"This is the strongest team I have ever played in," Vieira told the News of the World.

"I had to turn the page on Arsenal and I've done that, now I feel I am in a team who have a great chance of going all the way.

"I had nine years at Arsenal but I felt like I needed to re-launch my career.

"When I came to Juventus I always knew I was coming to a side who would have the players to go far in the Champions League.

"I didn't ever feel confident we would win the trophy [at Arsenal], we never seemed to be complete enough, it's different at Juventus.

"I've no regrets about leaving Arsenal, it's proved to be a fantastic move for me and I'm sure there are better things to come."

LOLZ. FORZA JUVE!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Samuel Eto'o A Monkey? by c0dec(m): 4:39am On Mar 19, 2006
Clubs face being deducted three points for a first offence, six for a second and relegation for further offences, while member associations failing to implement them face being banned from international football for two years.

"Recent events have demonstrated there is a need for concerted action," said Fifa president Sepp Blatter.

"I have repeatedly stressed Fifa's and my firm personal stance against racism and discrimination."

Blatter stressed that Fifa would also introduce more severe measures "in order to kick this evil out of the beautiful game."

Cameroon international and Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has repeatedly been a victim of racist abuse in La Liga, and recently had to be dissauaded from walking off the pitch after receiving abuse during a game against Real Zaragoza - who were fined a desirory £6,000 by the Spanish Football Federation.

Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand also recently urged the football authorities to take a tougher stance against the problem, while French international Lilian Thuram gave a testimony to the Fifa meeting on Thursday.

Fifa spokesman Andreas Herren said: "The new rules take effect essentially as soon as we can notify the associations by way of a letter.

"It's not going to take a long time. It applies to all competitions throughout the world at any level. All matches of all types are covered."

Jose is not on Capello's level. it'll take him at least 7 league titles to match up to capello. Jose is just a lucky newbie in the world of coaching.

@Seun, as long as "GUY" is not a curse word or a bad word, I don't see why it should be disallowed. Why would you say the word has been overused? What then would you say about words like "the", "me", "you"? Haven't those ones been over-over-over used? huh
tell am oh. i could be conversating on a topic knowing fully well the g.u.y.s i'm speaking with are not boys. refering to them as boys - well some people can take that as being disrespectful. we are nigerians and you know respect is always an issue.

ProgrammingRe: Questions About UNIX OS by c0dec(m): 1:02pm On Mar 12, 2006
linux experience only

sbucareer:
The issues I cannot get my head around very quickly is the directory structure. I seem to understand most of them i.e. /home, /usr, / , the problem comes when I am installing application program. I find it very difficult to make a choice of the directory unlike windows most of the application is installed in c:\program files\, besides Unix is heavy on permission and file owner. What I'd like to know is where to install program so that every user can lunch or execute the application or general guidance to UNIX directory structure.
the filesystem varies slightly across linux distros and other unix platforms. coming from a mandrake & slackware background. like bashibazoo said, i would usually install apps (that don't have a default install path) to the /opt directory. but then most apps i install usually have a default install path which can be accessed by all users. i tend to install most of my apps from source (i just love optimisation flags).

sbucareer:
Also, can you shed lights on package installer utilities i.e. rpm, gunzip, etc and how to install application in Unix.
rpms are popular with red hat based distros, debs are popular with debian-based distros. slackware used a *tgz package which i more or a less a tarball of the binaries with install scripts. most source packages come in tarballs (tar.gz, tar.bz). install from source varies but it's usually along the lines of
- configure
- make
- make install
the problem with installing from source sometimes, is uninstalling it. you might want to check out a tool called checkinstall. if installing from source, this tool can be very handy. i used it with slackware then. instead of using "make install", using "checkinstall" can create a slackware, rpm or deb package. and uninstalling is trivial.

some other packaging systems are available some of which are specific to a distribution. eg. Gentoo. AbujaBoy, here's your cue.

ps: forgive any typos u may find - was in a hurry

tell them rich olly. it's all british media and hype. there are quality teams no doubt but the notion that it's the best league is the world is all media propaganda.

out of curiosity, when last has the english league produce a "world football of the year" or have they ever?

u can't even compare madrid's shocking defense to juve's. sure it'll be tough handling all those fast players you've got but we've got some of the best and experienced defenders at the moment.

on the other end. zlatan, trez, del piero, nedved, camoranesi, mutu. on their best days, how u wan take stop them?
the thing is most of you boys here don't follow serie a. you only read reports but come end of march, we'll emphasize why we are hailed as the best italian team, La Vecchia Signora!

Arsenal v Juventus Bye Bye Arsenal

I want milan out.

Inter should cope with both teams but this is the nerazzuri we're talking about - underachievers. but i'm sure they desperately want to win this beating us (Juve) on their way.

it'll be hard for benfica to knock out barca but it ain't impossible. go miccoli!
