those millions are tagged on them for teams like chelsea.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Club Football Transfers This Season by c0dec(m): 7:26pm On Jul 31, 2005
man utd are like juve in the transfer market. juve always look at home before looking abroad for other options.

it might help your league (e.g. the premiership) but it will eventually affect your national side). i don't like the idea of buying internationals from all over the solar system and then calling them an english side. the successful arsenal team was french. the current liverpool team is turning spanish. chelsea since the late 90s have always been mult-national. i guess thats why UEFA got pissed and added new CL rules restricting foreigners.
ComputersRe: What Made You Switch to Linux? by c0dec(m): 6:59pm On Jul 31, 2005
i switched back in 2001 because i wanted to try something new and because i love programming. linux is a programmer's heaven.

i still use windows to play 3d games. X isn't good enough yet.

"Chxta":
(I still wonder why some people say the Milan-Juve UCL Final 2 going to 3 seasons ago was boring).
the british and spanish media said so as compensation for their under-achievement.

and yes lordimpaq. zidane is bros.
we don't need kids on our team. we are not ajax. successful clubs shoudn't depend on kids.
Wrong!

ManU in the mid-90s after the era of Stone, Pallister and Ince. The only 'old men' there being Schmeichel, Cantona and Keane. Look where it got them...
in this world, there are rare exceptions like "maldini at 37 still playing tops" cheesy

"lordimpaq":
really so what did the "old men" do for your team now....

telll me apart from the scudetto
what have your young kids done for you? the FA Cup you robbed from Man Utd?

you shouldn't be asking me that question.

SportsRe: 2005/2006 UEFA Champions League by c0dec(op): 5:59pm On Jul 31, 2005
yeah. i agree too. then, it was truly the champions cup. then we also had the uefa cup and cup winner's cup

the uefa cup was really cool back then. it was something to win. then all of a sudden lennart johansson changed things a bit because of money and the proposed super league if i remember correctly.

@lordimpaq. sure this is football. anything can happen but in this case nothing will surprise me. villareal will be rated as the underdogs but i know they will win.
SportsRe: 2005/2006 UEFA Champions League by c0dec(op): 6:10pm On Jul 29, 2005
Celtic already lost 5 - 0 to Artmedia from Slovakia

"But it was not easy to win this way. A lot of the Celtic players are media stars but I hope they remember our name and the names of the [Artmedia] players after tonight." -- Artmedia coach Vladimir Weiss
cheesy

Not sure but i does anybody have an idea what the top-seeded teams will be?
so far i'm sure of milan and juve

Chxta tell them!

"dile":
c0dec, what do you people xpect to achieve with him, coz he was booted out and came for free, you guys felt like he was food from heaven, i think you people should reconsider.
mutu was a star in the serie a before he left for chelsea. that's why he's regarded highly. Also, he wasn't for free.

I guess u're just pissed we ripped u guys off a quality striker. come to think of it, chelsea don't have one quality striker. tongue
Sports2005/2006 UEFA Champions League by c0dec(op): 5:52pm On Jul 29, 2005
needless to say the CL has already started with prelims.

but now this is where it really gets interesting. the latest draws:

FC Basel v Werder Bremen
Artmedia Bratislava/Celtic v Partizan Belgrade/Sheriff
Shakhtar Donetsk v Inter Milan
Shelbourne/Steaua Bucuresti v Rosenborg
Manchester United v Debrecen/Hajduk Split
Malmo/Maccabi Haifa v Dynamo Kiev/FC Thun
Everton v Villarreal
FBK Kaunas/Liverpool v KF Tirana/CSKA Sofia
Sporting Lisbon v Udinese
Valerenga/FC Haka v Club Bruges
F91 Dudelange/Rapid Wien v Rabotnicki/Lokomotiv Moscow
Anderlecht/FH Neftchi v Slavia Prague
Anorthosis Famagusta/Trabzonspor v Rangers
Dinamo Tbilisi/Brondby v Ajax
Real Betis v Monaco
Wisla Krakow v Panathanaikos

i believe Inter shouldn't have any problem with aghahowa's boys.
i hope udinese makes it. honestly, i would have preferred sampdoria in the CL. i believe they would have maintained most of their squad. udinese on the other hand, let their coach, captain and a few others go.

another tough one is Betis vs. Monaco. damn!

everton? ha ha ha cheesy cheesy. the english thought they'd have 5 teams in the CL proper. ha!

Chxta. where u dey get these articles? cheesy

Bibi-2. that must be a fictional story. if he's actually your friend, try help the guy out there.

All you people that are in europe and are frowning at why people are trying to get out, i think you should come back here and spend the weekend with these desperate people.
for some here, nigeria rulez, for the majority it doesn't. people are suffering here and my friends, i believe that statement hasn't been as exaggerated as the blings and smiles on you, immigrants.

there are levels of suffering.

Anyway, i can't lie. my destiny isn't in this country simply because my passion can't blossom here. it will die. fine i know i can get a good job in 9ja but i also know i won't enjoy it.
SportsRe: Who Fills Patrick Vieira's Shoes? (After Arsenal -> Juventus Transfer) by c0dec(m): 5:18pm On Jul 29, 2005
cheeky.

beating liverpool is not the issue. sheva didn't beat pool and your arsenal couldn't even make it to the quarters.

reyes at 20m was still relatively an unknown. most people didn't hear about him till he joined arsenal.

buffon, zlatan, trez, del piero, tacchinardi, zidane, vieri, davids and more all came in to juve at young ages.

we don't need kids on our team. we are not ajax. successful clubs shoudn't depend on kids.

Trust me, the English league is boring.
grin

this is how i rank them:
1. Serie A
2. La Liga
3. Premiership

By the way, did you see the la liga derby at the nou camp.
Barca 3 Madrid 0
my cousin is a die-hard barca fan. that day was like the happiest i've ever seen of him
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Club Football Transfers This Season by c0dec(m): 9:46pm On Jul 28, 2005
no wahala. i was confused for a bit.

the other chelsea midfielders are ahead cos they have premiership experience and are all internationals (senior team).
SportsRe: Philippe Troussier, New Super Eagles Coach by c0dec(m): 6:56pm On Jul 27, 2005
no top-rate foreign coach will want to coach nigeria at this stage.

we have to qualify for the WC first.
SportsRe: Who Fills Patrick Vieira's Shoes? (After Arsenal -> Juventus Transfer) by c0dec(m): 6:38pm On Jul 27, 2005
dre901> ibrahimovich, mutu, trezeguet, del piero, zalayeta. these are the likes of sheva and adriano.

BTW, we proved we don't need adriano or sheva to win.

lordimpaq> i can't remember the last time there was a big name signing at arsenal. you guys keep buying cheap unknowns.

i'm not saying it's a bad idea or anything. i don't fancy the spending types like madrid, chelsea and inter.

juve makes big name signings at cheap prices.

does nairahost have a java-based ftp client?
SportsRe: Who Fills Patrick Vieira's Shoes? (After Arsenal -> Juventus Transfer) by c0dec(m): 5:52pm On Jul 26, 2005
dream on dre901. arsenal don't have the money or wit to sign schevchenko or adriano.
SportsRe: Philippe Troussier, New Super Eagles Coach by c0dec(m): 6:39pm On Jul 25, 2005
yeah the problme with NFA (and the nigerian govt.) is that they never look at situations in the long run. they are constantly always trying to find a short cut to everything.

good luck to troussier anyway and i hope we qualify.

well, if we don't qualify, it would hardly surprise me or any non-NFA nigerian and i believe it would be good for us in the long run.

Opera is still the fastest for me. In fact, there is no difference between Firefox and Opera. I use a Netscape Navigator 7.2; they are all fast.

Except MS Internet Explorer X.X
opera trades speed with compatibilty. i found out there a few pages i coudn't view with opera.

ever tried links
now that's speed.
SportsRe: Philippe Troussier, New Super Eagles Coach by c0dec(m): 6:07pm On Jul 25, 2005
Chxta. u dey yarn o.

the warning lights we there long before the WCQ started. we should have hired then not now. the NFA shoulda just waited till after the WC qualifiers for troussier.
I predict that if we fail to qualify, Troussier would get the boot.
