GavelSlam:I believe this is the summary of it all. Nothing more to add. |
diegwu01:Correct. It is clear that this is a health campaign. Was expecting to see something really disgraceful but this is not just any billboard. |
With all the news about sham marriages, it's hard to believe that this oyinbo doesn't know wassup. |

origima:You got it. Timi stated that he had been waiting to face Freeze like a child waiting for a new toy. Who does that? Really? That personal jab by Timi was premeditated. And the digression to tithes and offering was needless since the topic at hand is DIVORCE. Timi clearly cannot take criticism even though he likes to dish it out. |
Lol. Timi could not even mask his contempt for Daddy freeze. He even openly revealed that he had been waiting for a moment to antagonise like a child waiting for a toy? Wow. This contempt is intense! Freeze only pointed out the loopholes in Timi's blanket statement but my guy don vex carry another unrelated matter enter argument. We are talking about divorce here and not tithe. Anyway, if you have been stewing in one corner hoping for freeze to cross your path, well, it would be obvious in your outburst. You can't hide strong emotions. Now, on to Timi's previous absolute statement. There are some people who (because of their unfortunate circumstances in marriage) would view Timi's sharp admonition against divorce, as demon-inspired. He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. You should refrain from issuing generalisations especially when the going is smooth for you. It is a little shy of gloating. It is amusing that all of a sudden, Timi, whose marriage is still young, is dishing blame to divorcees. Mr man, your wife is the reason you can talk like this. If she were a pretender who only showed you her true colour after marriage, my guy, you go humble. If your wife one day, decided that she could no longer put up with a recurrent flaw of yours and filed for divorce, should we then say you were immature, impatient and incomplete when you got married? There are brilliant business minds, great administrators, successful leaders who somehow failed early in marriage. Should we label them incomplete and immature human beings and forget their proven interpersonal skills in business (a field where loyalties unlike in marriage, can switch easily)? Let us refrain from making general statements on sensitive issues. Who plans to get married only to be divorced? Be thankful if your marriage is pleasant. |
Mr Philosophia. What a name! What will pain me is if you go and beg this girl not to leave you. If you try it, I might "swear" for you. ![]() Yeah, yeah, yeah, she is selfish and wants to dump you, etc. Mr man, let her go. This is one painful situation many guys have endured. The earlier you forget her, the better. Move on. In fact don't just move on, move AHEAD. You are not the first man to face this situation and you won't be the last. Many powerful men have had difficulty persuading women to marry them. One of such was Prime minister Churchill. Just plunge yourself into productive stuff.

This is reaching. How can the tobacco corporations be liable for this? They didn’t ask the petty traders to display their cigarettes along with biscuits and sweets. I think what we need is simply sensitisation of petty traders to refuse to sell tobacco products to minors. I remember as a kid, I was at a kiosk to buy stuff and a child came to buy St Morris (or or is it moritz) from the same mallam. I assumed he was sent by his father cos that boy was only about 5 years old. Now that I think of it, nothing says the child couldn't have gone to smoke secretly. Many of us were fascinated by the smell of tobacco as kids and we wanted to experiment. One could just go and buy from the mallam without question. It shouldn't be so. The big corporations are not the ones retailing their products to minors. |
EternalTruths:You are spot on. The lawmaker did not address the reason why our export was rejected. No reasonable government allows substandard products into its own markets. We need to step up our game for our own health and for financial gain. |
Krystaal:You are not serious ![]() |
The interrobang (?!) is used to ask questions in an excited or angry manner. Also, it is commonly used in rhetorical questions. E.g "What the fùck?!" However, for statements (not questions) with extra excitement or alarm, use multiple exclamation marks (!! or !!!). No offence intended. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope he will learn from you before it is too late to leave with his sanity intact. ashjay001: |
This is why I am careful around spiritual and religious ladies. They can pretend for Africa. Mr man, I am happy you are alive. At least you can type this sad story here. Some men became popular on Nairaland after their wives or girlfriends stabbed them to death. I don't blame you for hitting her. She assaulted you repeatedly like a man so she shouldn't be surprised by the slaps. There are some situations where walking away is death. You must subdue and discard such maniacs. Let her family come and carry their daughter or better still, go and dump her in her father's house. This girl is not ready to be a wife. Beware of church ladies. Many of them are green snakes under the grass. They are just waiting to ensnare an unfortunate guy. Chai! Woman shoe? For my head? It's straight to her father's house for good. No looking back. |
Justiceleague1:You dey fear to quote me ni? Don't you want your followers to see how fragile your sanity is? ![]() |
Justiceleague1: smiling at your family who received well deserved lashes. Your brain don knock finish. ![]() |
SHAKABOOM:Not surprised. You really haven't recovered from the gallons of pototpoto in your stomach. Common criminal.
|
Justiceleague1:Look at this villager that hitched a ride to Lagos with one poly bag. Mowe is probably the biggest town you know. No need to waste words on a flat head. Perhaps you need another round of lashes.
|
Cuddlebugie:Well said. |
SHAKABOOM:Is that all your criminal mind can compose? Have you pushed your usual drugs today? E be like say potopoto dey hungry dis Igbo.
|
SHAKABOOM:Yorubas are not Igbos who give heroic burials to drug dealers executed in Indonesia. Crime is your creed and your export in biafra. Well, you can keep that to yourselves. Thank you. ![]() |
Basic123: ![]() You want to wound these igbos. They can't stop licking hausa/fulani asses hoping to spite noble yorubas. They prefer to give atiku the ticket rather than one of their own sons come 2019. Just the same way they refused to vote for their Ikemba when he contested twice. They remain the butt of jokes in Nigerian politics because of their intense hatred for others. Awon oloripelebe ![]() |
SalamRushdie:Did your brother build it or not? If not then keep your hatred to yourself. |
Goodwill wasted on these people who hate other tribes for no reason. As expected, one of them: SalamRushdie:How can you satisfy people who are driven by hatred and bigotry? Fashola included their region in the proposed rail project but their own senators wanted to remove the project from the budget. No wonder they supported a man like Kanu. Self-distruct tendencies appeal to them as long as their perceived enemies are adversely affected. |
Biafran president |
Can't blame him. He is upset that Kanu abandoned him like Ojukwu |
. . . So he abandoned them and fled. Just like Ojukwu |
One of the best threads to hit front page in a long time. Useful information. |
Don't waste your time on ipob terrorists and their sympathizers. Anyone who can be swayed by nnamdi kanu will believe any brainless lie. Imagine adults in this present age acting like cavemen. Igbos sha. ![]() |
Acidosis:You made a good point there. It is callous. Also, people should underatand that it is clearly armed robbery regardless of the amount or items stolen. The penalty is not dependent on the worth of goods stolen. Sad but a robber is a robber. |
Biafran lawyer. Not surprised. You guys are so insensitive that you can joke with anything. No respect, no home training. |
How the hell do you know his financial.capability? Did he reveal his earnings to you? Do you even know whether he sends money to support his family? Look, he doesn't "owe" you any financial support. If you were not dating anyone wouldn't you still take care of your basic needs? A boyfriend is not your atm. This sense of entitlement is really nauseating. The only thing I see wrong is the fact that he exhausts your airtime knowing that you don't have a job. Maybe he doesn't want a broke girlfriend. A grown woman who cannot fend for herself is not an asset to any sensible man. I have always dated ladies who are financially independent. They often accepted and appreciated my gifts without asking me or feeling entitled. A sensible man is often attracted to a woman who can take care of herself. |
okerekeikpo: ![]() Thought Rivers was Biafra land abi una dey fear ni?
