present cappo, am 38weeks 1day today my bags are already packed and am ready for labour bcus i cant wait to hold my princess.

I have started my walks but i dont usually do it everyday

i feel pain and heaviness in my jajaina, i cant even walk well. To turn in bed or even stand up is a problem.

Target making the walks every day....that turning in bed na project oo ooo....no be only you ooo. When getting up from bed, always get up from your side's, either left or right and do it slowly and not abruptly. ...

Good morning beautiful mommas, abeg how do u guys walk long or short distance? I tried it yesterday and it seems to me like a trailer passed btw my legs.the heaviness down there now ehn is something else. Should I still try again or just give up and balance on yoga and stairs climbling. Plus my left leg is locked since I trekked. Oh my!

That is exactly how I felt the first evening I did the walks. Infact it was so bad that I almost couldn't walk back home and was tempted to take a drop back home....but I summoned strength and walked back....the second day, it slightly eased up.. but by the third and fourth day, I didn't feel it that much....infact ,with each passing day, I have more strength to walk farther.
So hang on there ooo. Don't give up. Continue it. It's your body'sinitial reaction. ..it will soon adapt...Focus on your goal.

P.s I always go with 100naira or so incase I get too tired and can't walk back ooo , I will take a drop home oo to avoid undue attention on the street. But so far, have not had a reason to use the drop home. You can do same.

Wait a min Dear. Lemme understand you. You mean this is your baby no.2 right ? So DH is angry with you cos scan said it's a girl ?? If this is your 2nd pregnancy, how come he did not support you? Is it that you guys agreed to have only one child and he is now angry with you cos you broke the agreement? When you found out you were pregnant, did he ask you to abort it or something?
Sorry I have to ask these questions because answers to it will help you know how to go about it and brace your self up better.
My Dear. Be strong for your self oo. Remember, You are NOT responsible for determining your child's gender. It's the man that is responsible. I don't know if your hubby is aware of this.. You may need to let him understand this if you yourself understand this too..Maybe talk to him again. If he doesn t listen, talks to someone he respects and listens to.
Secondly, no child gender is BETTER than the other!! Children are a product of what you put in training them. The world has grown past that stage ooo....the prime minister of UK is a woman. US is about to have a woman as her president. I don't know if there is any man IN his right senses that would choose a 'tompolo or Asari Dokubo over an Okonjo Iweala ooo or a Kemi Adeosun ooo!!
Dangote has 3daughters only ooo...we would expect him to have a castle of sons as he even has enough to share to them all....
Thirdly, if this is your 2nd pregnancy, I think you people still have another opportunity to try for a boy(if having a boy is a do or die affair ). But you guys need to cooperate and work together to make that easier especially as he is the one to make it happen....let him know this !

Finally, if everything fails, brace up. You can do it !! Many women are raising their children alone successfully. ..
God will make a way for you....

Good day mamas. Abeg make una help me torchlight this my matter. I went for ANC today and my doc has booked me for CS on thursday ( I will be 41weeks). I am keeping an open mind but the thing is that my mum is not too strong health wise at the moment and I have a 3year old son plus my husband to tend to and I don't have any help. I don't know what to do cos I was hoping they would let labour come on its but my doctor was saying she can't take any chances. I called my mum to let her know but she said I should hold on and not report at the hospital yet cos anything can still happen ( might fall into labour) I have been taking walks, kpekused, eaten pineapple from 37wks but still no show. Please forgive my ranting and plenty talk. I am just feeling a bit discouraged. A

It is well Dear. Sorry tho that your heart desires for a VBAC may be out of reach for now...but it's no big deal .I think your Doctor has been patient a lil at least by allowing you get to 41weeks. Some doctors don't usually want to risk it. Here is my opinion. ...
when you say you don't want to go that Thursday that you will be 41weeks, when exactly do you want to go if labour doesn t come before the Thursday? Bear in mind that you can't risk staying for long again after 41weeks ooo before placenta begins to degenerate and becomes a problem to your baby o ooo....Your mum telling you to hold on for long after 41weeks , i hope she understands the implications tho...
My Dear, i think its time to face reality...make plans for assistance . Maybe a cousin from your side or DH side or close church member ...whatever . Talk to DH. You both should be involved in looking for the help. Walk in to the hospital and have your baby.....you want to avoid stories that touch ooo....

What she means is that it's from 3rd trimester, you go know say you get belle. By then all the waist pains, tiredness and all of that will set in...but not to worry. ...you may not have much of it like some of us.

Thanks jare my cappo, I've heard of that squats method before and even tried it. Had to stop when my legs were shaking Lol. About boobs, they won't remain the same o, they definitely wont go back to original sizes but won't also remain like this. Just be careful and give them good support all the time, cos when some of these babies finish with your brezz ehn

You no for stop ooo.....your initial body reaction to it is the shaky legs....just like when you cycle if you haven't done so I'm a long while, you wil feel pains at your knees and joints but once you continue, all of that will disappear. ...
Mbok, how do I give them good support O ooo cos once am home, I toss my bra very far from me ?

Kpele teamie ..When you born and you dont have tear, try do squats every day . They help to shape bum bum abit and make it look big and rounded. Me, what I would miss about this pregnancy is the big boobs am having now...I pray this remains my boobs size even when I stop breastfeeding .

Then one mama told me about "yoga dancing into Labour" I do that one. So my cervix was very ready for hard work o when I was induced.

Share the dosage of the evening primerose and red raspberry with me please. Am interested. ...

37weeks is early term....40 weeks is full term which is your EDD. So you may wait till your are 37weeks at least.

Our captain ! 38wk3days today .. I haven't gained any weight since 35 weeks but my baby's measurement have been fine . Na me dey lose weight . Hospital bag packed ! I feel this sudden energy these days don't know why . Starting my walk tomorrow . Getting ready for delivery .... Can't wait to meet my baby . I keep hugging his cloths . May we have short and painless deliberies in Jesus name .

I greet you All my Sisters and mothers. ...it's been a wonderful journey so far. It may not have been completely perfect but there have been abundant reasons to be thankful to God who has done exceedingly well to bring us this far.....of course he didn't bring us this far to abandon us but rather to see us to the end of this journey successfully. ..so we will depend on him to the VERY END!
He has done it already for some of us ...mompurity2, udoomama and ijeomaobi1 ...we celebrate with them!

We should all be in week 37, 38, 39 and some approaching week 40 already....that means any of us can have our babies at any time from now,(babies are considered term from 37weeks) so we should all be ready. ..mum and baby essentials at least for the first 1month bought already. Baby should have been head down by now to increase our chances at trying a VD. ..

We will do our best to cooperate with our Doctor's and midwives as much as possible while we continuously pray for the best team to be with us on that day! When not sure of a suggestion by a Doctor or midwife , don't hesitate to come here to weigh the suggestions so as to be better guided.
Our goal has been mother alive, baby alive and father rejoicing. ...so whatever measures need to be taken to make that possible should be fully supported(CS included) ...
Please start your walks if you haven't already done so. Increase your kpekusing too if DH is readily available too. You can also do squats to help exercise the pelvic floor muscles tho it's not so easy cos of bump heaviness and pains in the legs.
That being said. ...wishing you ALL the best and nothing but the best.

I am 38wks +4days today. . .am excited and anxious. ..it's not been easy. ..started Maternity leave on Monday as I was over tired of preparing for work every morning. House chores have become a great deal of work too ...just managing to keep up. My baby's bag has been packed. ..but mine has not yet but I will do so once I return from ANC today...I do my walks at least 45mins too in the evening ...
I am ready for labour! !! Yes I am.....I want to hold my own baby and nurture with love .

My baby's bag has been packed 100% . Am yet to pack my own bag *covers face with palms in shame*. The bag I am to use is a bit dirty. Hubby just brought it out . Want to clean it up a bit. Will have everything ready in no time.

MY BIRTH STORY.

For my mind, I say what! I neva snap pre- baby pix oooooo.. Hahaha. I went home, rearraged my hosp bag, design my face with makeup, dragged dh to d studio and had some beautiful shots. LOL. We then drove frm d studio straight to hosp for admission (that ws arnd 9:45pm).

On the 16th of June 2016 around 11: am @31 weeks 4 days. I ws delivered of two baby angels (boys) 5 mins . And we've been doin fabulously well.

Wishing my team members August mamas and everyother preggy mama an easy delivery when due .

These our mama's can be funny erh . Eat hair as how na Truth is, babies are parasites. They take whatever they need from the mother's without permission. So if you don't eat, baby takes food from the one your body stores . So if that keeps happening, it's taking a toll on the mother's health.....so try and feed well so baby will take its share and still leaves some for you too....

The kicks on your ribs are very normal oo. I had a lot of it btw 6months and 7months. ..some can be very painful .

Thirdly, I dnt knw the brand of antiseptic to go for for my baby n me, normally I use dettol, but I've seen a lot of people talk abt savlon in this forum, I will like to knw if there is anything special abt it.

Feel free to ask what any abbreviation you see here means jooor. We are open to learning. Moniker means your account name on Nairaland.For example, your own moniker is peggygee . My own is Britneystacy.You see words like kpekus here too meaning to have sex with DH....can't remember other coded words now but any you see and you don't understand, just ask. So you will flow better.

Some people prefer savlon to Dettol because they feel it's milder on LO 's skin and some clinics include it in their list too for baby. My own clinic included Dettol sha. So it depends....dettol or Savlon is ok. You may want to use that which is in your hospital list.
