Ex. Driving in Lagos. I used to drive in Lagos like I would drive in the US. I would trafficate and wait for someone to give me space to enter. It rarely happened. Finally, my g/f would laugh and told me to let her drive. But she was right, in order to get anywhere driving I had to be more aggressive. If I didn't acclimate to that, I couldn't drive. Sometimes, you have to acclimate to the environment you're in or leave the environment.

You can't possibly believe that racists are only racist to people who don't hold themselves a certain way. Sounds too much like blaming racism on the people who are bearing the brunt of that racism.

And are you trying to argue that you can truly know a culture if you haven't experienced it first hand? It's a very Western view that discounts culture.
