Former minister of Niger Delta affairs, Godsday Orubebe, has been spotted in a Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) in Abuja, where he is facing money laundering charges.

Needless to say, Orubebe have been a subject of scrutiny and have been on the limelight for his roll during the gubernatorial election were he out-rightly countered the INEC chairman and accused him of bias which could have caused a mayhem in Nigeria.

Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, has explained that it was only recently she understood why her ‘husband’ left her. Reflecting back on her relationship, the mother of two spoke with New Telegraph, saying she now understands that her man just wanted her out of his life which was why he always wanted her to stay late at locations.

According to her, she almost gave up her happiness, education, everything for love. She said, “Because we are celebrities, a lot of searchlights are being beamed on us and it makes things look as if we are different from other people. “You know, giving up my happiness, education and everything for love, all yielded nothing but I am grateful to God that I was able to get my feet back on track.”

Responding to why most female celebrities are unable to keep their homes, Biodun said,”Let me just quickly chip in something, I was not legally married. I have never been married. Well, I would say it’s because we are in the limelight.

It is time Nigerians start adhering to the stipulated laws of the state in their activities and not be crying fowl that the country is not good when they are the ones doing it and making the cities look unplanned by encroaching into governmental space when building.

That it is a church building doesn't exempt it from being demolished once it goes against the guide or violated the state laws.

Nobody is exempted or should be accorded special treatment in the government ...

that is assuming things are done the right way. hmmmmmm my dear, when the government of the day favours you, you can even claim a main road as your land and build ur structure.

Pro-Biafran protesters have blocked the Niger bridge linking Anambra and Delta state as they protest the continuous unwarranted detention of their leader and the director of Radio Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu was arrested on October 19th by the Federal government.

My dear, this is market. Take for instance you go to the market to purchase a product and you know nothing about it, you are simply at the mercy of the seller.

Just do simple reseach and know the prize first. It will save you some cash. The buyer is always the victim and the mumu-logy in the the whole stuff.

I went to buy a generator one day and the seller told me that the gen set is 178k. Is a very big gen set and that prize is not out of range though but my generator engineer have already told me that the gen set is 75k to 80k but if I see the german made, it should be around 150-180k. but I can't see it here.

So here is thia guy telling me is german and is 178k. Trust me, I prized him 50k....lol, the man change face, but finally I but it for 79k.

Nigerian youths under the aegis of Youth Concerns Realisation Initiative (YCRI) have filed a suit, asking the court to stop President Muhammadu Buhari from inaugurating ministers. The Punch reports that the members of the group are protesting against the non-inclusion of youths among the 36 ministers.

Speaking with journalist on Monday, November 2, in Abuja, Blessing Luka, the media officer of the initiative, regretted that the Buhari-led administration does not intend to give Nigerian youths a chance. According to her, politicians has formed the habit of using youths during elections and dumping them afterwards.

“We at YCRI have filed an action in suit No FHC/ABJ/773/2015. We expected to see youths among the president’s 36 nominees sent to the Senate but we were disappointed to see no youth in the list. “For this reason, we have gone to court to ask for an injunction to restrain the president from inaugurating them until they give the youths a sense of belonging.

“This matter was filed on Friday October 30, 2015. What we are simply asking is that they (ministers-designate) should not be inaugurated or assigned portfolios,” the statement read. The media officer insisted that youths who form the bulk of Nigeria’s population should be involved into the decision-making process.

Meanwhile, the Democratic People’s Congress has called on President Buhari to immediately swear in his ministers as Nigerians can’t wait longer. According to Olusegun Peters, the party’s national chairman, incoming ministers should imbibe team spirit in carrying out their constitutional duties. The exercise was a renewed effort to sanitise the drug distribution system and rid the state of the menace of fake and counterfeit drugs. The Lagos state Task Force on Counterfeit and Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods has shut about 33 illegal pharmacies and patent medicine shops in Ojo area of the state.

According to a release signed by Mrs Adeola Salako, Director of Information, Lagos state Ministry of Health, fake drugs worth millions of Naira were also mopped up during the exercise. The exercise was a renewed effort to sanitise the drug distribution system and rid the state of the menace of fake and counterfeit drugs. The release stated that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Health Care, Dr Olufemi Onanuga, disclosed this on Monday while reviewing the report of the recent raid in Lagos.
