Properties / Re: Accommodation Problem by bruce(m): 5:52pm On Nov 29, 2007
James, i could imagine ur plight, but don't allow ur condition push u into more difficult situation. Frankly speaking bank will not consider granting u a loan becos ur source of repayment is not guaranteed given that u just started work. even if they consider that u may not  meet their collateral request which might include a guarantee from your new employer and direct payment of your salary to the bank to enable them make their deductions b4 allowing u access to whatever might be left out. The interest rate and conditions of repayment will be to high and stringent for u to cope with.

That might lead to more liabilities and componding of ur problems. U could get a cheaper and more comfortable accommodation U can afford else where than going 4 a loan. So I will sincerely not advice U to go for a loan.

Believe and trust God for an alternative, and He will surely provide one for you.

May God be with u and make a way for you.

what amazed most was the fact that the husband was aware of her intended action and that she did not concealed it from others even to the office of the Prime Minister.

They all did not stop her, untill it happened the husband ran to put off the fire. STUPIDITY. I think the cause she is fighting by setting herself ablaze is not justified.

If that be the case, I concur and sympathise with the Engineers.

And pray that the appropriate authorities should do something about it.

More so that the development in the economy will be diversified.

Some of you so-called engineer are beginning to bite the fingers (Banks) that are feeding you. Don't make the banking industry look like an irrelevant last resort. If you guys make it look like a trash bin, then who are the trashes been deposited into into? It is as important if not more important than the engineering field. Don't make it look less important. it is the most vibrant and recruiting industry in the country and a great catalyst for economic growth and development.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Standard Chartered Bank/union Bank Ph Collecting Cv Hurry Oo by bruce(m): 9:21pm On Aug 22, 2007
of all the ones submitted 2 months ago, no one has been called for anything. So what is the point going to submit again when they have not advertised any openings.

Anyway, if you wish, give it another trial.

Good Luck.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Intercontinental Enugu Training by bruce(m): 9:13pm On Aug 22, 2007
Guys don't worry. I believe you guys are due for training this month and you all shall be there.
they have started calling PH for medicals. And from the way they sounded, as if they want you there immediately, shows that the are now ready to settle all and sundry.

A friend (Otipratt) was called yesterday and he should be in PH now. I was called this afternoon to also come for my medical letter between 2day and Friday.

From previous intension, I should have been dusting my bags to quit Access Bank's Training. However, after serious consultations from sources both in and outside IB Plc and in depth thought and evaluation of my career goals I have decided to remain in Access for now. More probably is because I have choices to make out of the two Banks. Otherwise, I wouldn't think twice going for IB.

For you guys, I say congratulations in advance and I wish you all the best in your banking career with IB Plc. My prayer is that we will all find favor where ever we find ourselves. But my candid advise is that your utmost will be required, don't fall short of that!!!

Konti, Mankevo, khris, Otipratt, akonam-one, Chibzzy, etc your contributions in the house are highly appreciated. I will miss getting to know and meet you all ( except Otipratt whom I have already known) in IB training school.

Good luck and all the best.

One Love!

Those from PH, I wonder what is still holding our invitation for medicals.

My prayer is that they hasten things up, its really over due.

Good luck 2 you all.

@khris
I know why I am asking : it is for personal analysis and not to derail anybody from focusing on going for training. I want to be there myself. And besides I was not asked if I will meet their target or not.

Pls I need a reliable information not what you think. I will appreciate it if you can provide any.

@Frickyt
It is not strictly GMAT format, there was no question lifted directly from GMAT. It comprises of only simple english and maths with a bit of current affairs. But one warning, anyone you are not certain of the answer, just leave it. Negative marking applies in their test. About 100 questions in about 60 minutes. Good Luck to you.

By His grace we shall all get there.

Thanks and One Love.

There is nothing impossible with God. Just be patience and we will all laugh last, the best laugh. Am still keen about IB Plc. How ever, I heard that every1 gets a target and if you don't meet yours you will go on suspension without pay. Pls guys how true is this?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Access Bank Test Coming Up Soon In Abuja, Ph & Lagos. Act Asap! by bruce(m): 8:29pm On Jul 30, 2007
If u are in Ph, goto their regional office @ Olu-Obasanjo, besides UBA and submit yourn CV their. Alternatively, go to their website and submit an online application: www.accessbankplc.com. Usually their test is written at Methodist primary School, Mbonu Street, D/Line, Ph. But i don't know if they have scheduled the test for that centre or when or whether they will change the venue.

However,, a friend called me to tell me he was invited for Abuja centre last saturday. you can still submit your CV in any of their branches, when inviting, they will invite you to the centre nearer to the state your CV is bearing.

2.2? Well give it a trial, nothing pass God, but I no certainly that they are very keen only for 2.1 holders.

Good luck and one love!!!!

The total number of people coming as shown by the comprehensive list from the website is amazing - 1897. My prayer is that at the end let everyone hold on to something meaningful.

My name is not on their website list, I wonder why. Though I saw it in the one posted above. And I have received countless of invitations in my box for the fair. I may be heading to Access Bank training school in Lag, so I doubt the possibility of me attending the fair. However, if I find the chance i will be there cos I really will like to be there.

@damkollins
Am observing your meaningful contributions to the house. Pls keep it up and God will bless U.

To everyone, I wish Luck.

Jobs/Vacancies / Help: IntercontinentalBank Plc Or Access Bank? Am In A Dilemma!!! by bruce(m): 4:08pm On Jul 18, 2007
My Good News and Dilemma.

I got an sms this morning from Access Bank asking me to come collect my Offer of Employment letter and proceed to the training School on Monday, 23rd. This is sequel to an interview with the MD last week grin smiley.

This morning I was reliably informed by an insider that I passed the IB Plc interview which took place last week grin smiley.

This is in addition to the PeoplePrime's Graduate Recruitment Fair I am due to attend on the 26th and 27th in Lagos.

This morning also, I got a call from home that my paternal grandma just passed on. My Dad is late and since I am the first son my presence is required cry cry.

I am a kind of confused. My dream bank is Intercontinental Bank but theres' take a lot more time. I should be expecting my offer after medicals(which will take like 3weeks to 1month) in say 2months time or more.

Access bank's training last for 4months before which you must have signed the 2years Bond - with a surety worth not less than 1million in his/her account - not to leave the bank until after that 2 years. That condition and lack of accommodation during training is really making me think twice.

People say that "a bird at hand is worth 2 in the bush"

What does the house advice me to do? I really need and will appreciate your candid suggestions and advices so I don't make a wrong move.

In everything, TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!

Thanks in anticipation and God bless.

Good for U that they reconsidered to call you. The same thing would have happened to me becos I was travelling 2 Lag for an interview with the MD of AccessBank when i noticed a missed call with a PH landline. When i called the number it turned out to be IB Plc number inviting me for the interview. If I had not called back I would have been in the same situation you found yourself. Thank God you have been invited. Be yourself and make sure you answer or at least attempt all the questions thrown at you, be confident and audible. They will come from your school days/discipline, NYSC days/activities, your CV, the Bank, and some personal questions. so be prepared. Good Luck.

Congratulations! Good to know you have been called for your medicals. I guess you will be heading for the training soonest. I pray they don't leave us behind while you guys go for training, because we had our tests on the same day. My interview went fine and i can't wait to be called for medicals.

I wish they expedite actions on ours, cos am expecting an Invitation for training from Access Bank any moment which am not so keen about. Intercontinental is my place to be.

@Luchiez
Call the numbers Konti gave and am sure you will get a response to your questions.
Good luck.
