That is appreciative, but you can as well tell us how you are about making your first million ( I mean what you do or what you are into) so maybe we can follow suit.

We need such kind of information to act upon.

Thanks and remain bless.

@gbemiel

Thanks a great deal, you seems to be the only one who has offered some advise to my plight.
Though I have tried calling the number provide even b4 the end of April to no avail, I eventually got to send them a text which I am certain they got but didn't reply. I managed to get through the number yesterday and spoke with a lady who says they can't guarantee me any thing. That if I get a reply for reschedule, fine but if not, that means I will have to go to Abuja. Which honestly I can't make it to. Am not financially buoyant to travel to and fro Abuja now.

Nevertheless, I will still try the number you provided, maybe I will get to talk to someone else that might understand with me. I believe God will make a way.

Even if I don't get their reply I will still attend that of PH, anything can happen. Please kindly send me your venue and time. I will go with my initial invitation.

Thanks and One Love!

@Alert

Was your own problem solved or it is not the same with mine?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: PrimePeople invitees by bruce(m): 5:02pm On May 07, 2007
@ GR Fair

Thank you for coming on board to give us more orientation on what the package is all about. I have a problem, I wish you could help me solve.

I applied for the fair when I was in Jos, so I was scheduled for the discussion and test on the 16th of this Month in Abuja, which is nearer to Jos.
Presently, I have relocated from Jos to Port-Harcourt before I received the invitation. Which means increased distance and expenses for me if I should travel from PH to Abuja.

To that effect, I sent a message to the number provided asking to be rescheduled to PH since you have a center in PH and for proximity sake, but yet to get a response. Please what do I do, since my appointed date is next week Wednesday and time is no longer on my side?
I need your advise on what to do.

I will highly appreciate your timely response on this.

Thank You.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Gtb Recruiting 4 Entry Level & Experience! by bruce(m): 2:39pm On May 02, 2007
I doubt if a 1982 baby is too young. I should say those are the groups that are needed. Take note that the format for age submission is not the same with all online forms. There may be categories like:

mm/dd/yyyy = meaning month, day, then year.
dd/mm/yyyy = meaning day, month, and year.
yyyy/dd/mm = year, day, and month.
yyyy/mm/dd = year, month, and day.

So take you time and fill the category as required. Failure to will prompt messages like you are too young or too old.

Good luck and One Love!

If you are doing nothing, tell them you don't mind starting right away. That shows how serious you are. That is my opinion anyway.

As for required age, honestly I wouldn't know cause it was not stated. But I think it should be between 23- 26 or 27. I said I think, it is not authentic.

As for the training schools of First bank, I know for sure that they have training schools in Jos, enugu, and Lagos. There is no doubt that they might have in Abuja and maybe one or two in the extreme North.

Good Luck to those waiting for the outcome of the interview.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: One Mr.akin Of Fedex (ikoyi Lagos) Intercepted My Lng Letter by bruce(m): 2:18pm On Apr 16, 2007
This very painfulI must say. A lot wished they were invited for the 2nd test like myself. Only for some1 to miss the test because of another's negligence and inefficiency. How did they then deliver the first letter to U, was it not the same address? I will advice also to:

Lay your complain to LNG.

Seek for legal advice and if possible sue that man and Fadex to court for incompetency if you can. Such things happen in this country and people get away with it.

I pray that God will make a better way for you.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Inter'tal Bank Interview by bruce(m): 2:07pm On Apr 16, 2007
I wrote mine in PH which I believe was also written the same day ( 17th March) with that of Enugu if I am not mistaken. Yes, the results (particularly that of PH) has not been released but I learnt they have finished marking and that the succesful ones were forewarded to their HQ in Lagos for certification. That is yet to be done. I guess when they are through, they will start inviting.

I did not see my result but I believed I passed and expecting to be invited for the interview. So I implore you all to have the same belief and faith and God will see us through.

I don't know if I have responded well to your questions?

Meanwhile, anyone with clue on their interview pattern should kindly help out.

Thanks and One Love!!!

Education / Re: "My Names Are" Or "My Name Is"? by bruce(m): 7:24pm On Apr 10, 2007
You guys (Budx, Kofianan & Co) are beginning to take a general issue that does not particularly concern anyone personal. We are all here to learn and help one another. Just go ahead and make you earnest contribution and stop attacking one another. It is not healthy for this Forum.

Everybody seems to be right on this issue, most claim they are linguist, grammarian, etc and yet they are not giving us, novice, substantiative explanation in order to understand the reasons behind those Clauses and their acceptability or not.

I totally agree with the points made by Budx: like I said earlier, they are both Grammatically correct depending on the names supplied and possibly how the question came. However, the conventional and generally acceptable one is "My name is". But that does not mean " My names are" is grammatically incorrect. We should also know that English Language and its usuage is dynamic. New things come on board and old ones are discarded.Popularity of the word or clause sometimes count, even if they may not be formal. That is why you have so many slangs in the Dictionary because of their popularity and usuage in a particular settings. Even Dictionaries are been edited after some years. Grammars and words contained in the 1st and 2nd Editions of Advance Learners' Dictionary (which is commonly used) are not the same with those in the latest Edition. Who knows, this argument might reflect in the next Edition. wink That is why we must argue intellectually and stop attacking one another.

For simplicity, just use the one everyone knows: "My name is". Or, answer as the question comes to you, See Tipsydude.
Except if you want to go there and argue with your interviewers on which is correct grin.

@Toyin,
Thanks for this great opportunity. Since you said the person must be a graduate of Accounting, is there any room for Business Admin graduate? I reside in PH.

thanks once more!
Education / Re: "My Names Are" Or "My Name Is"? by bruce(m): 7:02pm On Apr 06, 2007
Both could be correct depending on the names supplied:
If you include other names apart from your first name and surname only then "my names are" is correst. E.g My names are Stephen(Firstname) John Bulus Orga(surname). On the other hand, "my name is" is correct.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Contract Job With Oil Coy Vs Bank Job by bruce(m): 6:03pm On Apr 06, 2007
You really have got to many irons in the fire! If I were you make a pro-and-con analysis of each of the options you have.
You need to ask your self some questions which will enable you take the suitable option:

What importance is attached to this your programme and how will it benefit you better when you complete?

How long is the contract job going to last and is it worth forgoing you programme and all that you have invested in it? At the end of the contract will you be better placed at finding another job or becomming a permanent staff?

The programme you are running, what stage are you and can you forgo it and all you have invested in it?

How confident are you to pass the bank interview and how sure are you to be posted there in Lagos if you get the job?

I believe with clear and honest answers to these questions, your coast is clear to making the suitable decision. The major problem is the program you are running. However, the decision is solely yours to make. Think deep and go to God in prayers for direction as this is a critical one.

Advice: Sometimes, not always to me, A BIRD IN HAND IS WORTH TWO IN THE BUSH. That is, given the importance of the program and the possibility of shuttling Lagos-PH for the program.

Be Wise Friend!!! and Good Luck!!!

People that are suited for this job are people that suits my criteria and others that will defend the integrity of this nation, pour out their heart to the plight of the poor masses, and that will bring about socio-economic changes.
