It's the same misogynistic racist tropes they trot out when a woman or black person is running.
When it's a woman, she cackles. Google Hillary's Cackle.
When it's a black person, he/she is dumb. Obama was a terrible student, not good enough for Harvard. He stole someone's id to get into Harvard.. blah bah.
And they are always only successful because of outside factors, DEI, Affirmative Action.
Same old tropes, just repackaged.
Sad when it comes from black people, but not surprising that those in Plato's Cave would not want anyone to leave. Its the same way we force ourselves to not eat fruits of knowledge in case our eyes open and we see enough to free ourselves from slavery, but some amongst ourselves benefit from the status quo and don't mind their own race being chained so long as they themselves profit.

I watched Django Unchained last week, and was rather amused at Stephen (played by Samuel Jackson). He reminded me of Tim Scott, and made me want to ask you to educate me on the different types of black people there are in USA, but figured .... . Well.

We have seen countless times where governments in power take a leaf of advise from Nairaland and other Media houses to effect changes in governance. Who can tell
Personally, my hope is low. Everyone on Nairaland and other Media houses are currently loudly telling "governments in power" to end bad governance, but I can't say "governments in power" has heard.

All I need the current government do is release good accounts and records of our government parastatals and co for us to see, since our president is an accountant.

Just a list of how much ministries and co. owe NEPA, and how much is spent on various subsidies, will do for starts. But nothing yet. Sadly.

I am so ashamed for our youths and their level of comprehension of simple write-ups such as the one under discussion. The 3rd poster, Odingo, derailed the topic in favor of ethnic bashing because he didn’t understand the post,. Almost all the other responders went along with the wrong opinion of Odibgo and ran with it.

The survey was talking about the ratio of people who took DNA test and their locations, both within Lagos and outside of Lagos; the age of kids being tested and the purposes for which the test was done in the first place. The DNA survey was not talking about which tribe fornicate the most!

The greatest wrong our leaders have done to our youths is: the miseducation of our youths.
A lot of people have cold brains.

It was the op who claimed Yorubas formicate more, though he has since changed the topic of his thread now we've pointed out his lack of comprehension and ignorance.

She is not gonna have another one. She is trying to back out of the debate, she wants to read from notes in the debate. I would conclude she is expecting debate questions and to carry prepared answers.

They gave Hillary Clinton debate questions before, who is to say they are not planning to do the same thing?
I'm not surprised she'd want notes. I'd need notes too to fact check dumb's many lies. In fact, I'd need a whole lot of assistants with notes to fact check dumb's numerous lies!

As for planning. I'd rather see evidence than go yelling without any that the debate was rigged, considering Biden who might have needed them never had debate questions before hand.

The person that write this statistic should go and do DNA if truly his father is the one that born him.
In fact, I must agree, though I think it is the person who posted it that should go and do DNA test to check if they have a brain!

The article says "Yoruba ethnic group accounted for 53 per cent of tests, followed by Igbo (31.3 per cent), with Hausa at only 1.20 per cent", and the op read that as Yoruba has '53% negative tests, Igbo 31.3% negative tests, Hausa 1.20% negative testing', like someone who never went to school!

I guess we'll need to see how many ignorantly fall for his ignorant bias or have brains themselves to see through it and that of course the more well read will do more DNA tests than illiterates who never went to school

Op! You are very out of order!

Nigerians are not daft and the understand that the rot of 60years won't go away in a year.

What is important is to lay the foundation of a new and greater Nigeria and to put pressure on the government not to lose track.

But when you think of changing power from a one ere man and give to a blind man as solution to Nigeria problem then your delusion is follow come.

Atiku and Obi are not and cannot be a replacement for Tinubu, take that home and you will be alright
Atiku and Obi are not the only Nigerians suitable for our presidency. And there's the Senate and House of Reps and governors too who significantly contribute to the bad governance.

In fact, I do wonder that we are not laying a foundation (we can't be laying foundation since 1960!), but are letting bad builders build on a bad foundation with bad bricks. But I do suppose we can continue doing what we've always done and expect a different and better outcome. Hope does after all spring eternal, I'm told, and Nigerians are patient and very good at Shuffering and Shmiling.

The below is from 1977. It might make you see how far we've come.

What she gave on CNN was not an interview, it was just a show to ease the complaints and she still bombed it, despite Dana not pushing her like she did with Vance.

She failed to answer the most basic questions. Instead, she prepared word salad.

The interview was not live, meaning they selected the best to show us. She only spoke for 16 minutes. That's not an interview, that's a show.
Is "just a show" your new adjective (sentence) to describe Kamala's interview?

It's not really an adjective, mind, and its very weak, like the sort of adjectival sentence one would use to describe what musk did with dump if you asked me, though that is better described as a 'rambling shît show' despite and because of its length.

The former governor said it will be “very difficult” for Tinubu to be defeated in the 2027 presidential election.

He added that Tinubu defeated all obstacles to become president in 2023, including a sitting president, who did not want him.
I do wonder if Tinubu would defeat the people yelling ẹbí n'pawa and end bad governance, and no fuel and spiked exchange and gari rate etc., but I do guess Nigerians can suffer long and continue to elect the source of their suffering.

We after all yelled "Fulani" for 4 years and elected Bubu for another 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if we can't be the obstacles that defeat Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Hopefully, satan will hear what I write and do the opposite of what is currently done just as this writer believes Tinubu would.

Prior to her interview on CNN, you didn't need the adjective "proper" to make sure you don't see, and I guess after she does give what you can't argue would be a proper interview, you'd need another adjective to cover your eyes with.

Funny that some humans do that, cover their eyes with adjectives, so they may claim they have not seen.

What a load of RUBBISH.

Are you even aware that Africans colonised Europe for 800 years between 711 and 1492?

Ever heard of the Moors?
Parts of Europe, Sir. Spain, to be specific. And it wasn't Africans, but Muslim Arabs.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_conquest_of_the_Iberian_Peninsula

And guess what they taught the europeans who heretofore believed they too descended from enslaved muddy Adam. That the understanding the Europeans had of the Bible was shÏt! That humans must not live by bread alone.

And that was about when Europe began to understand that they were not meant to be slaves like Adam, but could rule and subdue and dominate and multiply if they ate the fruits of knowledge. And so they did eat the fruits of knowledge only to find that they did not die. And their eyes opened. And they became enlightened. And Europeans began to colonise the entire earth.

In fact, long before the mythical Moses, Africans in Egypt were gods. And I could argue that a version of the Adam myth was what they used to enslave others including the descendants of Abraham, until Moses stole the fruits of knowledge out of Egypt and fed it to the Israelites and their eyes opened and they left slavery in "Eden" where Joseph and his brothers had gone to beg for food.

No one is created in any poxy god's image is the point, but some believe they are and they eat the fruits of the gods and learn to rule and subdue and colonise and multiply. While some believe they descended from Adam, and remain the enslaved and colonised and in darkness until they become tired of being slaves and eat the fruits of the god's so they too may see, which we Africans will do one day when we shall then say, "Let there be Light", and the response will not be "Nepa!"

In Nigeria? When?

OkCornel:
Again, the combined capacity of the local refineries is sufficient to meet the needs of the nation with importation as a last resort, not the mainstay as it fraudulently is!
Capacity, perhaps. Actual output? I doubt it.

And I personally don't think "the combined capacity of the local refineries (minus Dangote's) is sufficient to meet the needs of the nation".

If you look at fuel usage per capita, you'd find we use less per person compared to most countries, and that's because of lack of availability. If we had the fuel, we'd use it. As it is, we are starved of fuel (and energy).

Are you telling us Nigeria stopped refining crude oil locally from 1972 onwards?
No, I'm not telling you "Nigeria stopped refining crude oil locally from 1972 onwards".

I'm saying, (though not telling you, as I expect you not to take my word for it and do your own research to confirm or debunk), that our refineries never worked to capacity they were built for, and never fully supplied Nigeria's fuel needs.

Our refineries are probably currently refining crude oil today, but likely just so little that it doesn't show on any radar.

One just need consider that we can't get the amount of crude oil out of the ground that we have the capacity for, how much less refine it, a process that requires much more brain cells.

From your post:

The government's reliance on foreign refining of crude oil has negatively affected the country's fuel supply and economic stability.

Our reliance on foreign refining of crude oil began before we built refineries.

Hence my question, why is our refineries not working?

Who should we hold accountable for the $40 billion spent on maintenance with no results to show for it?
The government will spend 80b on “turn around maintenance” and the refineries will still not work because they were never designed to work.

Its like you spending 80b on a car I sold you that has no engine or gear box. Until you learn about gear boxes and engines, your car is going nowhere. And even after you learn about gear boxes and engines, you'd only find out the car I sold you still wouldn't work because all the other materials I put in the car, including the seat and steering wheel, were not designed to work.

Besides, you know very well that the 'government' has not spent 40b on any "turn around maintenance”, but have spent it on turning around their own individual lifes.

Why are the refineries not working?
The refineries were not built to work.

We went to Russia to get people to build refineries for us and expect Russia that wants you to buy oil from them to build you refineries that work!

That's like asking the association of generator sellers to build you NEPA, and your are surprised you have no light. Or getting a mechanic who wants to sell you a car to certify the car is in good condition.

If Nigeria wants refineries that work, Nigerians would need to stop being naive and learn to say "let there be refineries" so refineries are.

That is what Dangote has done, and is why we ought to celebrate him.

People who descend from Adam do not have colonies.

Colonies are for those created in the image of the gods, and who understand that they should "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground”, and are given "every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Those who don't eat the fruits of the trees of knowledge will always be colonised due to their lack of knowledge.
