Romance / Re: The Best Way To Win A Girls Heart by bruce(m): 6:34pm On Apr 02, 2007
Most are telling you what probably worked for them. But that may not work for you because of your person (the kind of person you are) and the personality of the girl your going for. Taste differs you. Situations and the circumstances you met might as well differ.

So Bros, just be your self to the core and take advantage of the spurs of that moments: Anything could happen and it will work for you.
Politics / Re: Buhari Is A Better Alternative To Yar'Adua by bruce(m): 6:23pm On Apr 02, 2007
We need people with the fear of God in them, educated, dynamic, seasoned and visionary administrators.
The likes of Buhari are not fit for this country anymore. Yar'Adua is going to be a surrogate president if he wins.

I hope am not getting anything wrong here. The man says "any time I inform the house of a test" and some people are already forwarding their CVs.

The man box go de jampacked b/4 anything happens.

@Fynewaka
You maybe making sense, but I believe he knows his capacity to have made such an offer. He may chose as well not to use his company's site for security reasons; like people are already flooding his box with CVs. If that were to be his company's site, don't you think it has some implications?

If then he turns out to be fake. I think it is better we leave that to God to decide what to do to him, after all these good wishes.

One love!

The spirit we need is understanding. I can see it here.

Thanks Koolman for your understanding and still stand for the truth.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Any News Yet On The Intercontinental Bank Test Written In Ph. by bruce(m): 4:41pm On Mar 28, 2007
I Learnt from a reliable source that they have finished marking. That out of about 900 that sat for the exam, only about 70 passed. This was attributed to the negative marking system of the bank. Though I have not gone to check if the names have been pasted.

I believed am among those 70.

Hope they will call for interview soon.

Good to know that the Good Samaritans of old still exist in our generation: People who on their on volition take the pain and dam the consequences just help people out of their difficult situations.

The promise of God is that: I will bless you and you will be a blessing onto others. It is one thing for God to bless you and another for you to bless others.

Sir, since you have come to this realization, and decided to fulfil your own part of that promise, your expectations in Life will never be cut short. Your joy will know no bounds and God's shower of blessings will never cease to fall in your life and generations of your descendants.

God who made you to make this declaration, will be faithful unto you to fulfil it.

Thank you and remain bless.

@ Koolman
I totally agree with you. That, if continued will only encourage the discrimination which majority are against. Most people do not have control over their chioces of University, Courses and sometimes even the grades they graduated with. These are all the effect of the things happening in our society.

These forum I believe should stand for equallity, fairness and above all brotherliness.
However, your 2nd to the last statement instigated the anger and correction from other members. Pls take note of that.

@ogs
Two wrongs can not make a right brother. You were harsh as well. By so doing, telling us you are also a product of the long years of Military rule. Simple and mild correction is enough:As I agree with Good talk, Bad presentation.

One love.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Fbn Test: The Possibility Of Negative Marking by bruce(m): 5:08pm On Mar 21, 2007
@tipsydude
Even though you tried not to sound personal, you actually did sounded.

["FAILURE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION WILL NOT ATTRACT ANY PENALTY" I stand to be corrected if that is not exactly the way it was phrased.]

This is issue based. If you have noticed anything different in the instruction, you should then understand why I said I stand to be corrected if it otherwise.

However, you have made you own contribution and it is well appreciated. I believe others have theirs too.

Some times instructions are given in such a way that if you are not careful you run the risk of falling to the trick. Especially in tests such as this where a large number of candidates are invited. any trick could be applied to cut down excesses.

The thread is to discuss this issue for posterity sake, and not for any conspiracy build up. Maybe an insider could help out.

Great minds discuss issues and ideas not people and personality.

One Love!

Aint nobody contributing? Or does it means no one took notice of what am talking about?\
Jobs/Vacancies / Fbn Test: The Possibility Of Negative Marking by bruce(m): 5:52pm On Mar 19, 2007
Going by one of the instructions given in FBN Test what does the House think on the possibility of Negative marking? One of the instructions points to negative marking if critically analyzed. That Particular instruction read as follows:

"FAILURE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION WILL NOT ATTRACT ANY PENALTY"  I stand to be corrected if that is not exactly the way it was phrased.

In my own opinion, I think there is negative marking. Ordinarily, you don't get penalized for not answering a question, but you only lose the mark you would have scored if answered correctly. Therefore, I think what they are simply saying is: "YOU SHOULD NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTION YOU ARE NOT SURE OF. IF YOU DO AND ANSWER WRONGLY YOU WILL BE PENALIZED. BUT IF YOU LEAVE IT UNANSWERED YOU WILL NOT BE PENALIZED"  Of course the penalty there-to is to count it against you.

Moreover, the way the invigilators were emphasizing on reading and understanding the instructions suggests something fishy about it.  What does the House think about this?

Please note that this thread is meant only to elicit peoples opinion on this issue, at least for the sake of posterity, and not to dash or dispair the hopes of those who wrote the exam, especially those that guess-ticked,  maybe including myself  cry cry

Also note that if you are sure of yourself, whether you guess-tick or not, success is yours!!! Believe it and it shall be so.

Just think about it and make your contributions.

One LOve!!! kiss
Jobs/Vacancies / Urgent! Inter'tal Bank Test Format. by bruce(m): 2:20pm On Mar 16, 2007
Hi House,
anyone with info on IntercontinentalBank test format should kindly help out.

There is going to be an Intercontinental Bank test in PH, tomorrow Saturday @ Airforce Sec. Sch., Ph. I believe attendance is strictly base on the invitation letter sent.
Time is 9am and the requirements include:
Your writing materials, Calculator, NYSC Original Cert., 2 recent Passport Photograph(45mm by 35mm), ID Card or International Passport, and the invitation letter sent to you.

Gatecrashers could give it a trial, but I doubt if that will be allowed. They have learned there lessons from the last test they conducted last year.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: First Bank : What A Fraud by bruce(m): 4:21pm On Mar 09, 2007
THERE IS NO POINT BEING NEGATIVE ABOUT IT COS WE ALL SHOULD NO THE SITUATION OF THINGS IN THIS COUNTRY.

HOWEVER, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT EVERYONE WHO APPLIED MUST RECEIVE AN INVITATION. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY WANT AND THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THEY CAN HANDLE - NO NEED INVITING THE WHOLE COUNTRY AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FARCE. TO WHOSE DISCREDIT WILL THAT BE? SOME OF US WILL STILL BE THE ONES THAT WILL DISCREDIT THEM IF IT HAPPENS. SO BE OPTIMISTIC, GOD HAS A BETTER PLAN FOR US.

THOSE THAT WERE INVITED SHOULD TELL US THE DATE AND VENUES. BY SO DOING, WE CAN TELL WHETHER IT IS IN BATCHES OR NOT.
SUCCESS TO THOSE INVITED. ONE LOVE!
