It is one thing to vote, it is another thing for your vote to count.
Actually, voting, and making one's vote count, are one and the same thing. The opponent might have their own foot soldiers, but one can always be foot soldier for one's preferred candidate, instead of wailing that the opponent's foot soldiers are better than me, as was the case with my Obi.

Election is every 4 years, so I just need to work better next time, and the time after that and the time after that. The labour has after all only just begun.

The moment I saw, I'm Obidient too, I knew what's up but it's fine. You think I have time to engage in politics matter? I have many things running through my mind so fighting or arguing over those who already made it is not my headache right now. My own is, Nigeria leaders are not helping someone like me..I you're a big man, congrats to you but me, I will speak as I as feel it. Obidient or Disobedient, I don't care. People like helinus attacked me because I blamed Tinubu's govt instead of Jonathan's
You (we) did not elect Nigeria leaders to help someone like you, is the point. And considering there are more people like you than "big man", it just shows how you (we) have not bothered to use our democrat power of one person one vote to elect Nigerian leaders who will help someone like you. Thankfully, the results of democracy are instant, as we are now finding.

I would "attack" you even if you blamed Obi, do note, as blaming others means not blaming yourself. Why we never voted for any non-APC leader after the constant moaning about Buhari's APC just astounds me.

Nigerian banks make me laugh. Imagine paying to deposit money in my bank account when the bank will use my money to make more money for them self.

It's the ignorance of Nigerians that makes this possible. In most countries, banks pay you (interest) to deposit your money with them.

Here is the Fitch rating chart, tell me if you’ll invest in this economy as an investor.
I might, especially if the investment is a loan on which the interest charged would be high due to inherent risk.

And hopefully, you will default, which will increase the principal you owe on which you'd pay an increased interest since it's not like a country can file for bankruptcy.

I see your point with the fg spin, however.

I strongly suggest you don't "ignore that anyway" and doubt you can to be honest.

Taking responsibility empowers you, while blaming others makes you their slave.

Ok let's take the Lagos Ibadan rail way... What productivity has it improved that would warrant 1.2 trillion investment of borrowed money

All the infrastructure Buhari built, second niger bridge, what's the effects on Anambra?

Abuja Kano rail what's the effects

You guys keep seeing it... But yet keep doubling down on infrastructure on borrowed funds... It hasn't worked since 1960 won't work now

Only a foolish government borrow money to build infrastructure ... You borrow money to provide credit facilities to industries you have comparative advantage on
Those who use those infrastructure know the benefit it provides them.

And only a foolish government borrows money to provide credit facilities to Dangote!

I will start from the last statement- that's not me but those guys are really off point and I'm not in the mood for their nonsense. The bolded is so funny honestly... Buhari's govt was bad but the poor were still breathing because many of us was able to afford tfare but we all know how things changed for many since Tinubu got there. Who is responsible for removing fuel subsidy without plans? Am I responsible for the present fuel scarcity? Who should I blame?
If "those guys are really off point and I'm not in the mood for their nonsense", you would have ignored them.

Blaming others just shows you are not responsible, so why would I hire you when I need you to be responsible for making me money when you can't even make your own transport fare money to my workplace?

Thankfully, you showed me on day zero that I'd get excuses of you blaming others, and thereby saved me the loss of hiring you.

P.s. I am obidient, but we are all responsible for electing Tinubu, and we deserve the pain we inflicted on ourselves. If Buhari's government was as bad as you claim, why the heck elect his party for another 4-8 years?

Hopefully, we'd remember how badly we hurt when the next election comes up, though I do doubt we would.

Building infrastructure with loan is a recipe for disaster it has never worked . .. It makes absolutely no sense

Imagine a struggling business is given loan and they use it to build or renovate their head office? Or buy boss an official car
"Build or renovate their head office, Or buy boss an official car" is not "Building infrastructure"!

Building infrastructure is when you increase your productivity, like renovating or building a factory, or improving a road to lessen congestion. And taking a loan for it is good business.

I don't know where to post this but I think politics is okay and pls mods, kindly push to front page if you can.

I got a job last week and I was told to resume this week. Today, I tried everything I could to meet up but no money so I called my boss that I won't be able to come today and he said, okay. I thanked him and started hustling to get the money for tfare.

This evening, this same boss called me and told me that, my appointment has been terminated. I started begging and crying but he said, I am starting with excuses and that won't be tolerated.

Tfare that should be around 3,500 jumped to about 7k from my place because of the fuel scarcity. A country that has nothing to offer yet cursing us pains and suffering.

I'm back to my usual self now because of the failed govt.

And I want to use this opportunity to apologise to someone I offended via email I sent today...pls for God sake, forgive me.
I would have sacked you too. If you can't solve your own problem, how the heck are you going to solve the problems I hired you to solve?

The fact that you've posted this in politics just shows you want to put the responsibility of your inability to solve your problem on politics!

And I have the feeling you offend much, by your responses here.

It also won't happen because USA does not want Nigeria. All they want is that you buy American, which we already do to their delight.

In fact, it kind of makes the "importation of coal to Newcastle" a true statement.

There is no evidence COVID was man made in China. And if it were it would have been rather stupid of them to spread it in China first when they could have just infected America with it instead of themselves.

Leave me alone (beg her to stay)

Don't text me again (she meant you should call her)

Go away (she want you to be come closer)

I hate you (She love you a lot)

What are we? ( Reassure her and tell her your intentions)
Don't let go of that relationship
And I bet when she says no to sex, you fuq her anyway, because, in your mind, she really means yes?

No, I will not get lost.

We don't need a home grown religion nor any religion at all. What we need is a good education system that teaches the use of the brain and the senses.

Religion, be it home grown or imported, is simply to control you, while a good education sets you free and teaches you manners and how to communicate intelligently.

I understand that the word "lack" may be ambiguous. But I had to use that since these people decided to me mischievous.

Well, I don't know about animals but one thing I'm sure is that. Animals can never be atheists.
The first prerequisite of being an atheist is that such thing must be a person. A human being.
Doubt it's a prerequisite but more like a convention. We don't exactly endow animals with the ability to believe, though it has been argued they might.

A baby who is delivered on America is an American. Whether the baby understands what citizenship means or not.
There are things that society confers on kids.

A child may grow up to renounce his citizenship. But as long as a baby is born into a hospital within a country. The baby is a citizen by default.

Same way babies are born atheists by default.
If atheism is defined as a lack of belief in deities, then babies and orangutans qualify, I'd say. Technically, at least, since they lack belief in deities.

But atheism as a lack of belief, is a definition from the theist point of view, as atheists ought to know instead.

Since I am being blamed for the being "born an atheist" statement, (I never knew Richard Dawkins had said the same thing), perhaps I should be more accurate.

My parents had no time for gods when I was born, apart from the intellectual study of Egyptian gods being done by my father who was fascinated by the fact that he had learnt about Yahweh and Allah back home and wondered why he had never been introduced to other Western gods.

I learnt about Yahweh and Allah and the fact that people believed in them and in their existence when I arrived in Nigeria at the age of 7. And to me it sounded no different to believing in Tom and Jerry's existence, which some did actually tell me they believed. I had learnt about Greek and Roman and English gods by then, and they were not taught as things to believe in or that had ever existed.

So, basically, I was born into an atheist family, and church on Sunday became an excuse to get out the house, though I do confess I often did not end up in the said church. Currently, everyone in my family believes in god.

Use your damn head.

The colonialists invaded and seized your resources and wealth.

Access to your wealth became dependent on your getting a European education and getting a job as a clerk and getting a salary.

So there was a ‘clamour’ for their education because that was the new way to achieve material success.

To get into their ‘missionary schools’ you had to drop your traditional religion and become a Christian…

So it was ECONOMIC BLACKMAIL that caused your ancestors to become ‘Christians’.
So, you needed to go to their schools in order to eat? Unfortunately, this is not true. And I bet you did not go to school because you were blackmailed, but because your parents wanted you to learn to use your head and be successful in life.

My paternal grandfather was the first in my family to go to school, and he did not go because he was blackmailed, but because he saw the advantage in having an education. He did not even become a Christian, and continued with his babalawoism till he died.

But if you are so averse to western education, perhaps start by responding in your native tongue instead of the tongue of those whom you claim economically blackmailed you.

Kobojunkie:
First things first, Scripture has it that only one man was made in the image of God, and that man was Adam.
This is not true! The man God is written to have created in God's image was not named Adam, and was not created from mud, and was not told not to eat any fruit, and was not a slave in a garden, but was created to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth", and "every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat".

The only reason anyone would like you to believe your claim above that Adam was the same creation as God's Image, is to hide the fact that some are slaves while some are masters.

Is atheism all about the label or the behaviour itself?
It depends on the individual. Though I doubt atheism alone influences anyone's behaviour since they usually don't eat bread alone.

My atheism extends to beliefs in general and could be called antibelief. It does also include love for my neighbours, which is not a belief but a behaviour.
