Two Ugandan TV presenters have been fired after being caught in a sextape scandal. The TV personalities identified as Anne Nakawombe and Kevin Kaija, who both presented the programmes ‘Login’ and ‘Seeds of gold’ on the local TV station NTV, were seen having sex atop a table, blissfully unaware of the hidden camera filming them. The pair took their time stripping and finally making love to what appeared to be a pornographic video playing (Kevin can be seen adjusting the volume on the TV). Anne and Kevin have now been fired by their employers, after the tape made its way online. Here’s a statement the management released following the incident: “NTV Management announces that Anne Nakawombe and Kevin Kaija have ceased being employees of the station owing to gross misconduct. Anne has been the presenter of Login while Kevin worked on the Seeds of Gold program as a producer. Vivian Gist this reports that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), has arrested Chike Nnaemeka, AkA Dr. Justified Isioma Nnaemeka Emerald, for conspiracy and obtaining about 6.7million naira by false pretence . Nnaemeka, who claimed to be a gynaecologist, reportedly collected the money, from Ani Nkechi Joy, an employee of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, after she was introduced to him by one of her classmates at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. He collected from many requests . The suspect, who also claimed to be an orphan and the only Prince of Ihekpe Kingdom in Ogwuashi-Uku, Delta State, had a traditional wedding with him on the 6th day of June, 2015. The victim said: ‘‘During the wedding preparation, Justified brought up so many stories bordering on cultural issues that I or anyone from my family is not supposed to visit his home town until after my marriage. He also said that the tradition of his place as a lone Prince demands that I sponsor every financial aspect of the traditional marriage, but that he would refund me to the last one Naira I spent.” The suspect claimed to have properties that both Zenith Bank Plc and Diamond Bank Plc were interested in. The suspect was said to have shown the complainant some documents to the properties, while also requesting her to provide some money to complete the process. She gave him some money after assurance to refund her came from him. On the 23rd day of December, 2015 the suspect left the house on the pretence that he was going to sign the agreement papers with the respective banks to finalize the transaction. He, however, did not return home until December 29, 2015. The complainant, said the suspect allegedly claimed that the lawyer to the bank had died and that his lawyer would not allow anyone else to sign the papers. The complainant became suspicious and made efforts to inquire about the suspect’s real identity and what he does for a living . The complainant also alleged that the suspect stole the sum of 3000 thousand dollars belonging to her boss, and allegedly said that the Chief Priest of his village said it was a ghost that stole the money. Investigation has revealed that the suspect is married to another woman who had three children for him. He also lied that his mother is dead. I was having my lunch in a restaurant in Accra this afternoon, when A friend started a discussion of what some of our female Nigerian students in Ghana have turned themselves into. I could not agree more. While the parents spend lots of money to ensure their daughters are comfortable and graduate with flying colours, their children have a different agenda. There was this particular case of a young girl whose mother rented a 2-bedroom flat for her in Accra. My friend, said news just got to him this week, that this student slept with 5(five) guys at the same time and was still begging for more. She is always high on hard drugs. And, the mother, back in Nigeria will be boasting of her daughter, who is studying in Ghana. Oh, so pathetic. Sadly to say, many of these young girls have become international prostitutes and seriously hooked on drugs. I mean what I am saying. And many people in Accra can bear me witness. Some of the mushroom universities attended by the students lack hostel facilities and the students are forced to rent accomodation thereby according them too much privacy which they are not matured enough to handle. This issues also involves our boys. Some have become drug addicts, school dropouts and they still collect school fees from their parents. Parents need to pay regular unexpected visit to their children and monitor them via phone calls at odd hours to find out where they are and what they are up to. If you a parent, you must never cease to pray for your children. And, if you are not sure of child’s behaviour, keep him or her close to you. Please parents, is even hard enough to expect a good child no to spoil and derail in Ghana (too far away from parental advices and checks) let alone to a child that is worldly already. It is crazy here and Universities here are not really what they are advertized to be. She is ranked number 13 in the 200 m women's category. Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specializes in long jumping and short sprints. I no fit shout my brothers and sister, in fact this is technically my first time of witnessing accident and am involved in it. It was really like magic when it happened and i can't even say i know when it happened but i know how it happened and meehnn it happened so fast and a blink of an eye is nothing. Hmm, we entered this Siena from Ajah - Lagos going to Abeokuta in Ogun state and immediately we moved, i noticed that this man is engaging the breaks too fast and he is moving too fast too. We began to warn him and suffice to say, all of us in the vehicle became his enemies. I quickly committed myself and every occupant of the car in the hand of God just like i always do each time i travel. He then followed a route i have not followed before, maybe he was trying to make the journey faster and my brother, i have not seen this kind of express road before. It was so tiny that two cars coming in opposite direction cannot freely pass each other except one will take his hand off the road a little bit. And yet this foolish driver is still speeding. We keep shouting on him, he will reduce the speed and in the next seconds, he will increase it again. And the road had a lot of sharp corners and i must tell you, all this trailer drivers are nothing but ogboni people and angels of death. Even on a standard express, trailers will not even give you chance to over take them let alone to the one coming in an opposite direction. As our driver was speeding at a sharp corner, we suddenly saw this trailer speeding and coming directly opposite us. He didnt even shift a little bit so that we can pass, he would have crushed us and climbed over us and believe me, he would have continued his journey without blinking an eye. For God to have it, our driver turned the stiring and we found ourselves in the bush struggling to control the car and for some minutes, the car now came to a stop. It was only the work of God that nobody was hurt at all. Even though we had to improvise and all of us including the driver had to climb out of the car from the boot of the car. This accident you are seeing the pics happened on Thursday last week and i have not been able to shake it of, hence am writing this today. Please help me thank God for sparing our life. Former Super Eagles play maker, Daniel Amokachi is a proud father after his twin sons Nazim and Kalim Amokachi completed a move to Turkish champions, Besiktas. He shared this info on his official Twitter handle (@FrenzziiiBull). Amokachi, announcing the deal for his 20-year old sons posted on Twitter: “Two sons – one proud father. Thanks to @JSHercules and @besiktas for giving us a chance. #beşiktaş #hercules” The financial details of the deal have not been made public, both players were pictured in Besiktas jersey in an official unveiling after they signed a one-year contract with their new club. According to reports, the twins flew to Istanbul to undergo one-week trial with the U21 team of Besiktas in the end of July, after which they signed contracts with the club following sterling performances during the trial. After a successful career for Amokachi, both of his sons will be hoping to follow suit and surpass their father’s record who from 1996 to 1999, played 77 matches for Besiktas in which he struck 19 goals. This time, a Nigerian guy, identified as Damilare, who claims to have studied Mechanical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and lives in Abuja was caught, beaten and stripped naked for allegedly stealing in Ghana. It was marvelous and colorful in UK. London saw the first ever African Pride Awards take place on Sunday the 31st of July 2016 at the highbrow venue of Cafe De Paris. The award ceremony which was organised by AfricaUnplugged and Therapy Entertainment LTD was solely set up to honour Africans making incredible strides in their different industries in the UK and the African diaspora community at large. The night thoroughly showcased the African culture in all its splendour with top entertainers from comedy, music and dance thrilling the guests. The event was hosted by popular UK broadcasters Adesope Olajide and Amanda Star of Factory78, Vox Africa TV, BenTV and Beat FM respectively. The gala night was well attended with over 350 guest from celebrities from the world of sport and the movers and shakers of the UK entertainment industry with stars such as Chris Eubank Jnr, African boxing champion Larry Ekundayo, Capital extras Tim Westwood and Wild N Out"s Kojo the comedian amongst the attendees. amazing performances from Coco Mbassi, Bantu Arts African Dancers, ITV's Lateef Lovejoy to name a few. But something caught my eyes though and am not gonna do justice to this post if i fail to point it out. I though we are celebrating Africa's Pride right? I don't know how to blog about this without getting angry. What is wrong with this state called Abia State? Especially the heart of the State called Aba. What a pathetic state this city has. And they irony of this whole things is that the government of Abia State makes millions of naira from this town because is the commercial base of Abia State. Were will I stop and were will I start? I spend almost 21 years in this town and no matter what the government of the day did or did not, they state of the city remains the same. Will i talk about the the fact that their is practically no drainage system in place in this city or should i talk about that fact that the city is now nicknamed "refuse dump of the nation"? People keep talking about how good the present government is and all that but it is clear that all those praise are merely influenced by money. Others wise, i don't see why the financial heart of the nation has been left to rotten and get worst everyday. I really feel pity for the people in this city called Aba as well as the people visiting Ariaria International Market everyday. Rio 2016 have really started on the wrong note i must tell you. Playing a wrong National Anthem for a country Like Nigeria? I sincerely hope the Zikka Virus didn't affect the person in that control room ....lol. Why am i even laughing cuz this is not a laughing matter. After the wrong Nigerian National anthem was played, Nigerians took to twitter to express their disappointment and displeasure at the organizers of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
