DarkJeddi: You sound like a typical Nigerian Parent, blame everyone else but your child for their actions.. I wish you were right. But Nigerians hardly ever blame the parents for their child's actions. That's why we beat the hell out of the child instead of the parent. |

crackkhaus: And in those same countries, the same 16yr olds that are old enough to make a decision to have sex, are for some reason not old enough to make decisions to take alcohol.
Now there's an irony worthy of a Golden Globe. Most countries that limit sexual responsibility to 16 also limit alcohol purchasing to 16. Some, USA for instance, even have a higher age restriction on alcohol than sex.

Christianity Etc › Re: Nobody Needs Jesus Or Religion to be Righteous by budaatum: 3:40pm On Jan 25, 2020 |
frosbel2: On the contrary, even irreligious kids know right from wrong irrespective of what their parents teach them. Kids of drug addicts, criminals etc , go on to choose alternative more upright behaviour , despite the wrong things they learnt from their parents and despite growing up in a toxic envinroment .
Before the introduction of these foreign religions, we knew right from wrong and were in fact more morally upright that 99% of religious people living today. Furthermore, from personal experience as a kid, there were many things I never learnt from my parents but knew were wrong and avoided them .
Man and Woman are born with the ability to decipher right from wrong and vice versa - fact ! As I said, we are taught the basics of right and wrong by our parents, environmental, experience etc. Some parents may use their religion to teach it. And some of us learn by not following the (wrong) teachings and examples of our parents. The fact that you don't know where you learnt it, probably because you were too young, does not negate this fact. I can assure you that if you were born in a jungle amongst animals you'd either kill or die. P.s. I think your focus, as usual, is against foreign religions. Note I mentioned Sango and Ogun, which are religions that are not foreign, and through which morals were taught. In Yorubaland we religiously wrote those morals on our faces as you can see on mine which says "be an ọmọluabi”. It is so I do not ever forget.

crackkhaus: Personally, I don't think there's a difference between the decision-making abilities of a 17yr old in comparison to a 14yr old...especially when it involves boys. Its an opinion, which many obviously do not share, especially going by laws in many countries that deem under 16s can't legally consent to sex. |

frosbel2: Everyone who is born is given a clean slate to make the right or wrong choices , we have this ability to decipher between bad and good built into us. No we do not have any such ability! Quite a lot is invested in teaching this ability into our clean state (by 'clean', you mean, 'blank', I hope), starting with our parents who spend a lot of love and effort teaching and building right and wrong into us. |

Please note that I agree that Jesus Or Religion does not make one morally righteous. The evidence alone agrees with this. But many do need to be religiously taught (repeatedly and continously) to know what morals are, be it the moral code of Ogun, Sango, Jesus or Allah. Righteousness, however, is in the beholder god's eye, unless you mean 'righteousness by self-certification'. You might understand what I mean if I claim to be righteous. Many will likely shoot me down. P.s. Where have you been? Your absences lower the grade of discourse! |

frosbel2: In retrospect , as an addition , i.e morals inbuilt into our DNA as the basics of right and wrong and parental/environmental/experience factors. Your "inbuilt into our DNA" is you not being completely honest, unless you mean 'built by being taught the basics of right and wrong by parental/environmental/experience factors'. DNA has absolutely nothing to do with one's morals. Everyone you inherit DNA from can be immoral and you can still turn out a saint. |

frosbel2: Morals are built into us as human beings, we know right from wrong because it is programmed into our DNA. No they are not! Morals do not have to be from religion, but it definitely is not "built into us as human beings" nor "programmed into our DNA"! You learn morals from somewhere, be it parents, environment, social engagements, experience, etc. If morals are built into your DNA, then some Builder must have built it there. |

crackkhaus: You don't know what you don't know. Collins4u1: Did she say the niece did? You're totally wrong. I don't think its remiss of me to think her 14 year old daughter did not lead the 17 year old niece to "a hotel with boys smoking, drinking and having sex", but of course I don't know and may be wrong since I was not there with them. Queenellahrose: he explained to me that my daughter and niece and other girls were caught at a hotel with boys smoking , drinking and having sex They may both have been led there by the "other girls", and perhaps I wrongly expect the older 17 year old niece to be more responsible. |

whirlwind7: We'd really cry?
Seem like you're part of govt that benefits from crude oil sales, and not the masses. Your "we" in this case, I'm sure, isn't referring to the poor folks in the country that successive govt had taken turns to anally rape. Majority (including me) don't care if oil plummets to $1 per barrel. Actually, I pray for that scenario. Many Nigerians do already cry (wailers, I call them, and lazy fuqs), at $60 a barrel. They fail to accept that the hardship under bubu is due to the drop sub $100 in 2014. At $1, Nigeria will be at war, and I doubt even you wouldn't be affected by that. It sure will affect the poor masses more than those who directly benefit from crude oil sales.

As you are incapable of a debate I suggest you continue playing with your toys in the sandpit. I really wish people did read some of it like you do because they'd be obeying "don't steal" and "don't murder", which I'm certain you are aware many don't obey. Have you not noticed that many have already pointed out your errors and misunderstanding? Why would I waste my time repeating what you ignore? |

Viktoreze: It is said that the history of the alphabet began in ancient Egypt. Many don't know this, but this is what is meant where it says "Out of Egypt I called my Son", and "In the beginning was the Word through which all things were created". And when it is said "Accept Jesus into your life", we simply mean "Go and learn to read"! |
