The Inspector-General of Police AG. IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni, in company of the Force management team on 2nd August, 2016, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele at the CBN Headquarters, Abuja.

The IGP appreciated the warm reception accorded him and his team during the visit. In his remarks, he emphasized the determination of the Nigeria Police Force to continue to partner with the CBN. He also affirmed the commitment of the Force to providing adequate security for the CBN, its staff and Customers across the Nation. The IGP solicited the support and cooperation of the Central Bank of Nigeria for the Force in the discharge of its statutory duties.

In his response, the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele congratulated the IGP on his well deserved appointment. He thanked the Inspector-General of Police for providing security for the CBN and Deposit money Banks across the country. He appreciated the gesture of the visit and assured him of continuous cooperation and supportive collaboration between the two agencies. He stated further that he would resuscitate the Inter-Agency committee between the CBN and Deposit Money Banks to come up with a proposal on providing logistics and other supports for the Force.

See Love - Man Hospitalized After Waiting 10 Days At Airport For Chinese Online Lover

Being rejected by women is weird i must say and worst thing is flying from a different continent to meet her and she didn't even have the courtesy to show up. This is the story of a 41 years old man. The Dutch man, Alexander Pieter Cirk was taken to the hospital for exhaustion after waiting 10 days in a Chinese airport to meet his online girlfriend named Zhang. Cirk met his 26-year-old girlfriend on an app two months before and decided to fly to visit her. But she did not come to meet him at the airport, BBC reported.

The 26-year-old girlfriend, Zhang told Chinese media she thought it was a joke. She said she was in a different province getting plastic surgery done and had her phone off when Cirk came to visit.

She further told Hunan TV:

“We had advanced our romantic relationship but later he seemed a little callous towards me. “One day he sent me a photo of air tickets abruptly and I thought it was a joke. He didn't contact me later.”

Mr Cirk reportedly flew back to the Netherlands shortly after being treated in hospital. Despite the failed first meeting Ms Zhang is said to be willing to meet Cirk after his recovery and continue their relationship.

Imo State University is in shock again. One of their law student was short dead this afternoon at IMSU extension gate around 1:45 pm. He was short by an unknown gun men believed to be cult members.

Nigeria police have taken away the lifeless body of the student.

Former Military President of Nigeria, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, said that Buhari's government was overthrown in 1985 because there was frustration in the society under his regime according to an article on News Times. Babangida stated this in an interview he granted to a team from Zero Tolerance (ZT), a quarterly magazine published by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Full excerpt from the interview....

The circumstances surrounding your emergence as military president in 1985, some people believe that it was more of self-preservation than national interest. Can you tell us what happened?

First of all, we planned a coup towards the end of 1983 that truncated the democratically elected government and the military government came in January 1984. Then that government also suffered the same fate as the democratic government when the military staged one of the finest coup in this country, because there was no blood, nothing was lost, smooth and everybody was treated with the most civility and our administration came. When we came in August of 1985 there was a plan to kick us out in December 1985, it didn’t work, they went into operation again in 1990. I think the country was going through a phase at that time, it’s a developing country and we always had one reason or the other for doing what we did at that time.

But the talk at that time was that there was a rift between you and Buhari and he wanted to dismiss you from the Army.

No, let me give you a lesson today. A coup or change comes about if there is frustration in the society. Just get that right. There was frustration in the society between 1984 to 1985. The ground was fertile for a coup. It wasn’t fertile, thanks be to God, in December, 1985 when the first attempt on me was made. Neither was it fertile in April 1990 when the second attempt was made and we had the support of all of you sitting down here. You write, you analyze, you talk, and you demonstrated. It was not unusual then to hear, in the case of the democratically elected government in1983, a common phrase was ‘the worst military regime is better than this government’. So you were giving us the impetus to stage a coup. We are not dummies. If we didn’t have the support of all of you, we wouldn’t venture into it.

Reports by NAN says thirteen inmates escaped in fresh jailbreak recorded at Koton Karfe prison in Kogi in the early hours of today being Saturday 30th July 2016. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered from a reliable source that the incident happened at about 7am when the inmates forcefully brought down the wall of the prison.

The all male prison facility which was inaugurated in 2014 has the capacity to accommodate 180 inmates. However, NAN gathered that it was accommodating 263 inmates as at the time of the jailbreak, Saturday. They also gathered that one of the escaped inmates was re-arrested almost immediately by security agents.

NAN recalls that this was the third jailbreak recorded in Koton Karfe as the old prison facility witnessed similar jailbreaks in 2010 and 2013. In previous jailbreaks 132 inmates escaped from the prison and majority were awaiting trials. It was gathered that Comptroller–General of the Nigeria Prison Service immediately sent a representative to Koton Karfe to assess the situation.

The State’s Controller of Prison, Musa Maza, who would have shed more light on the incident, did not pick several calls made to his mobile telephone line.

It seems is all jungle justice all over the world right now, as long as the lay enforcement agents are not sighted around the scene of a crime. A customer who ordered fried noodles from a restaurant in Changsha, Hunan province, China on July 25th, forced the restaurant's owner to eat a cockroach he said he found in his food.

After the customer found the supposed cockroach, he told the restaurant owner to either eat the cockroach or pay him 5,000 yuan (£569). The owner ate the cockroach instead. But the customer wasn't a man of his word, as he kept demanding money from the owner, adding that he needed to be compensated financially for the bad experience he had, but the owner refused to give in to the customer's demands.

According to the owner and other customers, the restaurant had been running for 11 years and had never encountered problems like this. Some workers at the restaurant claimed that they thought they were being blackmailed by the customer. One worker even fought tears while she talked to reporters who came to interview them, saying she was upset that her boss had been forced to eat the insect.

Triple MG co-founder and singer, Iyanya has relieved his long term manager, business partner and close friend, Ubi Franklin from being his manager and he has now gone on to ink a deal with a management company as part of plans to get his new label started.

Iyanya announced on Wednesday that he has signed up with a management company called Temple Management Company. He expressed that Ubi Franklin remains his brother and they both look forward to towing new paths in their careers.

Iyanya and Ubi are rumored to be at loggerheads although they have publicly denied that is the case.

Unknown gunmen have abducted a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) branch in Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Vanguard reports. The unnamed man of God was said to have been taken inside the church on Sunday, July 24, while preparing for workers meeting.

It was gathered that the kidnappers had entered the church pretending to be members who came to worship before pulling guns on the pastor. One of the church members identified as Williams, said the cleric was abducted around 7a.m, explaining that the workers meeting usually holds before the main service of the day.

“He was busy preparing for the meeting, when suddenly some people came in dressed in beautiful attire and they were taken for members who had come to worship. It was not until they pulled out guns before it dawned on us that they are militants,” he said. According to a resident, Isiaka Disu, kidnapping in the area has become rampant in the last one year, urging the Lagos State government to step up security in the axis.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force Ogun State division has arrested Mr. Francis Taiwo, the father of the Taiwo Korede, the 9 year old boy who was chained for weeks at the Celestial Church of Christ, key of Joy Parish Ajiwo in Ogun state.

Apparently, Francis Taiwo is a pastor at the church and knew about his son being chained and without food for weeks. He had been on the run since NSCDC officials forcefully went to the church to rescue his son last Friday July 22nd.

Francis will be charged to court soon.

What punishment can possibly be enough for this man or should i say fool?

People of Wurno LGA has been thrown into chaotic condition as a late night flood last Thursday destroyed no fewer than 585 houses in seven towns of Wurno Local Government of Sokoto State according to a report by NAN. The Chairman of the local government council, Alhaji Abdulkadir Jelani, disclosed this in Wurno town, Headquarters of the local government on Saturday, when he addressed newsmen.

Jelani said that the tragedy occurred as a result of a heavy downpour.

He listed the affected towns as Wurno, Laka, Barayar Zaki, Tambogarkar Daji,Koliyal Kwargaba and Tunga. “The problem was aggravated by the blockage of drainage in the affected town and their environs,’’ he said. The chairman said that the victims were now squatting with neighbours, relatives and other good Samaritans.

Jelani said that although there was no loss of any lives, the flood had destroyed many farm produce believed to be worth millions of Naira. They include onions, garlic, rice, wheat and beans, among others following the submerging of hundreds of farmlands. Jelani said that the local government had set up a 13-man committee to find out the remote and immediate causes of the disaster.

”It will also assess the extent of damage caused by the flood as well as recommend the form of assistance to be rendered to the victims. I am also appealing to the state government, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other donor agencies to come to the immediate aid of the victims,” he said.

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command have arrested 22 teenagers for robbery, stealing and cultism. The 22 teenagers, amongst whom are four female, were arrested for allegedly involved in separate incidences of robbery, stealing and cultism around Agege and its environs.

The two leaders of the first gang, which consist of eight members, Babatunde, 15 and Tayo, 15, were arrested on last Thursday, at about 11:30 p.m. in Mulero, Agege for assaulting and robbing one Aladegbo Abidemi with an axe, and snatching her Blackberry Z10. The suspects were reported to have given out other members of the gang the following day. Other members of the gang arrested included: Matthew, 18; Sakiru, 16; Ganiyu,13; Reliwan, 15; Ibrahim, 15 and Kudus, 15.

According to their victim, Aladegbo Abidemi, female, 26, “I was coming from work. I decided to pass through Mulero to link the closest bus stop around 10:00 p.m. I sensed my phone ringing and I picked it. Just few seconds while on the call, I noticed some young boys about 12 swarming like bees towards me.

I ran but I fell down. They rough handled me, threatened me with an axe and took my phone. They retreated and abandoned me inside the gutter. A couple of minutes after standing up, I saw RRS patrol vehicle. I reported the incident and showed them the direction they went. They gave them hot chase, and arrested them with my phone”. The second gang, consisting of 10 male and four females were picked-up at Abattoir on Monday at about 02:35 am, after three of them had earlier been arrested in Computer Village, Ikeja, for stealing mobile phones.

It was gathered that the trio, Sulaimon, 13; Godwin, 19 and Sunkanmi, 15, entered a phone stall and pretended they wanted to buy a phone. They walked out again after inspecting the phone only for the stall owner to realise that two phones were missing. They were however caught on their way going. It was learnt that during interrogation at the RRS’ headquarters, three of them owned up to be members of Eiye Confraternity.

The names of other gang members arrested included: Taiwo, 17; Rotimi, 17; Lateef, 19; Tunde, 17; Bolawatife, 15; kayode, 15; Olamide ,15. Other members of the gang who are female included: Olamide, 19; Agnes, 14; Ayo, 15 and Ope, 16. All the suspects have been transferred to the State Police Command, Ikeja, for further investigations.

There are strong indications that peace and reconciliation was under way between the Senator Oluremi Tinubu and her colleague, Senator Dino Melaye, as Senate president, Bukola Saraki has intervened.

According to Vanguard, Saraki’s intervention was among others, to nip in the bud, concering the lingering crisis between the two senators of the same political party. A source said that in his desirous move to end the war of words, the Senate president on Tuesday, July 19, met with both Tinubu and Melaye separately for a period of two hours each.

Earlier today, a four-man delegation of the Lagos state lawmakers stormed the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Abuja lambasting Saraki and Ekwereadum of a conspiracy of silence. The House of Assembly members came with a strong-worded petition which they submitted to the national chairman of APC Chief John Odigie-Oyegun. The delegation house called for immediate sanctions to be meted on Dino Melaye. The state legislators said their demand became vital due to purported derogatory statements made by Melaye against Senator Tinubu.

Tinubu’s wife writes police Tinubu’s wife, who represents the Lagos central senatorial district in the Senate, a few days wrote a letter to the Senate president and the national chairman of the APC concerning the improper behaviour of Melaye during the closed door of the Nigerian Senate. Her letters, separately delivered to Saraki, and APC chairman, express’s worry that the Senate had not taken action to address Melaye’s threat to her.

Militants in Nigeria are really expanding their coast in order to get the Federal Government to listen to them. Suspected militants have attacked ‎a gas pipeline at Ogijo community in Ogun state. According to residents of the community, some men who disguised as officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), came into their community on Tuesday July 12th pretending to carry out repairs on the gas pipeline.‎

After they left, a loud explosion was heard from the gas pipeline later at night, causing members of the community to run for safety.

The affected pipeline is said to serve an 11.4 distribution line for some companies in Ikorodu, Lagos state. Commenting on the attack, the divisional police officer (DPO) of Ogijo police station, Mohammed Tijani, said investigation into the attack is ongoing.

It is still shocking to the doctors, nurses and metrons in Hope Hospital, Edo State as a woman brought in with labor pain delivers a strange being. The incident happened on 11th July, 2016 at Hope Hospital, Jettu in Edo state. Reports says that the newborn baby looks like a frog. He was born with its head almost totally sunk into the upper part of the body and with extraordinarily large eyeballs literally popping out of the eye-sockets.

Strange things keep happening in Nigeria lately. Is it a sign? If it is, a sign for what? The people of Azare in Katagun area of Bauchi state were shocked recently as a local woman reportedly gave birth to a pair of slippers. Some time ago in the ancient town of Ila Orangun, Osun state another woman delivered the Holy Bible.

He was quoted as saying he would beat and impregnate his fellow Senator, Oluremi Tinubu who is also the wife of the National APC leader, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

I don't know how true this report is, but you have to see what is happening in twitter write now over this issue.
