ComputersMp3/dvd Maker by brightk(op): 9:17pm On Oct 11, 2008
Hello fellas,
Pls i am having difficulty trying to create an mp3 cd. the last one i created was ok. it played on my portable player only that it didnt group the artist.

the whole tracks were scatterd. i ripped 2 celine dion album, 1 rkelly and other various artists. but it didnt play by the artist instead it was like shuffling. I have bought mp3 cds from stores containing about 5-6 different artist but i didnt see any problem all the artists played sequentially and not the other way round as if the songs are being shuffled

More also, some dvds contain 15-30 films _20 in 1 dvd videos) Can someone tell me how they achieve this. cos i dont wanna make the same mistake again.

Hello Nairalanders

ComputersRe: The Best ISP In Nigeria? by brightk(m): 1:37pm On Feb 02, 2008
na wa 4 niger. na which day we go even improve for technology.

Anyway sha. i nor get internet for house but i dey try won establish connection. If u are one of the geeks here on nairaland who downloads lots of MB when i mean MB close to GB. Nigerian ISPS nor ger really good bandwith. how i go pay for 128kbps downlink and i go use abt 64kpbs. They dont really have respect for us. they feel we are mugus who dont know what we want.

Besides if their bandwith is expensive and its really superb when using it. what is the point of not connecting from them.

What they do is give us shared bandwith and tell us that we are using broadband. hmmmm broadband indeed. 1M downlin.uplink is what i call broadbrand yet none can even attain that number. Such a pity what do u think abt coneecting outside the shores of Nigeria?

PoliticsPdp In Delta State by brightk(op): 2:10pm On Apr 17, 2007
For those of u livin in the warri metropolis n delta state in general u would agree with me that the result for dis election is not true.

i personally did not register for the voting exercises 2 get a voters card becos i know with or without my vote the election would be rigged. i personally left my sick bed to see the crowd wanting to vote for tryants that call themselves govenorship aspirants.

nevertheless i must say this country would be in a total mess. if not that i wouldnt want to loose my love ones n myself in particular i think we should experience what liberia experienced so that when someone is coming out he wouldnt think abt his owm pocket but rather the entire pockets of the masses. OGBORU AND UDUAGHAN. ballot boxes were being looted from different zones. i know it might happen in other states but this one in warri esp was too open. voters never voted. the only places where votes were casted was only the ethnic tribes of that of UDUAGHAN. I must say the urhobos has sold their birth right to the itsekiris. those what we call our traditional leaders have betrayed us.

i know fully well of towns like ukwani, obiaruku, abraka, warri (south), ughelli north and south. all this places never voted. EVEN in ABRAKA (OGBORU), we never saw him on TV vote we only saw the likes of ibori and his cousin on tv castin their votes.

Governorship seat in Delta state is a kingship thing where after the father rules, the son comes in. ARE WE IN DEMOCRACY OR MILICRACY. na by force them take dey rule. wafarians and in did deltans would agree that majority never voted for that tyrant. he might be ur candidate but never mine. i am not saying that OGBORU is a saint after all he was a coup plotter back in the military. its not as if he is going to transform delta state overnight. All we want is that the lineage of the IBORI kingdom should be cast away so that a new family can come in. ONLY GOD knows if uduaghans nephew would come in after his 8yrs of ruling.

OGBORU has dissapointed us. 2 times of contesting and he bleeped us up. All hopes of faithful Deltans has been lost. I wonder how deltans took the result hook line and sinker to themselves. most people are angry. rumuors has it that a war might come up. but we are not praying for that. ONLY GOD KNOWS IF HE IS TRADING DEALS WITH THE PDP. this is the second time this is happening. Imagine his own home town did not cast their vote. He has not spoken since the release of the result. he didnt even cast his vote.

As far as i am concerned ibroi still rules even if he hands over to uduaghan. PDP i raise hand for una. First SSG and now a governor. 16yrs of foolishness is not a joke.

Okada riders will suffer vehemently . they will wear 4 helments and their ticket fees would be 250 a day tongue grin. their working hours would be 6-4 everyday. I am not saying that they would be the only ones to suffer the consequences of this new regime, deltans in general would suffer the same faith.

Like every regime, they would pretend to do some stupid improvements in the state. things that dont need attention in other to create awareness that yes we are developing the state.

OGHARA would become another new paradise on earth, delta state as a whole nor fine reach that place if na lie make una run reach OGHAREFE, OGHAREKI. this one go teach deltans lesson.
ComputersSecurity On Ur Pcs by brightk(op): 7:29pm On Jan 18, 2007
Until recently security information was something that was addressed by a handful of trained professionals. With the advent of e-business and the highly networked business, security has become everyone's responsibility. The paradigm shift of technologically enabled crime has now made security everyone's business. The consequences of a security breach is so large that millions and billions are being lost yearly

Who are these security treats to our pcs and files. Hackers. 2 bad for them cos the media has set their standard so low that everyone thinks they are harmful.

A hacker is often someone who creates and modifies computer software and computer hardware, including computer programming, administration, and security-related items.

They fall into difft gps such as the ethical, blackhat, greyhat and the whitehat hackers. i am not going to explain much here maybe later on.

As a network administrator would u live ur systems to be vulnerable and  throw security to the winds? If one may ask how many network administrators  secure their connection and systems or even their websites not to be defaced? or even audit their network to scan their systems for vulnerabilities that others might exploit and use it 2 gain access to their systems.

Nigeria is still growing and i know that in few years to come e-commerce would be the talk of the day as one would be at the comfort of his/her home and make things happen just like in the US or other nations. E-banking is presently on. phishing and scamming in this nation is on the increase. it is refered to as the yahoo-yahoo- here in niger. well i dont blame them its just a way of surviving rather than carry guns. but that is not the topic here

The question is how secured are u. with the advent of antivirus and anti-spyware programs we thought all we need to do is just to scan and thats the end. But with the increase of rootkits which are totally undetectable one has to be warned of the dangers on the internet.

what abt websercurity not to talk abt wireless connection which is the a new technology here. one can comfortly browse with his/her laptop/desktop pc without the lan cables scattered all over the ground

well i must leave now

the story continues from here,

CrimeRe: Internet 419 by brightk(m): 2:37pm On Dec 10, 2005
It's hard to believe the way the scamming rate is rising. All works of life are going into it. Tryin to get something into their accounts and stuffs like that.

If we really want to solve this problem, we have to start from the grass root. I think the FG should do something about the rising rate of unemployment in nigeria. i am a witness to a guy who is a B.sc holder in Mechanical Engineering (second class upper) who is a scammer. When i tried to find out what was the reason behind his scamming. He simply told me he is un-employed and does this to make him see the daily lights on earth. Even most people who are employed and are still scamming because in Nigeria your monthly expenditure is greater than your monthly income and in other for the equation to be balanced then a value must be put in place and that is where the scammin comes out.

When a man is hungry his ears are close and he thinks about himself. They know that they are spammers and what they are doing is causing more harm than good but they just can't hold themselves. After all some would say a governor can perform a miracle in the UK demolishing our image as Nigerians how much more myself an ordinary citizen.

Too bad we have disgraced our selves before other nations. but one thing i find hard is that the blame on these 419 internet fraud comes to nigeria. Countries such as Ghana including other west african countries and africa as a nation are into it. Nigerians in the Uk, spain, and other english speakin countries including the Us are not left out

As for the media in Nigeria they are notin to write home about. They need to improve on the broadcast about these spammers and the harm they cause to the society. Most Nigerias have fallen victims not only the "oyinbos them". I also think the media in these foreign countries should try and make some massive broadcast to their citzens stating the tricks these spammers use and the consequences of falling a victim.

If you watch closely apart from the INTERNET FRAUD ACTIVITIES the other crime rates have reduced to a minimal content, but the internet fraud activity keeps rising. I know what it takes to make a victim fall for you. some are not ordinary as they use all kind of spiritual powers against their vicitm. Others pray to God almighty to let their victims falll to the last limit so that they can collect huge amounts. Not all spammers do these. Its really a hard work for these guys to emerge out successfully. Ask them and they would tell u that its not easy

And lastly we should learn to be satisfied with what we have because these victims that fall as prey to these spammers are all greedy people. They want to reap where they did not sow.

PoliticsRe: What Can Honest Nigerians Do to Stop 'Nigerian Scams'? by brightk(m): 10:44am On Nov 22, 2005
First i would like to thank seun for bringing this kind of idea. Its true Nigeria has a bad image. But lets take a look at the way the economy looks like now.

I think the government needs to do something about the level of unemployment in this country. They should try and see means of reducing the poverty and unemployment level to a minimum range.

Most spammers are graduate (B.sc) from universities. If one may ask is it a crime to go to school after which u start suffering simply cos there is no job. Its not that i am supporting these spammers but it is mainly their source of leaving. U see someone airtime reading up to 98hrs(commonly known as the bulk time). Did u ever ask urself what kind of information would that person be looking for?

As for those cybercafe owners they dont have a choice grin these spammers are the one bringing the money to them cos u can hardly find a spammer using less than 2hrs to browse. I mean 2hrs is the least air-time for a spammer .

so bad it has to be this way. Well not blame these spammers. what abt the greedy "magad" who seem not be satisfied with what they have.

I know what it feels like as i use to be a spammer . that was long time ago but i stopped simply because i lost interest in it after my seconday school exams.

what i think is going to solve the problem like what one of our members rightfully said is for the so called EFCC to organise a campaign with foreign bodies telling their residents about these spammers and they go about syphoning money from them with their dirty tricks. Moreover the government should do something reasonable about the economy of a thing. its not moving us forward but we are lacking behind.
