The library in my home town needs a new roof. |
Maks27:Lol! Though I guess no harm in double asking. |
obixcel:I wonder why. Is it because diversity and Black Lives Matter after all, perhaps? The investigation uncovered that there hasn’t been a Black member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the organization responsible for the awards, in at least two decades; in the following weeks, it emerged that former HFPA president Philip Berk had referred to Black Lives Matter in an email as a “racist hate movement.” |
Cornpop:Yeah, my hamas. I gave birth to them just tomorrow, and its not as if the other side did anything to them. Israel claimed the assassinations of senior militants and pounded both military and residential areas across Gaza, the coastal enclave inhabited by roughly two million Palestinians. More than 50 Palestinians including at least 14 children have been killed, according to Gaza health authorities, since the hostilities intensified a few days ago, and in Israel the death toll reached at least seven people including a 6-year-old. |
Maks27:Do let me know if you get it working. I hear its a good workhorse. |
Everybody is not a thief! Your father never stole anything and neither did your dear mother, so please stop talking nonsense. It is a silly excuse thieves use to justify their stealing! I am glad this crook got caught. Oh. And birds can not carry a kilogram of cocaine. |
What lens is attached? Does it happen with other lenses? Cleaned the battery contacts? Cleaned the lens contacts? |
benalvino2:You don't know UK. Christians found it difficult to impose Christianity in UK when they were a majority but you think Muslims will be a majority and impose Islam on Britain, lol, when even the majority of Muslims in Britain are having British liberalism programmed into them so they oppose this supposed forced Islam first. Guess its not easy for you to understand the melting pot of Islam created by diverse Muslims from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Libya, Mali, Israel, Palestine, Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, China, you get my gist already etc or should I go on, and that's not yet adding the diverse various other religions in the UK pot. You really should go study the very critical English education system and learn what we call Religious Studies in our curriculum. You'd be impressed if you are not a religious bigot. |
Cornpop:And how is that point relevant to me who says even preaching on London streets is for stupid people? Do some people not come on here ignorantly yelling the nword in just about every sentence? Do you see me behaving ignorantly like such people? If not, why would I go and be ignorant anywhere in the name of freedom of speech where such freedom does not exist? Would you suggest I go and be gay there too? |
benalvino2:"If", benalvino, but you've hopefully heard the one about beggars and horses, but just in case you havent, here you go. If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. If turnips were watches, I'd wear one by my side. If "ifs" and "ands" were pots and pans, There'd be no work for tinkers' hands. |
basilico:Why would I do a stupid thing like that when even standing on the streets of London preaching Christianity will get me funny looks? For your information, I think people standing on the street preaching Christianity or any religion are stupid and I bet you've never done it in your life anywhere because you just do not seem that stupid, I believe. Feel free to prove me wrong however with photographic evidence or a video of you preaching on any street please. |
benalvino2:Not only has Sharia no place in UK, Sharia does not exist in UK, and some riffraff on a corner of a London street will get their ass kicked by the locals and anyone else who disagrees with them as soon as they are noticed by anyone apart from CNN! Just the thought of anyone telling me I can not drink where I want in UK apart from in an after consultation lawfully designated no drinking zone is laughable. UK is not lawless like that. |
benalvino2:Yeah, what we are doing, but I'm sure you'd limit our doing to the corner we are doing it on and not the whole of London or UK! You do not know what Sharia is, that's why you see it everywhere. In UK, a man and woman in a relationship who live together are considered married under common law and not because of Sharia. Please educate yourself! A sharia marriage has no bearing on personal status under UK law. The Muslim Arbitration Tribunal has no jurisdiction on criminal matters but can attempt reconciliation between spouses. |
benalvino2:Some small group can stand on a corner and say whatever they want. Even I can gather a few of my friends and stand in a corner too, but even if we are all Nigerians, I bet you'd say we are mad instead of what you are saying here. |
benalvino2:Londoners will be tell you no one can come and be imposing Sharia on them, especially not in East London where Whitechapel is. It still has a large Jewish community, and the Dickensian locals never left, so some pumped up Sharia introducing person would face loads of opposition you will find once you step out of the narrative cnn is promoting to you about a blue sky on a cloudy day! |
benalvino2:You must think we are stupid and ignorant or you are posting lies because we Londoners just elected a Muslim as Mayor for a second term where only 14% are Muslims. Funny though that you who'd yell cnn lies would post this crap from cnn! benalvino2:
|
benalvino2:You never even follow the source to read what I posted from a more reliable and less biased https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/state-of-israel-proclaimed so I wonder how you can say the above with a straight face and expect me to take your word for it benalvino2! You must know by now that the mind of buda is not open to lies and junk! |
benalvino2:You seriously want me to accept the view of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs as the truth, benal? Somehow, I want to believe you are smarter than this, so please tell me what you would say to me if I presented an opinion from the Palestinian Center for Public Affairs. |
benalvino2:How Palestine lost their land by opposing Israel for grabbing more of their land, you mean. What right does the United Nation have for partitioning the land in the first place? Do you think United Nations can come and partition land for Biafra and Nigeria will just say okay? That said, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Partition_Plan_for_Palestine?wprov=sfla1 |
benalvino2:This did not start in 1948, but as far back as the late 1800s after the Great War! Its in the link I gave you, and I just can not bother if you refuse to read! Modern Israel has its origins in the Zionism movement, established in the late 19th century by Jews in the Russian Empire who called for the establishment of a territorial Jewish state after enduring persecution. In 1896, Jewish-Austrian journalist Theodor Herzl published an influential political pamphlet called The Jewish State, which argued that the establishment of a Jewish state was the only way of protecting Jews from anti-Semitism.Fact is, in the 1940s, some people arrived in the land known as Palestine and began to claim it as their own, and cells rose up to oppose them and you now label them terrorist as if you expected them to just say "okay, you have the land" when you were terrorising them to take it off them! The same was said of Mandela's ANC when they too were fighting to take their land back. Or do you not see the similarities? By the way, have you let that sidekick of yours know you wrongly claimed voter id was already law in UK? I did mention you so you don't miss it. For your information, we voted on May 6. No id was required. |
Nostradamus1:They understand. They just want to refuse to accept it is true because it contradicts what they want to believe. Its the same way they refuse to eat of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil despite reading that Adam and Eve ate it and their eyes opened and they found it good for gaining wisdom and freed themselves from slavery and became self employed and lived for 800 or so years after eating it, because they believe they will die on the day they eat it. They fear to use their senses like Christ taught them to and therefore remain enslaved to their ignorance. |
I'll rephrase your question first. Forgive me. Do I think we Nigerians can make our nation Nigeria better than it is? The answer is yes, Nigerian me can evolve to be better than I currently am doing. I just need to be less corrupt than I am, and less ignorant than I am, and more diligent at doing what I do, and cleaner too, and less hateful of others and much less stupid, and if I become a better Nigerian person than I currently am, my Nigeria will be much better too. It's like on here. If I behave better, Nairaland will be a better place to communicate with one another and build something we can all be more proud of. I just need to evolve from tearing things apart to building things up. |
benalvino2:The Palestinians owned the land that is now being disputed! The israelis are stealing more and more of it off them by the day!
|
benalvino2:You obviously have not read that even Abraham, the so called first Jewish settler, bought a piece of land off the original settlers, so I can't quite understand how the buyer is an original settler. benalvino2:"Statehood" (country, is the now accepted word by the way), is a western concept imposed on you so you think everywhere must have been one. There are those arguing that Nigeria is not a "state" for the same reason that it was imposed. As for Hamas, a simple read will educate you on how they evolved from organisations opposing the new state of Israel's land grabbing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Hamas |
benalvino2:It is not a good read since it says nothing about the creation of modern Israel! Try this instead https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/state-of-israel-proclaimed Perhaps you'd understand how those who've owned a land for close to two thousand years might not want some usurpers using the Torah as land title. |
