d authenticity of this ur engineer...I am not saying am perfect but common sense should have thought him d properties of fuel does not align well with components and pcbs. Although some engineers claimed it has worked for dem... i once remembered a story from a clients mouth.... he last words 2 d engineer was like " tank u engineer but carry am back 2 d way i bring am 4 u...lol " ...d tin de switch on and after washing it with fuel more problem come enter...d did has been done bro.. get a new motherboard.

WackyJ1: I took my mother board to the shop and the engineer cleaned it and then left it to dry. When he put it back in the system. It refused to switch on
and when the charger is plugged into the port, the charging light doesn't show.

u mean u waited while he cleaned d laptop and got it dried... hmmmm sometin must have gone wrong.. maybe some liquid is still on d motherboard....and wat did u he use in drying it

the mistake u made was 2 still continue using d system knowing fully well dat some liquid will still reside on the motherboard....jst pray theres no short-circuit.. like onegig said jst take out the battery first.....if notin happens... Try and get it around a gud technician or u can PM me ... i stay in wafi..

lol.. how did u confirm d speakers.... well check ur device manager 2 see if ur have a sound driver installed..
