Yes, Many people are very lazy. How do I know?

I got the contact of a fellow nairaland member who is on to MLM business around august in this forum, and to be candid, I started with zero naira byt today, I cash in a few thousands. For me to reciprocate this, I came here again, put up something about mlm and many contacted me. However, we finished the training, only one came back and showed interest. I thank God, she is doing well today.

I discover that people will rush a package with a price taq, but free things like this, they won't take it serious. These are programs people will demand huge amount of money from you and won't teach you the rudiments and your money will go down the drains....

Hard work pays my peoplepeople

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Top 10 Most Employable Qualities For Nigerian Graduates by butanep(m): 9:57am On Nov 30, 2015
xfire:
Of course, networking and getting to know/meet influential people is a valid way of getting jobs which is applicable everywhere in the world including Nigeria. That was clearly mentioned in my 4th point.
However, not having influential contacts is not enough reason for one to adopt fatalistic view about employment in Nigeria. One can still get a job without knowing anyone. I am a witness myself.
That being said, even the rich and influential still send their children to the best schools in the world despite the fact that they have all the connections in the world. Go and check the children of Obasanjo, Atiku and the rest. One of OBJ's daughter used to be a top engineering supervisor in one of the top oil companies in Nigeria before she went abroad to further her education. This is because there are other qualities that money and connection can not offer you.

Cheers....!
You nailed it here Xfire... I caught a big message there.

Nigerians has been fooled.

It is better to vote those without shoes than those without certificates.

Even in my small office, we meet weekly to make sure things are running smoothly and nobody is lagging behind not to talk about the largest nation in Africa.

bros! Hard truth!

There will get back to you in the year 2034.

Please if you can just start something or even start learning new stuff. Just give it a try but I know money will be the major problem but just start and please keep your pride as a graduate and learn from normal people! Just try and be like a child who want to learn from even the most unlearned people.

As in me! I learn some farming skill from common farmers and I'm really really proud to be called a farmer wink

And please don't let this WORD into ya mind (my mate is working, my mate is this, my mate is that)
This worlds is just like a virus that affect the MIND.

Everyboy has his own time and peek. So just keep moving on and strive to be someone better wink
That your statement is not encouraging. You can't tell what will happen, so don't be pessimistic.

You know me well.

I don't know you have sense like this from the other writeup.

Goodluck farmer. Nigeria is trending toward that sector now.

That is what kind of software and any other certification can u suggest we learn?
You can learn petrel or power log. It's the most common geological software used in industries.

Certification on safety and swinning is good for a start.

stolid:
How is any of these exploitation? Have they requested any fee from you? Even multinationals (like KPMG, and PWC) with more than three stages in their recruitment processes do not reimburse itinerary expenses and we do not question them, why then would you cast censures or feel entitled to one from a mere recruitment agency?

I understand it can be really tiring, and even disheartening when efforts eventually prove futile, but you won't know how much you can achieve if you don't even try. You think if you do not attend, other [perhaps even smarter] people won't?

Workforce or Sterling bank is not forcing anyone to attend any of these tests. You can choose to sit at home. However, when expressing our dissatisfaction, let's apply some tact in airing our opinions.

I wish those that made it the best.
Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.

Comparing KPMG and PWC with a contract staff in a bank. The former do pay for your logistics immediately you get employed but the latter doesn't care.

The cost of moving from one place to another to write test is getting too much. Unemployed graduates are complaining of not having sufficient funds and recruiting agent are busy making them spend so much for serial of test in different location. That is unethical.

Check how recruitment is done in foreign counties, you will appreciate the system. Nigeria always take things to the extreme...
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Graduate Trainee Opportunity In a Top Bank In Nigeria by butanep(m): 8:19pm On Nov 23, 2015
What is the problem with workfore? This is exploitation from unemployed/underemployed graduates in Nigeria. How will they expect graduate to be moving to and fro just to write common test when they won't pay back the money for T-fee? Is there anything wrong conducting the test on a particular day?

The worst part of it is that you can get a regret mail @ any junction thereby rendering your resources and energy in vein. Funny enough will be a position of a contract staff of 60-70k in area like lagos or ph. This is really nonsense.

If they like send me a success mail for another exam in lagos, I won't go again. The protocol and test is getting too much for a common bank job.

I rest my case...

The Op is very right. For those that keep saying the Op is lying, they don't know how the bank system runs.

When you keep breaching the rules directly or indirectly, they just ignore you till your cup get full. One morning you just come to work and the next thing is your sack letter.

If you are working in the bank, you need to be very smart and cleaver. The smarter you are, the longer your stay.
