Comedian AY's first movie as a producer, '30 Days In Atlanta' which was directed by Robert Peters, has been officially recognized by the 2017 Guinness World Records as one of the films with the highest domestic gross in the territories of Bollywood, Nollywood and Hollywood. The record breaking movies listed are 'PK' from India, '30 Days In Atlanta' from Nigeria and 'Star Wars' From The United States of America.

A 57-year-old US citizen was found dead with a rope around his neck in a hotel room in the Lekki area of Lagos state. The American, Charles Carlson, had checked into Ellyx Vile Hotel on African Line, Lekki Phase 1, on Monday before the incident happened. The police has begun investigation into the incident.

The deceased was found by hotel workers who became concerned when he failed to show up for breakfast on Tuesday, and also failed to pick calls on the hotel intercom. Upon getting to his room, which had to be forced upon, he was found dead hanging on a rope. The incident was thereafter reported at the Maroko Police Division which came to evacuate the corpse.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, who confirmed the death, said the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, had directed operatives to unravel the mysteries around his death. She said, “The matter was reported to the police by the manager of the hotel, identified as Vincent Owunke. The guest, Carlson, an American, it was observed did not pick calls to the intercom in his room and he did not come out for breakfast.

“The police are investigating a case of sudden and unnatural death. The American was found motionless and hanged himself with a rope close to the door. The CP, Owoseni, has directed the case to be transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation.”

A herbalist, Tunde Banjo, and an Alfa, Nurudeen Adeniyi, have been arrested by the Ogun state Police Command for allegedly killing a 16-year-old girl identified as Olayinka in Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state for ritual purposes Another person, Tobi Ogunkoya was also apprehended. Ogunkoya is believed to be an accomplice to the two men.

The acting Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the story said it got wind of the situation when one Serifat Adebanjo reported to the police in Ago-Iwoye about the abduction of Olayinka and accused Tobi Ogunkoya of being involved.

The police quickly acted on the information, as it apprehended Tobi Ogunkoya, who confessed that Olayinka was in the custody of Tunde Banjo in Ijebu-Igbo. According to Oyeyemi, Tobi, took the police to the home of Tunde Banjo in Ijebu-Igbo, where both men were arrested. The police also recovered two fresh human hearts and a live tortoise from them.

Oyeyemi said Tunde has also confessed to the Police that the girl had since been killed, her breasts and other vital organs harvested while her remains were thrown into Ogbere river, Ogun State.

“The police have arrested Tunde Banjo, a herbalist, and Nurudeen Adeniyi, an Alfa in Ijebu-Igbo. Banjo said they have killed the girl and dumped her body inside Ogbere river. The police is working to retrieve the corpse. Two human hearts and one live tortoise were also recovered from the suspects,” Oyeyemi said.

It is no news that Nigerians are known to give credence to certificate and don't give a damn on skills. Before a private organization can employ you this days, you most have certificate upon certificate.

Surprisingly, we cannot say the same to our government. "I mean ask Mr. President". Imagine our sports minister and ICT minister just to mention but few has no business being in the position they are cuz they know nothing about the office.

Even in the face of war, The Nigerian Army has won the heart of many people with the establishment of a school for children at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp which is located in Bama town in Borno State. These soldiers (especially the ones in the war regions) have continued to impress Nigerians with their braveness and tactical thoughts. Though we can't say same to those that remain in the peace areas of the country and yet causing choas by beating up civilians on will.

The temporary school which was constructed using military tents was built by troops of 21 Brigade, 7 Division Nigerian Army. READ ALSO: Massive child trafficking scam uncovered in IDP camps In a statement by Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman who is the spokesperson of the army, he said the school “comprised 6 military tents in which soldiers not on essential duty served as teachers. In addition, some of the IDPs who were teachers before their displacement also teach in the school.”

The school has over 3,000 children while there is also a section for adult education for women. The project caught the eye of the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) which also assisted the Brigade with 2 additional tents and school bags for the pupils “while Borno State Urban Education deployed a Principal to assist in running of the school.”

Mr Toby Lanzer who is the UN assistant secretary-general and the regional humanitarian coordinator for the Sahel commended the Nigerian army for the project. He gave this commendation during the recently held World Humanitarian Day which he celebrated with the IDPs in the school.

The reason for seccession of the Igbo's has not been clearly defined. The fruitless agitations is fuelled by hate and jealousy of other region's political stability and doggedness. Their political miscalculations in the last elections gave birth to the recent biafra calls headed by the disgruntled element called Nnamdi kanu who was feeding fat on the Biafran sentiment before been apprehended. The British saw a potential in our diversity before merging us together as a united Nigeria and every sane mind believes the future of the Igbo's lie in nigeria. What we need is a united south and we will wrestle political power away from Northern monopoly who sees power as their birth right. Hollywood action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger was there to launch the festival which saw contestants flexed their perfectly-toned bodies in front of a number of judges for the bodybuilding competition. He also reminded them of the need to balance mind and body.
