The wedding was one of the greatest portharcourt has experienced in recent years according to eyewitness as so many dignitaries were present.

Well Nigerians jointly with Nigerian army and Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC) marked the 2016 Olympic Day with a 6.5km walk in Abuja on Saturday, July 2.

Mr Buratai also called on Nigerians to lead a healthy lifestyle and exercise daily to stay fit and prolong their lives. The event was attended by military men, heads of sports from various organisations and heads of sports federations as well as sportsmen and women.

US may screen foreign traveller’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to know what you are saying, USA Today reports. Be rest assured that "may" here is in context because i can assure you that this information has been in place and adhered to strictly.

The US government’s new proposal to curb terrorism involves snooping around social media accounts of foreign travelers. The new proposal to ask visitors and non-citizens for their “social media identifier”could help border agents “investigate” your background without having to go to the NSA, Customs and Border Protection, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), believes having this “identifier” could help it find “possible nefarious activity and connections.”

According to the Federal Register, if the plan is approved following a public consultation process that ends on August 22, those traveling under either the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) or visa waiver programs under Form I-94W would have the option of answering, “Please enter information associated with your online presence – Provider/Platform – Social media identifier,”

The social media information would be gathered in addition to the numerous database checks, fingerprinting, and face-to-interviews that already take place. How it would be processed is not revealed in the proposal and providing the information would be voluntary.

Timothy Addigi Terfa design and build a tractor which he described as a as a 100% Nigerian. He even gave a name to his invention — Ijodo — meaning labour in the Tiv language. If he can manufacture these tractor en masse and for less cost, it can be a real helper in Nigeria, where the majority of agriculture-related jobs are done manually because of costly farm machinery.

Mr Terfa wants to inspire his compatriots: “My greatest desire is that someone out there will be encouraged and motivated to do something with the ideas they have to make Nigeria better.” He is an engineer by profession and he was trained abroad.

I sincerely hope we have a foresighted government that can imbibe in great inventions like this

Dora Nkem Akunyili was the Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control of Nigeria (NAFDAC) and Nigerian Minister of Information and Communications from 2008 to 2010.

I pray her daughter will be a fraction of this noble woman is in this world because she is a model. She saved thousands of lives if not millions.

A 31-year-old man believed to have burnt to death in December last year walked into the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. The man was said to have been killed in an apparent car accident in Krugersdorp on December 16, police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst said. News 24 reports that his name is being withheld while police investigate the matter.

He is facing a charge of fraud in the Krugersdorp court, and a charge of murder in a court in the Free State. The man allegedly went to the Free State after the accident, which led to the question whose body was found at the accident scene.

The Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court postponed the matter to July 6. In a similar vein, a woman named Noela Rukundo, who was allegedly dead, shocked everyone by visiting her own funeral just few minutes before the ceremony was over. Until her return to the venue of her burial, Rukundo’s friends and family did not know the truth behind her reported death.

It happens that five days ago, her husband, Balenga Kalala had ordered a team of hit men to kill Rukundo, his partner of 10 years. Unfortunately for Balenga, the assassins told him they did, but they did not kill her; they even got him to pay an extra few thousand dollars for carrying out the crime.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday said transactions done through electronic channels and Pointof-Sales (PoS) terminals are not subject to daily limit as settlement for the cards shall continue to be with interbank funds.

However, the maximum limit for naira debit and credit cards utilization shall be US$50,000.00 per annum. In addition, daily cash withdrawal limit is pegged at US$300.00 per person per day, and subject to monthly rendition of returns by Authorised Dealer banks and card issuers to the CBN.

does it mean you can transact up-to $2m via posin a day or that is still subject to $300 per day.

Cbn is becoming a problem to this country.

Because of the ongoing Euro 2016, most of us forgot that Copa America is going on too which ended yesterday being Sunday 26th June, 2016.

Well, Chile and Argentina played the Copa America Centenario final on Sunday night. After full time, it was goalless draw and yet after entered extra time, still 0-0 then it went into penalty kicks. Lionel Messi played the first penalty kick for Argentina but missed. The game ended 4-2 in favour of Chile.

Lionel Messi could not contain his emotions after he missed his penalty kick and Argentina fell to Chile in the final of the Copa America Centenario. He kept crying and his team mates kept consoling him.

The shocker of the evening is not even the Argentina loosen the Copa America, it was Messi's announcement of his intention to retire from international football after the Copa America lose.

Yes the say police is your friend and yet I have not met any police who is friendly to me unless money change hands. And am not kidding. In fact na God save me from there hands this afternoon. They threaten me tire.

I am under the impression that any branch or arm of the government that it not cooperating with the government at the center is a threat to the country. I could be wrong but like i said that is my impression. Or is it true? If it is, how come members of judicial branch of the government are openly declaring their intentions to not cooperate with the FG?

At a press briefing at the National Assembly yesterday June 22nd, PDP senators announced that they will cease to cooperate with the APC led Federal government after the continuous victimization of its members by anti-graft agency, EFCC.

Things are happening ..... lol Kenya police have arrested the man pictured above who has been dressing up as a female prostitute and allegedly stealing from men in bars in Mumais, Kenya.

The man, who refers to himself as ‘Grace’, was arrested after he was seduced by a man at a local bar in the area, who proceeded to book a room at a lodging where he discovered that he wasn’t a woman.

Sister “Grace” had to run into a police station after a mob wanted to lynch him. Kenyan police authority however said that he would be set free because the man who he was about to dupe, has not come forward to lodge a complaint at the station.

It is no news now that Ekiti state governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has been an enemy to the present government especially to Mr. President himself. On hearing the arrival of Mr. President few hours ago, he told the President Mohammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop harassing his government by threatening functionaries of the government with arrest and looking for how his election was funded, declaring that; “my election was not funded with public fund and President Buhari and his APC should also tell Nigerians how their own elections were funded.”

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Governor Fayose said; “Certain top functionaries of the Ekiti State government and some important members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, and some associates of mine, have now been pencilled down for arrest and indefinite detention by the EFCC under the guise of investigating the funds spent by the PDP on the June 21, 2014 governorship election and the Presidential election.”

He disclosed that “some politicians from Ekiti State, including an Ekiti born Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and self-professed human rights activist and a Special Adviser to the Vice President are involved in the plot being coordinated through the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Attorney General of the Federation.”

He said the game plan was to make those to be arrested get detained indefinitely, forced them to make statements incriminating him, while at the same time feeding the public with orchestrated fake reports, using their usual media organs. The governor however advised those behind the plot “to keep their gun power dry and should not be in a hurry, but rather, wait till the end of my tenure in 2018. He challenged the EFCC to tell Nigerians why it was silent on the many petitions submitted to it against APC leaders, especially former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
