Mindfulness: I don't support mistresses. I oppose the stupidity that women display when they attack other women who don't give a fvck about them but open their legs to their cheating husband a night later.
And I don't support infidelity, I support polygamy for those who want it.
And there is nothing inconsistent about it.
Being against violence and brutal methods such as the knocking off of teeth is nowhere near inconsistency. It's pure logic, not sentiments that are the result of insecurity and jealousy. Polygamy is brutal enough, dentures can solve broken teeth but the damage from polygamy? now that's the definition of life changing emotional brutality. |

Mindfulness: By the way Byvan03,
if you do Moses law then you must accept polygamy.
No beating up of second and third wives. Beating up second wives really? Won't but don't have problems with people that do. You come as second, I shift aside and make you the Ist, am a peace lover like that . |

Mindfulness: Religious folks as usual. Only accept what suits their needs. No surprises.
I am not a Christian. I don't form holy and then cherry-pick which commandments suit me best. You have to be faithful because marriage is holy but I don't have to turn the other cheek when someone hurts me.
So now you even support violence against mentally ill people? Good to know. Religious folks? You support mistresses, extol infidelity, why then do you think is wrong to hit back someone that initiated violence? See...even with no religion at all, you aren't far from the religious folks, same ol inconsistency and hypocrisy . You lost me there, I don't form holy either . Mentally ill people? You can twist the gist into Bantu knots, am sure you got the point fully. Ain't no turning of cheeks from this end. |

raumdeuter: The main question is why do some women initiate violence and don't expect any form of repercussions?
That's what byvan3 was saying.
The mantra is Men never touch a woman under any circumstance what of women don't touch a man regardless of how angry you get? You got my point totally! |
Family › Re: Can A Physically Abused Woman In A Marriage Work Things Out With Her Husband ? by byvan03: 6:45pm On Apr 24, 2016 |
raumdeuter: While I won't support knocking off her tooth but any man who slaps a woman even in that circumstances is considered an abuser and a wife beater
Every human should know that when you see a stronger person you don't attack him first. If you do, any response is fair game as long as you're not killed. If I slap Tyson and he knocks my whole dentition out its fair game. but women seem to believe they are immune from this fundamental law of not attacking first. A 5ft4 girl weighing 60kg would say she's angry and rain slaps on a man 6ft6 weighing 110kg and expect nothing to happen to her because she's a woman This is the point! Only a mad person will be bold enough to attack a stronger person. If you hate violence, don't start it. |

raumdeuter: You've not met any?
Check a video of a woman beating a man see the responses. Most would find it funny and make meme about it
Check another video of a man beating a woman and no one would find it funny and the man would be called names.
Example the reaction to Solange vs Jay z compared to Chris Brown vs Rihanna
If the reactions to two similar situations are different one of condemnation the other not so much what do we call that I really wish Jay - Z dished her just one, next time she will think twice before acting like a thug. |

Mindfulness: It's not about me. I don't drag people by their collars.
It is about your support of brutal retaliation methods. Knocking someone's teeth off is permanent damage. It is not normal to justify such methods. Especially when a man, who could do such because he is stronger, could free himself easily without inflicting such an injury.
It's Sunday Byvan, are you not a Christian, what happened to "turn the other cheek"? I am working with moses law, no turning of other cheek from this end . If one hates violence, the best is to keep the hands to oneself. Permanent damage? Dentures don finish for market? next time the person will know better. If a woman is fool*ish enough to start violence with a man, she better be wise enough to accept what comes with it. You can't decide for people how to retaliate when violence is meted on them . What happened, are you Christian now? Seriously a woman has to be unusually stup*id to do that , I don't think such a person will miss the teeth because she is just too crazy to notice . |

Mindfulness: You defend the position that someone should get their teeth knocked out for pulling on someone else's top? It is ok to cause lasting harm to someone's body in retaliation for a piece of cloth?
Are you not the one who also propagates the beating of mistresses?
Yes, you preach violence!
With all due respect, you should know better. Keep your hands to yourself if loosing your teeth bothers you, don't grab anybody by the collar and expect a hug. Don't dish violence, if you hate violence, simple! You should also know better not to raise your hand on a man when you lack the skills to face a combat you initiated. |

edwife: I tell you, probably. If we can have wives who buy properties with their siblings without the husband knowledge, then anything is possible. Or husbands with several wives scattered around all states in Nigeria yet the wife thinks she is her boo only , sampling him on all social media with the caption " My boo of life" . Some too hide properties from their wives, I just don't understand some marital issues sha. |

Never seen one, I see men buying cars for their wives, taking them around the world, spoiling them with the latest accessories( shoes,clothes,gadgets...) TooNoisy: Fantastic response. With the kind of questions some people ask, one must wonder if the average age of posters on Nairaland is 16. Each situation may be different but most times, the most sensible decision will be to buy the wife a car. How can a man watch his wife and kids entering bus or bike while he buys his mum a car. I will divorce such a man, he doesn't value the lives of his children nor does he know his priorities. He may not have even paid his children's school fees but he will go around boasting he bought his mum a car.
Anyway, it's just the kids and trolls on Nairaland asking foolish questions. Exactly, I don't believe a full grown adult will reason this way. |
Family › Re: Can A Physically Abused Woman In A Marriage Work Things Out With Her Husband ? by byvan03: 3:16pm On Apr 24, 2016 |
Mindfulness: You preach violence in its most ugly form. If a wife behaves like a thug, divorce her. It's simple. Knocking out someone's teeth is definitely not normal. And such a couple has no business being married. I am yet to see how such brutality has helped any marriage. I preach violence? Maybe there is a new meaning to preaching these days. If you dish violence, expect it in return, that's all I " preach ". |

I doubt a married man will ask this question, a car isn't a luxury or for show off . If your wife does the school runs, market, work and your mum is retired, won't common sense tell the man who needs the car more? Will you prefer your kids, maybe three or two on one bike with their mum, while your mum cruise around town attending weddings and burials? Except you will be available to pick and drop your wife and kids anywhere she wishes, then get your mum the car. |

Izen: Men who act like thugs don't get beat up. So I disagree with you, sorry Whatever a woman gets initiating violence on her husband is what she asked for. Yes , men don't get beaten because most women can't beat a man, so that's where leaving comes in. You cannot slap your husband and complain when he slaps you right back. If you hate violence on your person, don't initiate violence on others, simple! |

Mindfulness: What a sick way of solving problems. Anyway. To each their own. Yes, to each their own. If you can allow someone shove you around like a rag doll while you find a healthy way, every one won't because you said so. A wife should not act like a thug and expect Princess treatment. |

raumdeuter: There is a difference between real life and the facade everyone puts up here. Ask people who have been married for upwards of 30yrs whether at no point in time was there a physical altercation, appearance/suspicion of infidelity, exchange of caustic words in the entire 30yrs
Its only internet gangsters and fake people who would claim they would walk at every first instance.
If you ask the men they say all Nigerian girls are rude, loose, gold diggers etc ask them if your wife is one they say No, Ask if their sister is one they say No
Same thing ask the women they say all Naija men are abusers, unromantic, bullies, ask if their husband is one they'll say No, ask if their brother is, they'll say No,
So these terrible Naija men and women who are they married to? who are their sisters etc
Everyone in public eye has a perfect marriage, wait until you see what they are enduring in their house. Dont be surprised if Obama, has chopped slaps in his bedroom at least once before coming out to say "My fellow Americans"
One wise man who called marriage a competition of who forgives the other most knows what he was saying
Caveat: If there is a threat to your life in any relationship flee True, online is always perfect. |
