God gives everyone of us opportunities to lead either as an elder brother, a team leader, a father, a head of department, head of centers, directors, chairman, governor, senator or even president.
The facts just do not support your position.

No God gives anyone the "opportunities" to lead. What you are at best given is the potential to learn to be a leader, and after much learning you just might be able and competent to lead others.

We read even in the God Book of elder brothers being led by their younger brothers, and lowly shepherds leading mighty nations and kingdoms. Even Moses began from the most humble beginnings, as did Mohammed and Jesus Christ, and their opportunity was that of being able to learn, the potential we all have these days.

I am saying all this because of the fallacy of your destiny not being in your hands which is not true. You would not believe but despite however you might assume I may feel about your unwillingness to learn because you pressume to know it all already, I will say again that my faith that you may be a great leader in is immense, but first must you learn to lead yourself. And it starts by being honest and not lying to oneself or others just so one might seem smart when in fact one just is very stupid and ignorant

Funny. Here's one I just completed about claiming to know how Mars came into being, or how the moon and the sun came into being, or how Uranus came into being.

Honestly the Honorable impressed me.

I was full of admiration for the man and President Buhari when I used the Abuja - Kaduna train. Particularly loved the extra chilling a/c, USB charging ports, laptop tables and smartly dressed cabin crew. The beautiful station is just the icing on the cake.

If we were progressing at this pace since 1999 we would be launching bullet trains by now, but we are getting there.

God bless Nigeria.
mcjohny asked me why I was proud of being Nigerian. Its that potential we individually have, I told him, especially if we collect the t together.

budaatum:
First, its my country. Second is our immense potential especially after the youths educate themselves, which I see them doing here at Nairaland University. We will after all one day get rid of the old guard or they will just die a natural death and and then those youth will be in charge of turning Nigeria into what they want it to become, and by 2050, if not long before, or by 2100 by the latest, Nigeria will be the new world power and I am proud in advance for what I see we have the capability to achieve.

Not having such faith and hope in Nigeria is like saying I, buda, a Nigerian, is too useless to fulfil my potential which will be a blatant lie considering how much effort I daily put in to educating myself to be sufficiently competent to fulfil my potential. And I can see that I am not the only one who understands that our country Nigeria is whatever we Nigerians make of it, be it bad or the good powerful nation we can all be proud of.

For the short answer please see below.
Christianity Etc › Re: Adam And Eve: OPINION by budaatum:
Good thing is it is your opinion, and you have not offered any of this as fact nor claimed your opinion is the truth, which I see as the operation of a mind that is intelligent.

Me myself and I can only wonder how some can possibly say anything about how the earth came into being. I mean, before I start with how the earth came into being, you would expect me to at least be humble and start with how Africa came into being and that is if I am willing to accept how the land mass called Nigeria got its name which is not exactly the same as claiming to know how the land mass now known as Nigeria came into being.

Unless I am ignorant enough to claim the Earth came into being sometime in April 4004BC, how could I possibly know when anything in the universe came into being especially with my puny knowledge of things coming into being in no way extending so far back? Would I really sound intelligent to a person with a brain if I claimed to know how Mars came into being, or how the moon and the sun came into being, or how Uranus came into being?

One thing I do know though is that Adam and Eve are part of a story of human nature, and not so much specific people called Adam and Eve. Archetypes they are, some being like ignorant naked blind enslaved Adam who believes what he is told, and others being like Eve who disbelieves and instead uses her senses to find out for herself if what she is told is true or not. One can see it like a program, as in software that is breathed into the mud that is the computer that one is. You either get the Adam software and be unable to think and reason and find out for yourself for fear if dying, or you get the Eve software and you seek and ask and knock with all your might and heart and soul and being until you learn if you shall surely die or become free from ignorance. The choice is entirely yours, or ones, I should say, since one can program oneself.

Lagos Colony got its independence in 1861, was amalgamated with Southern Nigeria in 1906 by Lord Frederick Lugard, Lagos State is the Property of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, you can pack your imaginary Oduduwa & go back to the forest of Oyo & Ile-Ife. Nobody is giving you the opportunity to lead anyone! Not in this democratic dispensation anyway, where you have to let your light so shine before others so they may see your good works and decide to follow you or not because they see your destination (or fruits) is a good and worthy one to be led to eat.

NB. Forgive me people for quoting Bible (one book), and for not quoting Quran also! It is poverty on my part that I know it more than the Quran which I would also quote if only the verses fell off my typing fingers like the book I do quote for Christ did warn that living by only one book will malnourish. I do not quote because I believe or for you to believe, which I categorically do not nor want you to, but so the words therein may be considered. I would be grateful if someone would find me equivalents in the Quran because I know the Words are there too.

What you failed to notice is that Nigerians are what they are today because Nigeria made them so.
Your reasoning is like saying the cart pulls the horse, which is obviously not true. The truth is Nigeria is what we Nigerians made Nigeria to to become.

Take the gutter in front of your house in which mosquitoes breed and kill people with malaria. Nigeria did not put the gutter there. We Nigerians put the gutter there then we poured our waste water in it to breed the mosquitoes that eat us and give us the malaria that kills us. In fact, to say we are competent mosquito and malaria farmers will not be too far from the truth!

Take bribery and corruption. We Nigerians pay the bribe to we Nigerians who receive the bribe to corrupt what we refused to properly do, so how can that be Nigeria's fault?

Take our governors, senators, and co. We elect them there without due diligence, and even sometimes collect some rice and kerosine, then we are surprised when the politician we collected rice and kerosine from recoups his or her investment by looting government money instead of paying us our wages.

Take police. They stop you in your car and you pay them bribe instead of making you have obeyed the law and have the correct particulars and your car is roadworthy.

Sorry, but you can not take shortcuts and then blame some non-entity for the result of your shortcutting! We are Nigeria. And our country is a reflection of that which abounds in our individual hearts. We make Nigeria whatever it is and whatever we want it to become.

Out of the citizens come a tiny few privileged to lead:
Are you familiar with the hymn All things great and wonderful?

The rich man in his castle,
The poor man at his gate,
He made them, high or lowly,
And ordered their estate.

Look it up. You'd find the The second verse above that supports your position of "privilege" tends to disappear from modern hymn books.

The reason is that it is not true. No one is priviledged to lead. Those who lead you and whom you follow are those whom you look up to and think are superior to yourself, and looking up to them is either your personal choice - if you freely choose to look up to them and be led by them, or you are their slave if they have deprived you of the information that will enable you to make a choice and lead yourself, a la, Adam, again, and the poor Hausas whom you claim are okay with Fulani dominance of their entire life.

Some choose instead to make themselves lookuptoable, as in, they do the work to become fishers of people and lead. And they, like proper leaders, empower others to fish for people and become leaders too. The entire life of Jesus Christ you claim to worship instead of learn about and from, is a lesson in becoming a leader, unlike the God they wrote supposedly enslaved Adam in the Garden of Eden, I must insist! That's why Jesus went about opening your eyes so you may see where you are going and where you are leading others to instead of keeping you ignorant and naked and enslaved and blind in the Garden of Eden.

The eyes are to see where you are going, Jesus meant. If your eyes do not work, none of your senses will work and you will be enslaved in ignorance and unable to see where you are going and be unable to lead yourself or others. So shine your eyes!

Or is that not so, Shadeyinka, that it is the Spirit that led you here and that you have followed so that you may learn (be taught is the proper expression since it is against your will to learn!), to become a leader instead of thinking you are destined to be a follower?

Start by leading yourself, you are very capable.

Just learn from a book or from a religious leader like Jesus Christ who shed blood so you may learn,.instead of ignorantly believing that which you can not be bothered to understand.

Once you understand and learn to lead yourself, you will become fishers of other human beings as promised. It means you will become a leader.

We pray for our daily bread and then become atheists when God does not prepare a table before us as if God lied when God is written to have said:

"Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

Which means, do not be a lazy fuq!

And,

"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."

Which means, lazy fuqs will surely die.

I guess when hunger catch some people they will get off their lazy asses and bless themselves or die for their lack of getting knowledge and wisdom and understanding.

And Men, never marry, since marrying will put women in your plan. And do not have children with women because children is a plan in itself that involves women! In fact, don't even look or talk to women at all because mere looking at women will put women in your plan, and do not ever visit or talk to your mother or your aunties or your grandmother or your sisters or any womens in your family and neighbourhood or they will leap into your plan!

I would have added, and definitely do not give birth to women, but I think that is covered in one of the above, so let me end with, good luck without women in your plan.

Bitter? No, shadeyinka, another person's willful ignorance does not make me bitter at all. Sad, perhaps, that some can be so willfully ignorant. Angry even, that somone might have afflicted them with the ignorance. Annoyed, sometimes, that your ignorance is willful. Frustrated, at times, that you might not know how afflicted with ignorance you might be. Tired sometimes at how much work one must do to educate you out of it. And energised, at the amount of work still to be done educating the likes of you. But never ever bitter one tiny bit because I am informed that the poor in knowledge shall always be amongst us and we educators are few while those to be educated are plenty.

So no, not bitter. Just not willing to waste any of my time on those who will hang on to their willful ignorance while there are many to learn from and many more willing to learn to use their own senses instead of just believing the crap some make up inside their heads and tell others to be brainless like them and just believe.

For your information.

raker300:
The Western media is focused on the struggle between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, with searing images of the humanitarian disaster that is unfolding. Yet the magnitude is tiny compared to the humanitarian crisis in northern Nigeria. Total confirmed deaths number 239 in the current round of fighting between Hamas and the Israelis. In comparison, there have been at least 755 deaths since January 1, 2021 in northeastern Borno State, the epicenter of the Boko Haram insurgency; in northeastern Nigeria alone, over 2.9 million are internally displaced. In northwestern Kaduna and Zamfara states, both heavily afflicted by armed banditry, cumulative deaths since the turn of the year are at least 705. (Many more have been kidnapped.) Reporting from northern Nigeria is difficult, and thus casualty figures are likely an undercount. Now, the World Food Program is sounding the alarm over the looming prospect of famine. Already, a large majority of Nigerians (86 percent) lack access to a safely managed source of potable water.

In northeastern Nigeria, food and other relief is provided almost entirely by UN agencies and some 150 Nigerian and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Yet their personnel are under attack from Boko Haram and other jihadi organizations who accuse aid workers of, among other things, "Christianizing" the indigenous Muslim population. The other bookend of humanitarian frustration is that relief workers credibly complain that their efforts are too often thwarted by the army and the police in the name of "security." At least some security operatives complain that humanitarian relief reaches jihadis.

Why does the ongoing tragedy in northern Nigeria—and indeed much of the rest of the Sahel—attract so little attention in the developed world? Part of the answer is that the Sahel and northern Nigeria are far away. Few Americans have a personal link to it, unlike the large number that are invested in Israel and Palestine in one way or another. Many, perhaps most, Americans are convinced that what happens in Israel and Palestine directly affects U.S. interests. Further, issues in the conflict in northern Nigeria and the Sahel, in many ways a civil war within Islam, are obscure to twenty-first-century Americans. Popular media coverage is also limited: for a long time, media access to the war zone has been inhibited both by jihadis and the security services. "Compassion fatigue" in the aftermath of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria also plays a role.

Whatever the reasons, the bottom line is that the ongoing tragedy in the Sahel and northern Nigeria merits more humanitarian attention from the United States than it receives.

How many prominent Hausa people in Nigerian do you know from independence till now?
Why do you think this is so in spite that the Hausa's are at least 70% of the population of the Hausa-Fulani "symbiosis"?
I ignore your questions, because they are what you do, thinking a Nigerian has never met Hausa people or been up North to see for oneself how Hausas are not educated so they can be easily exploited and unable to rebel. It is precisely the same trick employed in the Garden of Eden to deceive and enslave until Eve decided to disbelieve and used her own senses to find out for herself if it is indeed true that on the day that she eats she shall surely die or not by plucking the fruit of the tree of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil and eating it only to find it good for gaining wisdom and opening eyes and that she did not surely die on the day that she ate it but freed herself from the dominance of slavery!

You yourself call it "dominance", but you want to try to convince me that Hausas are happy with being dominated.
