The numbers of both Coronavirus infected people and death toll has been on the increase in the United States of America with Newyork having the highest numbers according to the “worldmeter” statistics below.

Surprisingly the death toll in the US was 73 as at March 15th 2020 and in less than two months it had skyrocketed to 65,782.

While we pray that the deceased rest in peace we cannot but imagine what our figures will look like in Nigeria in the next few months.

With the Nigerian government being lackadaisical to proactive localized testing, cash/ food palliatives and an effective crisis management framework, it is obvious that figures are going to soar in the coming weeks.

My personal advise to Nigerians is to adhere strictly to face-mask, hand-washing, sanitizers and general hygiene.

Whichever way it is, the reality is already here and we must pull through.

So I run/manage a fleet and once in 2 or 3 months have to change or recruit new drivers. So here are some weird experiences.

1) From my office I can see anyone approaching, so I see this guy wearing a hood coming. Who wears a good in this naija sun. Like 85% of his face is almost covered. He come in and am like bros, heat no catch u? He starts with plenty stories why he likes to "hood up" any we discuss and in BTW o had to attend to something. After about 3 mins, he signal to like " hurry up I gotta go". I had to let him go.

2) This other guy show up and I asked for his drivers page on both platforms. He passes his phone to me and I see a riders app running. So I said bro I think u opened the riders app. He starts to storyline me about uber dis, uber DAT.....so I searched his apps and this no drives app at all. I stare at him for like 5mins. All I could deduce was he expected to come in and pick car keys.

3) This guy was referred by some who saw my add online and while discussing I asked for his rating...he was like bros....hmmmm no be by rating ooo, I savi everything about the work. Sure I don't have a problem.....just tell me ur rating. He kept blabbing. So as street wet I don't tey, something just occurred to me.
...I said bro " Just tell even if its 1.4 or 1.5. I repeated it like 3 time so he could her the 1 part well. He was like " I am 1. oooo. I asked again 1.what? He said just 1. I just smiled. Interview is over. There's no 1.anything anywhere. He apparently has never been on the platform. I mean he could have just said he's new.

4) Due to different issues in this business I ask my questions based on my perception and "street intuition". It has never failed me. This guy comes in I take a glance am him and and after about 3 questions I asked.....bros you don't marry? (Not that it is important to me in anyway at the moment). He said yes. He's been married for 5 years? OK cool. What's ur wife's phone number. Na WHR kasala burst. He was like 08023... oh sorry 09056 oor sorry 0803.... He just couldn't provide a number. Well I told him....Relax bro, wen you get home ask your wife for her nber and send it to me.....things happen in this job. Later I called all the nbers he provided as guarantors on his form. All nbers unavailable....

Now I see why the US visa interview is strictly a " face me I face you one". Boys are not smiling in naija o.

According to him, they have consistently debited money from his account for over a month now, even when he doesn't use their service.

He has now threatened to sue after he woke up to another debit alert from them this morning, even after he removed his card and deleted the app.

I graduated in the year 2015 and did my NYSC in the year 2016 to 2017. Ever since, getting a job has been something else. Well, last year I took up a teaching job in a private school and the salary is around 26 thousand naira. I have been on it for a year now. I hardly have time for my self considering the number of classes and periods.

I recently got a job with Stanbic bank as a Direct sales agent (marketing) with a salary of about 50 thousand.
I am afraid of taking up the offer because of all these bank targets and how to meet up with the target. I am afraid let me not lose the job I have now and take up this offer and can't meet up with the target.

Pls those that have done this DSA job and others can do well to advise me and give me first hand experience and way of meeting target.

1. The distance of the bank branch to your house.
2. Do you really like marketing.? If No don't bother.
3. Do you have friends or relatives who will be willing to open accounts and give you deposits?
