Thankfully, I don't get to deal with landlords directly anymore. I had an unregistered Tokunbo car parked in the compound that I intended using for transportation business and I also had a car I was using for daily waka so two cars at that time.

The compound could contain 7 cars in total at that time and I only parked 2 when the incident happened.

He stood in centre of the compound where Neighbors could hear what he was saying and then he started shouting.

I will summarize what he said below

- a tenant can have only one car.
- he had a dream where robbers came and shot the man that had his flat closest to my car.
- the robbers demanded for the car keys without shooting me but shot other co tenants in other flats.
- he gave me 2 days to remove the unregistered car.

I had to remove one of the cars and overtime had to park my cars (that I wanted to sell or use for transportation) at a nearby hotel.

The man later bought 2 cars same time and parked 3 cars in total in his compound.

Anyway it’s his house.

How many days will it take bolt to rectify there bolt commission after the payment is been paid and all necessary things is been sent to them.

You should have enquired before paying. A lot of drivers have paid up for days now and still the payment has not reflected with both Bolt and Uber offices closed.

I just can’t imagine Bolt and Uber refusing to open their offices to avoid their staff getting infected with COVID 19 but opening the app up so drivers can risk their lives. No empathy, no palliatives, no bonus payment. Nothing

The only issue you will have is it's underpowered because of the puny engine. don't expect any great acceleration or try stunt driving it through traffic. for the love of God, please don't over take trailer uphill and when doing so use Gear 3 incase it is manual

This is why I will never buy one again.

Bought one neat looking naija used Corrolla for 500k. Had to sell off after 3 weeks for 300k, thats after dashing over 150k to mechanics and rewires.(The idiots were annoyed that I sold it They turned me to customer)

So we were all young boys fresh out of school employed in the same office...So we kinda made a bet one day on who will be the first to buy a car...

That's how this my colleague on top say he wan win bet of 5k went and bought one Nigerian used Peugeot 307 for 350k...He told us he didn't buy it to win the bet...but we knew he bought it to win the bet and carry his girlfriend upandan

Anyway, the car started displaying Ogbanje symptoms almost immediately...first off, the car radio was dead and nothing the guy did could bring it back to life...Baba was using earpiece and his phone to listen to music while driving

One day when he decided to buy us lunch in celebration of his new car, all the car windows refused to wind up and it was raining heavily...We had to go help him source those thick nylon yam sellers use to cover their wares in the rain.. That's how four young lawyers were busy covering car with nylon inside heavy rain outside Jevniks Abuja...People were just passing and shaking their heads at us....Till now, one of the waiters there still looks at me with amusement whenever I go there to eat

Next thing...Car will just be on its own and refuse to Start...It stranded bros and his girlfriend along Gwagwalada Express one evening...and he could not even lock it and leave as the windows refused to wind up ...I had to help him carry waterproof to where the car packed up to cover the car before he could leave the area ..since then Bros drives around with big nylon in his boot..

Bros has changed brain box, fuel pump and all what not...He calls Mechanics and rewires more times than he calls his girlfriend..in fact, he has them on speed dial in case car strands him anywhere..in fact he doesn't go out with the car at night or when it is raining or for any journey more than 50 kilometres....he has been complaining recently that the car slips out of gear and won't enter gear until the car is parked for a full day...Wahala eveeywhere

That car has made me really terrified of Peugeot 307s...

Bought a Hummer H2 Jeep because of the hype, big, luxurious and V8 engine, thought the world of it and was convinced it is the best thing after ewa agoyin. Lo and behold, it is the slowest car I have ever driven, very big that I can maneuver through some space and don't let me get started with parking space that one nah wahala

I abandoned it in my garage and bought a Bentley continental flying Spur V12 GT from the money I made doing a nasty job. White on cream, voice assistance, driving sensor assist, 21inch chrome wheels, custom built finger ID door unlock. Ignition keycard. The summary of the story is that the Bentley is to heavy and not very smooth in driving, the understeer at high speed is violation of the right of a driver, customization is zero as it comes with special suspension parts.
Both vehicles are in my garage in Need4speedMW gathering dust

My Worst Car Was A Ford Explorer I Bought Toks From A Friend. It Was My First Suv And The Car Showed Me Pepper. The First Problem Started After About 3weeks When I Went To Church And The Car Started Having Problem Changing To Second Gear, I Got My First Ford Mechanic And Parted With 25k And The Gear Looked Like It Was Ok Again Only For Me To Take It To My Viewing Center To Watch Ball And The Car Refused To Enter Drive Again, I Had To Use Reverse And Get Home After Waiting Till 11pm. I Spent Money Repairing The Gear And The Gear Started Working Again But Not Entering Reverse. Finally I Closed My Eyes And Bought Tok Gear For Around 130k Minus Money I Spent Moving The Gear From Ladipo To Akute With Mechanics O. After They Fixed It I Traveled With It And Got The Biggest Disgrace Of My Life, I Used 3 Days To Drive From Owerri To Lagos Back. I Later Sold It To Ladipo Boys For 100k And Am Still Been Owed 10k. As For That My So Called Friend Who Sold That Curse To Me, Hmm

It's now something to laugh about o. That car gave me the phobia I have for driving till date. Like, I'm always scared of something coming up. My fuel doesn't go below half tank just because of fear. My Nissan will disgrace me when I don baff-up and decide to go show off to friends. Na push dem go help me push am for road after e don cause hold-up. Just typing alone sef dey make me laugh. My first car was a Mitsubishi Gallant probably 1998 or earlier model. I was just 23yrs old and wanted a car badly just for show. It took like forever for me to understand changing gear. Like I was a disaster when it comes to driving. My small brain friend adviced I get an authomatic car and I was presented with a Nissan Maxima by a sugar coated cheat of a man for sale. I was just 24yrs, I paid 550k. Na die remain make I die. After 2months, it was like living in a mechanic workshop. Today kickstarter problem, tomorrow ignition and so on. Till vehicle engined kukuma knocked. Ha! Nissan Maxima suffer me o. It took me 8 years to finally settle for Toyota. I drive now cos i cant afford to employ a driver, gush! I hate driving!

Well this is one I almost made but na God save me, I saw an hybrid Honda Civic 2006 here on nairaland for 100k, my plan was to buy and change to conventional engine based on mechanic recommendations for 500k, luckily I met a guy who did same... He said he had spend up to 700k and still issue with electrical etc

You see my brother, when it comes to engine overhauling or rebuilding. I have a serious phobia for it.

It’s really crazy when you save up or get a loan and end up buying a car you really wish you hadn’t most likely after driving it for a short period.

Okay so far I have personally purchased 6 vehicles over the years and I only regret buying 1.

My wife’s birthday was coming up back in 2012 and I had about 600k to buy her a present. Since she didn’t have a car yet, I decided to go buy a Nigerian used car.

I searched online and found a car I think here on Nairaland. A brown Toyota Corolla 2001. It was looking neat and all and was being used by a lady banker at eco bank, akin adesola. So since my office was close by I went to check and it looked “okay”. I checked out some basics, did a test drive and left. I paid I think the second day.

First two months the car was smooth as I went to Ibadan twice from Lagos with it. My wife used it lightly too as she wasn’t working at that time. Regular maintenance was done and all until one day I think around the 3 months after purchase.
I started the car and saw plenty white smoke behind. When my mechanic came he said the engine was previously ringed and plenty stories that didn’t touch.

I remember selling it off for 400k.
