kambo: @funky media your funny. You are seriously shooting yourself in the foot here. The software ur talking about is it free? If so then the purpose wasnt for profit. If it is not free then answer my next question- if the company employs developers how do they pay per annum? How many copies of the software is sold per year and at what price? Is the company a quoted company? Do they face competition? How will they survive massive market share attacks from predators if they dont have enough cash? FYI softgiants like microsoft have been able to survive and expand their product line because they charge well. They billions of dollars in cash that they can create a search engine to rival google. They pay their developers up to 500k usd and they attract the best talent , would b more productive with 5k dollars /year or 50k dollars? Life is not survival but thriving . With 45k usd excess that 10k developer can do much much more. All i'm saying charge well like a professional not like a beggar. On the accounting aspect they have been super software like quicken, quickbooks does it reduce the number of cpas no!! because that software of yours only automates the drudgery of the profession. There's more to accounting than preparing automatable reports. Accountants will have to find other ways to make money its a fact of life but ur view of accounting is poor, do you there is a philosophical branch in accounting do you know there is active accounting research that accounting isnt a static field? Did the electronic calculator make mathematics obsolete ? It only put abacus makers out of business! Besides as you urself mention the small business owners run from the human accountants because of the fees at least the human accountants are charging fees that are befitting not beggarly.

wiks from now i would be passing out as a batch a 2012 youth corper. Right now my head is jam packed with so many tins in mind like either going back 2 school here in Nigeria, starting a small business, travelling out 2 further my education or looking for jobs..

I here piple goin for interviews here and there in different fields.. please what i want to find out is what kind of information do i need to know in order to write these interviews. i believe they are both oral / written exams.... some piple say its Gmat..

funky medina: I am glad u asked this question! there are people who know the software exist ,but still scared of using PCs for more than email (this is where the sharp guys come in) ..they buy the software and rather than pay an accounting firm an arm and leg get a bookeeeper or whomever to fill in all thier business details and pay what you can say is 10k-12 for what used to cost 10times more. They do it at thier own risk but when it has worked for you for years and you have had no tax problems then what is the argument for paying an arm and a leg for a "proffesional"

funky medina: Listen guys , ur intellectual arrogance is misplaced.(I am refering to 2 posters above) You nigerians and ur glorification of degrees/paper qualification, you think you need less brains to run a horticulture /plumbing business than to write html..Jesus hold me oo!! In Sweden/Norway there is a fantastic accounting software called Visma that completly erases the need for an accountant if you run a small business.. I mean COMPLETLY, it does everything including everything you need to fill in ur tax form at the end of the year ..Lets call it the wordpress of accounting..

So in ur minds accountants should get together and ban progress because what they made seem so hard has been made soo easy and accesible to everyone? No you adapt or go out of business and many have or go after big companies and what not. I am still not convinced of the need to ban anything ..its progress ,some people pay 10k and get a great site ,some people pay 70k and get rubbish , price does not gaurantee quality! or does it?

D Don1: In other countries; like usa, you cannot find this transformer based inverters there. The transformer based inverters is mainly for hobbyist, it is still working, but it is an old technology. People still make the transformer based inverters because it is easier to make, not that they will prefer it to the other inverter. Do u know what makes the ups heavy? It is the transformer. Locally made inverters are still the transformer based inverters.

if transformer are no longer useful how come even the top makers still implement them in ups designs.. the truth is u cannot underestimate the power of a transformer.like i said everything dat has advantage has disadvantages.. transformerless inverter doesnt last compared 2 its rival.. d only tin i si in dem is portability but am after quality and durability. chikina

what is the maximum load a residential building can use.. i was contemplating dat at least 10kva no matter what d r load.....cos even buildings dat take up their own transformer all use d 10kva type. i havent seen above dat

D Don1: come on. the chargers u say that burn are mainly china cheap chargers. Does ur original charger burn? No. It is the same thing with these inverters. Let's say, the 1kva inverter is quite small, while the transformer based ikva one looks like that of a stabilizer. And let me tell u, it's more efficient than the transformer based inverter.

u dont ve clue of what u are saying....the inverter dons still use transformer for the inverter design---sukam
if u design little project kits on electronics u wouldnt be talking this way... try n find out..

Slyr0x: A smart developer would rather budget for 1 site a month (Or 2 at most), charge high for that 1 site(relax 1 week of the month) than do 10 low-priced sites and never have time for himself.

If after going to school to do what you are doing, paid school fees, paid for office accommodation, pay for fuel and you feel 20k/site is YOUR WORTH, then I have absolutely NOTHING against you.

A real professional knows his onions.. you cant eat ur cake and have it..if you are charging 20k per website,i would want to believe u are just trying to build a big portfolio after which u want to step higher. As for those Indians (if u ve tasted poverty u would go down low)...i dont blame them, the earlier they realize their worth the better for them.. i know of a web design company who outsource their projects to indians simply becos they charge lower than their Nigerian colleagues. 4 me creating a union is out of it.. but i think everyone knows his/her worth..

sometimes i feel discouraged seeing amounts being paid to full time web design staffs....its really sad as our value have depreciated.
