First we read, or it is written in Chapter 1 that:

Then God said, “Let us make (hu)mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created (hu)mankind in his own image in the image of God he created the male and female he created them.

Then was added the second chapter creation of Adam and Eve:

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Many assume the (hu)mankind in Genesis 1 is the Adam and Eve in Genesis 2, but lets see the instruction they were given.

Gen 1 (hu)mankind is told to “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” While Gen 2 Adam and Eve were "put him in the Garden of them to work it and take care of it", which is a significant downgrade of the task given to (hu)mankind. Basically, (hu)mankind, it is written, was created to rule over the entire earth, while Adam and Eve were naked slaves in the tiny Garden of Eden.

Now, while these are just myths and stories they have significant implications for human beings who allow themselves to be programmed. You'd find that some prefer to be stupid ignorant knowledge averse believing Adams, while some would be use her senses knowledge and wisdom seeking Eves, but some are yet (hu)mankinds who are "fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground”. Each of us choose which creation we are.

You might notice the difference in nations that obey the instruction given to (hu)mankind in Genesis 1, and those that obey the instruction given to Adam in Genesis 2. Even nations that do as Eve did are doing better than the Adamic nations, and the (hu)mankind nations are ruling over them all.

Many people have been studying(not just reading) these texts as far back as the second temple period(That's still thousands of years, granting the most liberal dating). And they have come out with an harmony across the text.

Do you think all these people across space and time turned off their brains or do you think maybe; just maybe, it's possible that, if we allowed the text to speak in its own voice(as much as possible) without imposing ours on it, we might be able to see a tension, beauty and harmony within the first 3chapters of genesis?
