benalvino2:Stories, is what they would be to you, a Nigerian. They are experiences when your grandma and grandpa tells them to you, especially when you now see George Floyd televised in front of your face, and that's apart from your own personal daily experience that confirm it. |
benalvino2:You do not seem to understand the struggle you would need to go through to empower yourself when the system is designed to oppress you. That's why you fail to see BLM and Palestine as part of that struggle. Its like you think blacks want to and only have an inclination to be NBA and NFL and Beyonce and Jazzy instead of Bill Gates and Tesla and Amazon, when in fact the system inclines it to be the way that it is. |
benalvino2:No, benalvino. The racism would not affect them all equally. You, a Nigerian, can not be affected by the stories you never heard of grandma and grandpa in chains, raped and whipped by master, children sold off elsewhere, having to go to underfunded black only schools, having to get off your seat on a bus to sit at the back so white can sit, and having to bow your head as you walk past whites so as not to be accused of raping their woman with your eyes. Whites would even rather employ you because you would put up with more due to your ignorance of the historical past than a native black who lived through that history. |
benalvino2:You are like one who sees a little bit of the picture and pressumes to have seen it all. We are in school learning to be lawyers, engineers, doctors, etc, so you will not see us "selling bolle, jellof rice and egusi soup rice" in Peckham, though Mama Lola is still there "selling bolle, jellof rice and egusi soup rice" to pay for her children to go to school. |
GalaticHorde:Even white employers would give work opportunity to Nigerians because Nigerians are devoid of the historical narrative a native black might have and which white fears. |
benalvino2:Not that I'm sure this is true, but a reason for it could be the harsh environment Nigerians come from that makes us work hard to develop the skills and talent to survive and succeed where the opportunities exist. This might be validated by the fact that Nigeria as a country is not so successful as a country despite being full of Nigerians because we have not yet developed the ability to create the opportunities in Nigeria. Basically, we work well on other peoples farms but can not farm our own land, yet. |
Listen to yourself. benalvino2:Do you see how you just said you have to have interest to practise to build your skills and talent in engineering and NBA and NFL? Yet, you want to believe there is an inclination, as in a person's natural tendency or urge to act or feel in a particular way; a disposition, that one is born with. Now, lets say I deprive you of the opportunity to build up your skills in engineering, like if I tell you black people can not excel in engineering, and if I keep showing you blacks excelling in NBA or NFL and provide you with the means to.practice only NBA or NFL, can you see how I have inclined what you think is a natural tendency in you? benalvino2:A natural tendency has been inclined in you to believe the above, that "Blacks as a race is biologically stronger than whites", despite the fact that if I tell you you can never have an IQ as high as an Asian or whites, you must insult me, and my mama and papa too! Or do you want to argue that one does not build up skills and talents by practising a lot to get strenght, or that Muhammed Ali can have just relied on being "biological stronger" to beat Henry Cooper? Remind me. Was it not you who asked me to validate you were in UK? I forget. |
basilico:We do not live in a "should world" in which I should be the world's president! We live in a real world, where it is as seen with your two eyes except by those who refuse to see what they look at and those who cover their eyes so they may not see at all. And if this were Sunday morning, I'd ask which one you are knowing I'd get an honest response, but its a weekday so I shall not bother. |
You said, "figures" I’m going to do this with Figures vis-à-vis the figures come north to show that northerners are conning people into staying in Nigeria, which is obviously failing. But I see none for this: Northerners don’t do importation a lot and they don’t have business paying taxes a lot. |
|
Some would rather stay up North, perhaps, because they might find it hard to sleep in Owerri. Happening Right Now In Owerri: Unknown Gunmen Out About On The Streets In Owerri |
Coldshisha:So, we "still survive better" despite our "worst health care" that is meant to help us survive? You got data for that or you just asking us to believe you and that the published figures are accurate? Before you respond, remember how very competent our government is and how many Nigerians are still denying there's no coronavirus just as we keep denying there's no Hiv/AIDs that's also killing us at an exceptionally high rate. |
|
Zik4zik:I for one would love to see how this plays out because I do not think it is possible nor ideal to buy a willingness to live a just and upright life, which one already ought to be living, because it benefits one more than the ₦100,000. I posted this here so as not to pollute your thread and because I can think of verses that might support your commendable position. An alternative proposal was for those who increased in profit, but it never got off the ground. |
The best religion is the religion followed by those who resist the temptation of the sin of thank you Lord that I am not like that JW, or Muslim or atheist or whoever believes differently to oneself over there, because one just loves the neighbours regardless of their beliefs, and one resists promoting a false narative like Muslims are terrorists because one knows their Muslim neighbour has never ever terrorised them.
|
lilvicky68:Yeah, I'm good, thanks. Have you been vaccinated yet? |
lilvicky68:Oh! As in, do I get a third jab? I thought you meant had anyone else had a second jab. I've read rumours of annual topups, but I guess they must wait for the evidence to see if it would be required. So far, two is the required dosage. |
edi287:Go, and sin no more. |
AmazonTopaz:That's because I do not waste my time responding to brainless insignificant idiots who do not value themselves so can not value others, unlike some who can't resist responding to it! Ignoring the brainless frees me up to respond to those who use the brains in their heads. If you paint white in front of a person who uses their mind, they'd choke before saying it is black or its not white, but whatever you paint in front of the mindless is never seen by them so why waste time painting in response to it? If it break the rules, report it and move on. You'd find even it runs out of monickers eventually, but what it hates the most is being starved of your attention. Starve it and see how it gasps and gasps and gasps until it just dies of asphyxiation. I'm going to start reporting derailings. Do note. |
raumdeuter:Lol! Respectfully. |
Ibime:Conveniently, this is ignored. If raumdeuter does not call me a cab when he sees me walking down the street with his possessions on my head from his house that I just robbed, we can ask him to suggest the bad name to give to his dog before we hang it.
|
Had my second Astra Zeneca today, 8 weeks after the first. I went shopping afterwards, as there's a market by my doctors, and I've been cooking since I got back, so I expect to be exhausted. I have remained fine after the first jab and expect my fineness to continue after this second jab. |
raumdeuter:The real world works differently indeed. Just see how Palestine, and Israel, both part of the real world are very obviously not moving on! Some are even harking back to Abraham just so you can see where they are stuck from moving on, but you want to completely disregard the real world playing out in front of you and insist the whole world should move on like Constantinople, and American Indians, just as you too would move on after I rob you and you see me walking down the street with the contents of your house that I just robbed, right? You'd so move on that you'd call me a cab to ease the burden of your goods on my head, nice kind moving on you. You go tell that to those agitating for Biafra, or the Hausas fighting Fulani and come tell me what they tell you to do with your real world that is moving on. I'd so like to hear it. raumdeuter:I bet you'd argue that what you said above does not mean, Israel does not mind the thousands of bombs Palestine is shooting at them, but they shoot back at Palestine for whinning at being shot at. raumdeuter:Last time I checked, Sinaloa cartel was a "large international drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime syndicate established during the late 1980s", and not a group set up to fight for "Texas, California etc back to Mexico"! A better analogy would be Biafra or Delta, though not exact. And no, I do not expect Nigeria to just concede back the assets they stole, just as I don't expect America to give back Texas, California etc without a fight even if a credible group of people were fighting for it, or Israel to give back the land they stole, just as you should not expect me to give you back without a fight the contents of your house that I robbed. But I do think I'd be very ignorant to think you'd move on and call me a cab, in the real world. |
raumdeuter:So, because I rob your neighbour in Constantinople and they are not complaining, its ok for me to rob you wherever you are and you too must not complain? ? ![]() raumdeuter:As in, budaatum does not recognise your right to exist on budaatum's land that you stole off budaatum! Yes, I will fight and terrorise you with all the means at my disposal to exterminate you off my land, but I sure would not expect rumdeuter the land thief to find my fighting acceptable or rumdeuter would not have stolen my land in the first place and I would not need to exterminate rumdeuter. |
We would be arguing this back and forth forever since we all do not share the same history about it, so you all need to forgive me for just stating my position and not engaging too much in the to and fro. Below is a perspective one involving Israelis themselves. I am not necessarily in support or promoting the views therein. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKplabTRuak |
raumdeuter:That's like saying there are consequences when I enter your house and rob you. And I must say that I perfectly agree with you because it is obvious that the consequence is your loss of your property that I stole. Kindly confirm that you will not terrorise me if you see me walking down the street with your property that I have stolen, please. |
The Israelis are chasing Palestinian out of their own homes! And not just in Gaza or the West Bank! Biodun556:I would be bitter if I were the Palestinian here. benalvino2: |
raumdeuter:If you were Palestinian, would you not terrorise those who are grabbing your land? |
rakish:They win if you leave. Try to ignore the toxic people. Their plan is to cancel you off here and deprive me of your intelligently stated opinion even if it differs to mine. |
rakish:It's the same as Jeremy Corbyn's policy. Israel calls them anti-semites just for disagreeing with them. I call it cancel culture par excellence
