Its about personal responsibility. You pay for the life you want. In Utopia maybe, where maga hasn't tied me to the stove shooting babies out every 9 months. Not every person is personally responsible for their pregnancy, but that's besides the point. Some need the help of society. You wouldn't after all expect a child to pay for the life it wants. I hope. And society should help them anyway, because if you don't help them they'll not just go away but will rob you to fentanyl. |

Ibime: Alternative (and more accurate) description of the events in Al Shifa hospital
Terrorists who indiscriminately murdered 1,400 Israelis are holed up in, and under Al Shifa hospital
Israel could drop a bunker busting bomb and eliminate all of those terrorists but that would kill all the patients and the civilians sheltered there. To save the patients, Israel sacrifices dozens of it's mens lives in hand-to-hand urban hospital corridor combat just to save as many patients as possible.
These are some of the ways Israel goes out of its way to reduce civilian casualties. Hamas or Iran would have dropped a bunker busting bomb on the hospital and take the patients as collateral damage
I know some emotional people will cry at this post but simple logic dictates a Hospital is not an armed entity that can fight off an army for 2 weeks and the onus is on combatants not to go and turn a Hospital into a trench from which to fight an enemy I will not emotionally cry at this your emotional post, Ibime. What I would wonder is what stupid Terrorists who indiscriminately murdered 1,400 Israelis will hole up in and under Al Shifa hospital. Are they stupid or what, or am I being gullibly asked to believe basilico's they are mindless blood thirsty jihadist Arabs? I reserve my emotional cry for the Palestinians who did not kill 1400 Israelis who are being bombed in the hospital they run to after being bombed out there homes. |
Politics › Re: Britain Ended Slavery by budaatum: 2:20pm On Jun 21, 2025 |
StaffofOrayan: After slavery, we had been peppered up enough for colonialism, we practically threw the damn doors open! 3 centuries of strife and mutual suspicion fuks with your head, so we welcomed our saviours from Arabian deserts and the great West! all we had to do was trade in our brains for theirs and bow to their conquering gods. And now, we japa, lol. But seriously, we did not invite them. Most of us Nigerians come across Arabians and its inhabitants, when we (are brainwashed) read about Ishmaelites, and Midianites, and Amalekites, Buzites, Dedanites, Hagrites, Kadmonites, Kedarites, Kenites, Meunim, Naamathites, Sabeans, and Shuhites in an eurocentric holy book. And the Arabs read it too, and wrote theirs, the smart buggers. Arabs and Europeans had been engaging for a long time. Africa was just land they fought their war on, I'd say. We did not invite them. They came to exploit the (human) resources we were not exploiting, and still aren't. StaffofOrayan: Of course, the British deserves a slight nod for not leaving us while weak to be totally devoured by the conquering jihad. They came with a book. Built schools to teach us to read that we should ask and knock and seek, while the jihad is creating alimanjeris in our North. Nod Britain. StaffofOrayan: Luggard in his book gloated about Britain ruling Nigeria through the Fulani! And every 4 years we fight so hard to install one, because dummmmies don't read! They just want to be herded into the sea! Tinubu is not Fulani, give us credit please. Luggard understood the Fulani were better educatedly aware with their Allah book than we southerners who were still worshipping spirits in the river and forest and Ogun and Sopona and Amadioha, so yes, he'd think Fulani should rule Nigeria. They after all had that same ideology of keeping some as slaves in gardens that seem so Edenic the slaves would not want to be free, while we down south were free as birds, literally. Besides, he'd experienced successful Islamic rule in India. Luggard however failed to realise the impact of Wilberforce on missionaries to Nigeria, I guess, for whom the beginning of being free is learning to read. StaffofOrayan: The first indication that we have any life left as a people is to ask...what the heck is Nigeria and who exactly was it made to benefit, but that is damn hard work, easier to just lie and pray to the conquering god. This is easy. Nigeria is my country. It must benefit me. And yes, it is damn hard work.

raumdeuter: You said the Palestinians don't want this but why do they have it? When Israel left Gaza in 2005, they left a fully functional society for them. You are being selective by halves. Heres a contrary. In 2005, Israel disengaged from the Gaza Strip by dismantling all 21 Israeli settlements there.[1] As part of this process, four Israeli settlements in the West Bank were dismantled as well. The disengagement was executed unilaterally: Israeli authorities did not coordinate with the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to facilitate an orderly transfer of administrative power following the withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from the Gaza Strip.[2] Since then, the United Nations, many other international humanitarian and legal organizations, and most academic commentators have continued to regard the Gaza Strip as being under Israeli occupation due to Israel's active control over the territory's external affairs, as affirmed by the 2024 International Court of Justice advisory opinion.[3] Historically, according to Article 42 of the Hague Regulations and precedent in international law, it has been generally understood that a territory remains effectively occupied so long as a belligerent's authority is established and exercised over it, even if said belligerent does not have ground forces deployed in the area.
The year following the disengagement saw a tightening of external Israeli control over Gaza, specifically, the closure of crossings into Gaza for people and goods, increased restrictions on the coastline for fishing, and increased aerial, maritime and on the ground military activity. The Israeli human rights organization Gisha lists various examples of actions requiring Israeli permission or approval in the year following the disengagement. These restrictions include the need for Israeli permission to import basic necessities such as milk, to host foreign lecturers at universities, and register children in the Palestinian population registry. Additionally, fishermen must obtain permission to fish....

brain54: In my mind what we need is a new breed of politicians... one might say this comes with a younger generation of people but not necessarily! I wonder if I can borrow brain. By "breed of politicians", do you mean, a group of people who have joined together to follow and lead, for want of rephrasing? It would involve organising groups, which even my supposed youthful Obi is failing at for now, dare I say. What a formidable force a youthful breed of politicians would be if organised to work together instead of all of us wanting to lead. |

I'm just sad to find your thread was to promote one particular individual, who's only supposed redeemings are, "young and sound". swagifted: Why don't you also go back to school to study and have a high skill that is in the demand so that you will never have to clean toilets for the imperialists Read how many times I mentioned what some might construe as "go back to school" in the below. budaatum: Pay is usually tips only, they tell me, but the advantage is its night work so they can go do early morning cleaning and be at university for 9, where they are learning to better their life. budaatum: But who in their right mind travels abroad and intends to survive on toilet cleaning? Most japas do it for the first few weeks or months on arrival and until they find something better, while they school on improving themselves so they can dump toilet cleaning and get much better jobs as I already informed SoliBayNG. budaatum: The cause of the race is not for living, least not where I live, and anyone who thinks it is is bound to fail, I'd think. Here we want your brain to help develop our nation so we can stand up to the likes of Trump and EU and Japan, and would therefore hope you will realise that the cause of the race is for you to learn so you help us rule the waves and you will live better in the long run. Okay, not you exactly, but your children whom you will send to our schools and whom we will educate properly to earn their daily bread and increase our gdp by using their brains. budaatum: Clean toilet in UK can be early morning. You start off at 4am to get the last night bus to go clean toilets 5am to 8am, then you go off to college or uni.
Uni finishes 3pm, you get some sleep, wake up by 6 to go clean Or is it that you think I'm preaching what I haven't done? "Clean toilet", does not just literally mean toilet cleaning. It includes any job one does while one is grafting to improve oneself, and may be McDonalds, security, silver service, social care, street cleaning, and of course, toilets. |

raumdeuter: How does the land belong to Palestinians? Both Israel and Gaza have a historical claim to the same land So where should Israelis live or go after they were murdered in lands the migrated to Historical claim, my ass. What they have is a biblical claim, and that's as good as a CofO from Oluwọle, as far as I am concerned. https://www.nairaland.com/8454839/israel-1948-same-israel-bible#135810406Where the "Israelis live after they were murdered in lands they migrated to" is not a reason to go murder people off land they've lived on for centuries. It is similar to Native Americans deporting migrants so they get their land back, except they just don't have the might. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Is The Israel Of 1948 The Same Israel In The Bible? by budaatum: 4:06pm On Jun 19, 2025 |
They seem pretty much the same to me, though current Israel is buying migrants from everywhere to increase their numbers, which the old Israel would not pollute their bloodline with. They both drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before them and dispossess the inhabitants of the land. 50 And the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
Numbers 33:50-55 King James Version Makes me think of an omo onilẹ asking for land rent on a house built on land his great great grandfather sold before his father was born. The last verse does sound like a motivator for much of Israel's current actions. |
