I was talking about court openings that occurred during the time of Obama. Mitch McConnell led Senate refused hearings for the judges because they control the Senate. The opening did not occur during Trump nor if Hillary had won. The opening belonged to Obama.

I never said there was a law that says you cannot a court openings that occurred one day to the end of an administration, what I am saying is that it is bad faith to say you cannot screen judges 1 year to elections because it is not to your advantage and then turn around and say there is no law that says you cannot fill an opening within 3 weeks of an election.

The other side too will be in majority one day and they too will pay back in bad faith.
"Belong to", "bad faith", like you were born tomorrow and your opponents are going to heaven angels, lol.

And no, you don't need to become like them. Just learn from Stacy Abrams and beat them fair and square so much I can still hear them wailing.

By God, I so love that woman!

That is a very dangerous proposition. You are now telling me that if a party ever achieve super majority, then that party is justified to use that super majority to act in bad faith. One can now appreciate the Republican party under Ronald Reagan who had super majority and controlled all branches of government, but never alienated or cheated the democrats.
One lesson from the last four years is not every potus is Saint Ronald Reagan and hoping they will be is just plain naivete.

Wake up please, I beg you.

False! The Republicans under Mitch McConnell stole a Democrat Supreme Court opening and handed it over to Trump with an excuse that it was too close to elections even though the elections was 1 year away. But they confirmed a Supreme Court opening just 3 weeks to elections.

When you cheat because you are in power, your opponent would also cheat when they get to power. The cycle continues until the whole system crashes.
Sorry, not cheating at all. Next time, get the numbers so you can't be 'cheated'.

That should make you appreciate more what was done in Georgia.

If they wanted to pack it and make it more the current 9,Trump would have done it.. Yes,They filled Ruth's opening within weeks but it is still within the ambit of the current 9 justices as long as Trump was still president.

There is no law that stated the opening cannot be filled within an election year despite the GOP saying otherwise during Obama's own. Even if an opening comes up after the election that Trump lost,he can still fill the seat.

I don't support packing, but I support age and term limits.
They didn't need to pack it then, and they did nothing wrong filling Ruth, but I still don't trust them going forward.

They'll say they are pre-empting the Dems when they do and God said they should. But as I said, my bias and prejudice makes me think that way.

After the plates become clearly visible at the gas station, the cops could have just run his plate number instead of jumping out of their vehicles with guns pulled and creating a tense atmosphere.

Yes,The reform should be age or term limits something like its done in Nigeria. I don't 100% support packing it. but term and age limit should be done. In that regard, Dems and Republicans won't be able to play full blown politics with the supreme court.
Don't delude yourself. Where there's a will, and there will always be a will, a way will be found to play full blown politics with the supreme court.

In fact (and do note its an opinion based on my prejudice and distrust of the right), I will not be surprised if the Republicans pack the Supreme Court. For their self righteous antiabortion's sake, they'll claim God told them to.

The question is, Why did Yah sacrifice his son to save the world instead of killing Satan with the wave of his hand? This isn't about a sacrifice but an extermination of an evil Deity. Why would Yah send Satan to the pits of Hell instead of destroying him? I have always questioned this as well. Food for thought.
Funny question. And one that only a person who can not read should be asking, or someone who refuses to accept the evidence before their eyes but would rather believe what they are told or read without the use of their own mind to discern.

Did Yah sacrifice his son, or did ignorant people murder their teacher and then lie in a book that some God sent him to die for their sins?

A repeal of the amendments might not be possible but full background checks and mental evaluation for potential gun owners can be done. Make it harder for sick people to get guns.

Also consider that those countries do not have a border with a cartel run country so getting illegal guns will be harder than in US
US supplies the cartel with more guns than cartel supplies US!

Repeal might be impossible but an amendment to achieve the same result isn't, given a few decades.

Not only Nigeria, Even Mecca or Vatican if they have more guns than people will be like America

Do you know how many times people get very angry at the next person and after a cold beer they just forget it and move on?
Its part of life to be very angry and to calm down later.
Do you know how many times people play soccer or any sport, felt robbed and feel like killing the other team or referee, but later they just calm down and move on with life

But when guns are in the mix there are some people we all have met in life who have explosive personalities, Imagine that one with a gun
Which is why, wisely, those nations you mentioned do not have a Second Amendment, and why America should consider an amendment to the Second Amendment. It will only get worse if they don't.

This would be my last reply to you ever.

You must know that i am not minimizing racism in the US. Racism is very alive and kicking in the US.
I am very surprised that nobody here have posted the very racist interview tucker carlson gave yesterday. It was almost like he was quoting hitler's mein kempt word for word.
Tucker carlson and fox have now succeeded in normalizing and mainstreaming far right extremism such that people are no longer shocked when they do it.

Yesterday, tucker boldly adopted the very white supremacist "replacement theory" and very few people budged about this because they are so used to it. This is a racist theory adopted by hitler's nazism being streamlined and you have black coons like yourself cheering him on when his beliefs run counter to your own welfare and safety.
He said he can't be believed so we don't bother much, but why didn't you post it?

Q is claimed to be an extra-dimensional being of unknown origin who is believed to possess immeasurable power over time, space, the laws of physics, and the reality of magas themself, being capable of altering it to its whim. Despite Q's supposed vast knowledge and experience spanning alleged untold eons (and much to the exasperation of the object(s) of his obsession), Q is not above practical jokes for Q's own personal amusement, for a Machiavellian and manipulative purpose, or to prove a point. Q is said to be almost omnipotent and is continually evasive regarding true motivations and peddles an alternate dimension accessible only to the Q and their "invited" guests. The nature of the realm is said to be beyond the comprehension of "lesser beings" such as rational humans, therefore it is shown to irrational humans only in ways they can understand; e.g., a run-down gas station in the 'middle of nowhere'.

There is. A growing lack of trust between the police and the citizenry fuelled by other social problems like lack of good mental health care, lack of good social safety nets not to even add on the prevalence of guns. Its a gordian knot wrapping itself tighter with each event like this.
That's the reason for the defund the police brigade, to spend the money on "good mental health care and good social safety nets", but we all know how that narrative is easily twisted by the endemic lack of trust between many of both races that go decades and centuries deep.

A tightening gordian knot indeed.

Going by this video, I don't know what happened after this, but going by what I watched, I don't blame the police officers in this instance.
One could see that the black veteran severely tested their patience.
You all have to understand that being a police officer in a fully armed country is very risky and many instances like these have lead to unnecessary deaths of the officers.

Unlike britain or canada, america has a staggering gun culture and drug culture that encourages the ownership of guns and many at times, many of these gun owners being high or drunk leading to soo many highly charged and tense situations.
The vet could have easily obeyed orders at the first instance and clarify whatever situation caught their attention.

Furthermore, this has nothing to do with race\racism. The vet could easily have also been white and it will still be tensed. We sometimes shouldn't be quick to attach the racism card to every single incident between white and black people.
Where I live they'd be blamed for assuming guilt and danger and for creating a situation by not being civil, but I guess the right to carry guns makes cops see people as guilty and dangerous until proven otherwise over there.

Shows the society has problems, to me.

My question is, why is it that majority of those in the police killing blacks are white cops?
You should not get emotional on NL. You just won't survive long if you do.

White cops kill blacks because of their bias and blatant disregard for blacks and the fact that they've been getting away with it for years. I'm glad Black lives now matter a bit more, and the more black votes the more black will matter.

Gladly. This ended well with the Lieutenant not getting shot. Good idea he also pulled over into a well lit location.

One would need a manual to act/behave around US police officers if pulled over for a simple traffic stop.

First, pulled over for no plates, but they were on the car and visible to the cop before he pulled his gun.

How would a layman reach for his seatbelt without knowing that he needs to inform the officer of what he is about to do with his hands in the air. The officers could think one is reaching for a weapon with the tense atmosphere.

For how long we are going to borrow?
For as long as I, first, and you and every other Nigerian refuses to elect leaders who will stop borrowing of course.

However, and this is the tricky part. We must be careful what we wish for, because when we stop borrowing, government will have less money to pay wages and subsidise petrol and embark on projects that pump money into the economy and in order to have any money at all to pay themselves even, government will raise taxes on us the people, and hardship like we have never experienced before will follow the austerity measures that will be in place, and we will all go out on the streets to demonstrate and riot against the hardship and then government will start to borrow again to alleviate that hardship and merrygorounds will be merrygorounds I suppose.

I guess your next question might be "what should we do then", but let me not saju ẹleẹẹdẹ pẹ ẹde rẹ.

Besides, someone's dying advise to me was, "forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing", and it is very obvious to me that this particular person does not know what he talks about.
