Her issue will not be the west, but Nigerians. Most frown at dog eating because of what dogs eat. Same reason we do not eat pigs that roam around our streets. Both are unhealthy and unfit for human consumption. |

The savage, as he emerges from a state of barbarism, gradually loses faith in his idols of wood and stone, and in their place puts a multitude of spirits. As he advances in knowledge, he generally discards the petty spirits, and in their stead believes in one, whom he supposes to be infinite and supreme. Supposing this great spirit to be superior to nature, he offers worship or flattery in exchange for assistance. At last, finding that he obtains no aid from this supposed deity—finding that every search after the absolute must of necessity end in failure—finding that man cannot by any possibility conceive of the conditionless—he begins to investigate the facts by which he is surrounded, and to depend upon himself The people are beginning to think, to reason and to investigate. Slowly, painfully, but surely, the gods are being driven from the earth https://www.gutenberg.org/files/38107/38107-h/38107-h.htm

basilico:"Can't", I meant. Or is Utah not Bible belt?
|
elated177:You are like the person who wakes up in clouds and sees angels, which saves me having to type a whole new response to you.
|
basilico:Amazing, isn't it, that Utah can protect the Bible. |
elated177:This is like saying humans do not create what you claim they are wired to look. Like before you go looking for petrol, someone did not look for the knowledge to create the vehicle you want to put the petrol inside, and someone did not look for the knowledge to evolve you from walking to riding in the petrol driven vehicle. I'm not surprised at you though. It's not like you've shown any understanding of how things come to be as they appear to you today, and to be honest I doubt you even read the op. |

It means you are hallucinating. It could be symptomatic of pending schizophrenia or might be intoxication. Do you drink or smoke hemp Is there a source of carbon monoxide (heater or perhaps a faulty air-condition) in your home? Is your room clean and well aired? I'll check those, then start considering your home was built on polluted land like a landfill, but I'd check for hallucinations first, then that your eyes actually work, as in, see what is actually there instead of what your mind thinks it sees. A test for that last one is wait till you start seeing food or money, then eat the food to see if you are full, or spend the money at your local shop. If these work then what you see is very real. |
raumdeuter:Is a healthy adult ill? |
raumdeuter:An ill person is not a healthy adult I think, but correct me if I'm wrong. And unless they were ill and never worked, they paid taxes too. |
armyofone:Like go get well from cancer and go back to work? |
elated177:For you it might have, and since you don't know the purpose of my thread I wouldn't expect otherwise where you are concerned. People go looking for quite a lot of things they think they are wired for, and most of those things are just what they desire but don't need. |
Some will then tell you that you will die if you eat the fruits of trees of knowledge of good and evil, and despite reading how long Adam and Eve lived, most will believe it killed him.
|
sneakershub8:Depends what you expected from him to start with. |
elated177:Your question is answered, but I guess you don't get my drift. Humans do not look for things they do not need. |
elated177:You would need to state your drift so it can be caught as you want it to be caught I guess, because it might as well be said that humans are wired to breath oxygen and work for their daily bread, oxygen and daily bread being other things apart or as well as petrol that most living beings go looking for. I'd add knowledge too, since most humans who don't seek knowledge die sooner than those who do, very generally speaking. |
Dtruthspeaker:Were you homeschooled? https://wapo.st/43A1Xr0
|
elated177:Another way of seeing this might be that we are not wired to hunger for food or water. We are wired to live (and die, eventually), and living requires food and water, amongst other things, so we go looking for food and water and those other things so that we may live instead of die of hunger for them. Same wired to live requires that we seek knowledge. People die for lack of fulfilling their hunger for it, as shown below.

KnownUnknown:That's what I thought. A long time ago, I read a book about the Chinese making gods for their people to worship sometime like 1000 years ago. Also read about Egyptians making gods before Yahweh. And now I'm coming to understand why gods and religion are essential for teaching the basics of communal living (discipline, for instance, and respecting others, and working for one's daily bread). Though that's hard to say about religionised DT who hasn't learnt the Word is in the beginning. Those who don't learn the basics of living do not tend to live long nor comfortable, just as one who isn't taught to brush one's teeth, as in religionised to worship one's toothbrush, will not have teeth that will last one's entire lifetime. Here's some trivia. The Greek God of teeth was Cadmus, and the Egyptians' was Sopdu. |
Dtruthspeaker:Everyone must have told you what they see and told you to speak for them all, because even I who posted it having read half way through at the time, only just got to the end, so its very obvious you have not bothered to read it for your self, but we'll see how many say for themselves they see you don't read. |
Dtruthspeaker:Thanks to the Gods for over long since continuing being in touch with women. |
Do note its origin please. It's likely to inform bias. https://www.marxists.org/archive/keracher/1929/how-gods-made.htm
