You should suggest a tax on breathing. Every Nigerian must have a meter connected to our mouth and nose, and an app should measure how much air we intake so a tax bill can be sent out to us. Also, introduce a pîss and shît bill to tax us for pîssing and shîtting. And consider a fuq bill too. Again, meters and app to measure and bill. All these will increase internally generated revenue, and therefore increase GDP. Nigeria go better! |
A growing group of Muslim voters in Georgia say they will not back either Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump in next month's election because of both candidates' support of Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/georgias-muslim-voters-opposing-harris-trump-election-over-both-candidates-support-israel |
noskcid:Of, for, Nairaland is neither, for the reasons stated. |
Nairaland is not a den of scammers. We here are far too smart to let scammers form dens amongst us. Scammers do come here and try scamming, but they are often quickly rooted out and leave because Nairaland is not profitable for them. On that note, I would commend the moderators and all the dedicated members for their tenacity and diligence in keeping Nairaland safe. You all will reap a thousand fold what you have tended here. And would someone please rub seun's head for me for creating Nairaland in the first place. |
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Except, in reality, it actually gets worse if it is not getting better. |
I can't wait for someone to come and reveal here that Tinubu owns the loan apps. It would make sense to me. |
Anyone not preparing for tax on fuel the image depicts is not awake yet and should wake up quick and start preparing for tax on breathing and pooing too, because its coming very soon. |
abba190:Its like the bitter way Tinubu is teaching Nigerians to learn. And we hopefully would learn, or our suffering has not yet begun. https://www.nairaland.com/8235392/nigeria-misgoverned#132360076 |
Looks like you learnt your lesson, and hopefully, others would too. |
Winks2:You don't own Nairaland, dude. And you don't need to understand my write-up. Honestly. |
You say to him when you see him tomorrow, "dude, you really knacked that wife of your's real good yesterday. You knacked her so well that all the neighbours had to listen to you knack her". If he has any dignity, and regard for his wife, he might turn the volume down. If that don't work, record his noise and play it whenever he walks past. |

93 million Nigerians were registered to vote at the last election and only 9 million elected our president. 20 million in total voted while the rest sat on their asses at home. The result of that blatant irresponsibility is people crying that they have only ₦50 in their pocket and their children are hungry. And my only hope is they live long enough to vote another day. Because that is how you will vote out "wicked, insensitive, callous and evil minded" governments and elect those who will make our country better. Sorry op. I have no sympathy for you. And I almost want to hate you for starving your only daughter, except that I can't put the blame of 70 million Nigerians, who did not bother to vote, entirely upon you. Someone with more sympathy than me please help feed this person's daughter. Though I can't help but wonder why he bought and has data instead! Winks2:

Basilico hear the judge in his own voice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXqkOM5Vbbw?si=1aMRZBVlijss_ojp |
bemeruca:You call it cruise. I call it you showing you are an i.s.i. And golly if you aren't very successful at it. |
basilico:Everything about you is wrong! Nothing about you whatsoever is right! And you prove that by being the nuisance that you are. Just that you haven't got the ability to reflect and see yourself. Judge Barrett might as well be talking about you when he said: “At bottom, this case was about your corrupt conduct and how no one is above the law,” he admonished Peters. “Our system of government can’t function when people in government think that somehow, some way, the power they’ve been given is absolute in all respects. And that’s where you fell. You have no respect for the checks and balances of government. You have no respect for this court. You have no respect for law enforcement.” You have no respect for anyone here and even much less respect for yourself! |
bemeruca:Yes, I know you come here looking for everyone's time and attention. But if you can't follow my Lord wherever he goes, perhaps you should stop obviating your dumbness by claiming a question is a statement. |
IjeBos:I meant £2. But they do that. Give different subs to different folks, and is why I cancelled my Wapo sub. They offering £1 a week for a year to get me back, and £4 a week thereafter. But when I click resub it is £6 a week thereafter, and is why I use my library app to read their stuff for free. But I think this is a currency difference. NYT is £2 for me for 6 months, and £12 a month thereafter. |
LordReed:And when his error finally sinks in, he runs off for a while and returns with an unrelated topic until he puts his foot in his mouth again. budaatum:But don't bother answering now, bemeruca. Your right to my time has expired. And I can't be dealing with a person who can't differentiate a question from a statement. |
IjeBos:Why would you assume he paid $2 a month to read what he wouldn't understand? basilico:Basilico, show me your uproar when James Comey made an announcement on Clinton email probe 2 weeks before election. I still believe if not for that she'd have beaten dump. |
basilico:And Judge Barrett, before sentencing, told her: “You are no hero. You abused your position, and you’re a charlatan who used and is still using, your prior position in office to peddle a snake oil that’s been proven to be junk time and time again.” And I'm not going to bother trying to convince you why I'd rather take Judge Barrett's word over the word of stupid lying nuisance you whom I would willingly pay to abort. |
I've always wondered why coffee is not grown in Nigeria. Or should I say I never found it growing You got any idea? Coffee was introduced to Nigeria in the late 19th century, and the country began exporting it soon after. The Nigerian government promoted coffee cultivation in the 1930s, and production peaked in the late 1960s, mid-1980s, and again in 2006. |
I found one thrown out in liberal UK too. A gay rights activist has lost a seven-year discrimination dispute over a cake order as the European Court of Human Rights ruled his case inadmissible. |
Colorado Supreme Court dismisses suit against baker who refused to bake cake for transgender womanShould she be forced to bake a cake she don't want to bake? I think not, in this case. But I shouldn't be able to refuse to bake a cake because of another person's race. So, what about baking a cake with Allah Akbar on it? |
I'm definitely voting my girl now like 100 times in 50 different states, and I'm not caring that's illegal! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4osPoXAVgv0?si=TyYyXQahg-ROPh8I Vice President Kamala Harris Loves F1 |
Asianplug:Show panoramas please. That view you were looking at from the train will inform more as I've never been to Asia. |
Asianplug:You do sound biased! You showed Indian train, and to be sincere, that long one with open doors reminded me of molue in Lagos, but what you failed to show is how efficiently they run or don't, and how many people they move a day, and you disregarded how clean the stations are, and we just about noticed the fan above your head that made it seem you were waiting in the first class section of the station though I bet you weren't. Basically, I am accusing you of not sufficiently educating me about the railway system in India, and you haven't posted anything about railway in Nigeria so I can compare. I'm not going to hold it against you though, because its not like you had a huge production budget, and I know you will one day grow this into something to be admired. Personally, and as far as railways go, Nigeria hasn't yet begun to get where India currently is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcA0ksFF4Ck?si=1nvAD9ZthiWAp8nr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMulctiLY60?si=Cbtidgb0q8YyGPLf |
basilico:I don't think you can ever hear me. Regardless, I'm not done with you yet. I don't care that you lie about dump or anything else so much, but it does rankle me that you'd be here tarnishing people with your lies. I mean, where's your dignity? Do you think people would sit with you in real life if you do with them what you do here? Basilico, you have a skill. It is to dig stuff up. But your inability to measure with the brain in your head what you find before dumping it here just shows how stupidly braindead you are, and that's a pity. And worse is that it is actually disgustingly evil! |
kingkelvin2033:That's odd! What happened to your thread? kingkelvin2033:Did you do no research at all before you posted this your thread? Sozaboy: A Novel in Rotten English, by Ken Saro-Wiwa, is in pidgin. The Palm-Wine Drinkard by Amos Tutuola is in pidgin. Ògbójú Ọdẹ Nínú Igbó Irúnmọlẹ̀, by Daniel O. Fagunwa, is in my own native Yoruba. And I'm certain there are loads more. What does get me about these sort of threads however is that while you lament not writing in our own native language, your lamentation in your own post is in English. Do you not see the dissonance in not writing your post in your own language? Personally, I'm glad you wrote in English, and not in pidgin or your own native language unless it is my Yoruba. Because, if you had, I wouldn't have read it. I'm even pissed off that BBC patronises me with pidgin instead of assuming my school fees were paid in full and I paid attention in class. Good write though. Thanks for the read. |
basilico:Unlike tiny minded nuisance you, I'm not here to collect likes, and nor have any of those who liked a post of mine sought my permission. People like what they read usually because of the sense it makes, and in appreciation of the care and thought it took to craft it. You though? Please do not ever like a post of mine. Your liking will debase me!
