TV/MoviesRe: 'Naruto' Fever in Nigerian Universities by c0dec(m): 5:09pm On Aug 27, 2005
which of the naruto movies? the snow country one? i seen that. kakashi didn't do anything spectacular. my argument is that we don't know what itachi can do yet so u can't say kakashi reads fights better than itachi. for all i know, itachi has probably never been defeated.

as per sasori, sakura and chiyoba i haven't got to their fight yet. haven't really had much time on my hands.

Chxta, how fast is your connection?

how the hell did uefa seed these teams. big time under achievers, arsenal were among the top 8?!? well, i think it was a good draw for the italian teams. milan have it the hardest though. schalke and PSV won't go easy on them. i think udinese will spring up a surprise against barca.

bayern will be out for revenge against juve but nothing dey happen. we'll beat them home and away again. the other two teams are no-hopers.

i agree with most of Chxta's predictions but i think chelsea are favorites in their group. pool and betis would have to challenge for the 2nd spot.

man i can't wait for the tournament to start.
SportsRe: 2005/2006 UEFA Champions League by c0dec(op): 1:17pm On Aug 25, 2005
so:
inter
udinese
villareal
betis
man utd
liverpool
rangers
bremen
anderlecht

all qualify. i only saw the villareal vs everton game. riquelme! man whenever this guy touches the ball he gives me an erection (figuratively of course). this guy totally reminds me of zidane of old.

udinese beat lisbon 3-2. congrats to obodo. he'll be playing in the CL proper for the first time (i think).

the draws will be made today. i wonder who the top 8 seeded teams are. Chxta?
TV/MoviesRe: 'Naruto' Fever in Nigerian Universities by c0dec(m): 1:04pm On Aug 25, 2005
do u mean the kakashi vs. itachi fight during the gaara extraction?

nice fight. kakashi obviously learnt from his mistake from the first fight but i believe kakashi is still no match for itachi. itachi hasn't shown all his powers yet. i think i've already seen everything kakashi has to offer. he's still a great ninja though.

copy ninja!

I saw this happening when i heard about cassano's contract hold-up but i also feared mutu would leave. we can afford to sell off chiellini since we got balzaretti (though i prefer chiellini cos i don't know how good balzaretti is and i don't even know if he has serie a experience). but mutu?!? moggi has done it again. i was furious last season when miccoli left on the last day of the transfer window but this isn't as bad though cos i expected it.
personally, i would have preferred it if del piero left. but where? he is literally married to the club till death do them part. well, i happy cassano is coming. good news for juve.

let's just wait and see what will happen

Seun:
There's one exception - www.webmasterworld.com is one of the world's most popular forums. They do not allow signatures, avatars, or even links and yet they are so popular that they have 3 google representatives and one yahoo representative, and activities on the forum are regularly reported on news channels. How about that?
that site is for geeks. geeks dont care much about eye candy. normal people do.

avatars - distracting? huh i don't think so. avatars don't distract - they actually make things more interesting. why don't you start a poll here on nairaland and see for yourself. 85% of forums on the internet can't be wrong.

Seun, i dont' even see you having problems with your strict forum policies. if you don't like the avatar, u can ask the owner to remove it or u could do your thing and remove it yourself. grin

the forum would have default avatars. the users should not be allowed to upload any pics - they should just provide a link to the picture. this picture should have a maximum size and dimension limit. cool

man, with the anime i'm on 135 now but by next weekend i should be up to date.

with the manga, i can't remember where i'm now but it wasn't definite that gaara was dead. all i know is that the one-tail shukaku was drawn out of him and he is expected to die. but there was a glimmer of hope - that old woman - can't remember her name.

but that's where i stopped - maybe u are past that now, timmy.

damn!, gaara can't die yet.  sad

ps: those akatsuki guys are bad! but jiraiya go brush all of them.

was watching the game, then my uncle came over and preferred to watch the enyimba CL game. believe that!

out of respect for the man and my indifference to the english game, i just changed the channel. then came online to post this message.

before i left it was still goaless. chelsea had the edge. wonder what the score is now.

peace. cool
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Serie A is coming: A review of the Big 3 by c0dec(m): 5:05pm On Aug 21, 2005
missed the game. saw the highlights though.

we were denied a valid and splendid trezeguet goal. vieira hit the wood work. we had the best chances but this is football. our hapless chimenti let a cheap veron goal in.  angry

congratulations to inter and their fans but that'll be their last silverware this season.

i hope abbiati will do a better job till buffon recovers.

Nairaland GeneralRe: New Nairaland Features to Attract Your Friends? by c0dec(m): 5:01pm On Aug 21, 2005
avatars! this forum needs avatars! this is the only board i know without avatars. huh

avatars add more color and expresses more about an individual's personality. it's something that'll attract nigerians cos most nigerians like to show off. grin

i guess seun's response would be a typical programmers response - that the pics would slow down the page-loading but hell.... other forums have it. if a member's connection is slow, he/she should find and alternative.

cool

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Serie A is coming: A review of the Big 3 by c0dec(m): 6:34pm On Aug 16, 2005
you say they are hardly ever surprises. i don't know what u mean by that. if u mean surprises as in italian champion, OK. but if u mean league positions (1st, 2nd, 3rd), there are always other teams threatning. for most of last season, inter was in 4th position behind sampdoria. twe seasons ago, roma finished second. roma, BTW won the scudetto not too long ago.

you say inter spent a lot of money acquiring wingers (just 2). well they could afford it for the ff reason:

van der myde (one of my favorite wingers) left for monaco over a month ago.
stephen dalmat too left.
emre also left.
it's no news, that big-money vieri left.

Christianity EtcRe: Who Really Rules The World, Jehovah God or Satan?? by c0dec(m): 6:51pm On Aug 14, 2005
Satan rulez baby. the dark side of the force is strong with the people of the world. there's so much violence and sex on the planet (even on nairaland).

i think about it every now and then. if a large meteor were to hit the earth this minute. 80% of us will unite the satan.

You're either with satan or with God. you can't be in between. Gods hates lukewarm-ness.

right now, as i'm composing this post, i'm with satan. i've to go confessing my sins now and join the light side of the force.  cool

seun stop worrying about how large the files are. it's optional anyway.

u can't enjoy a goal by looking at the screenshots. download them.

just in case. if there's anyyone here (except Chxta obviously) interested in having all of juve's serie a goals form 97/98 to 04/05 + 0405 CL goals, holler at me - lets do business grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Serie A is coming: A review of the Big 3 by c0dec(m): 9:49pm On Aug 12, 2005
forza juve. somehow, deep down i believe cassano might just be juve's surprise signing this season. apart from zalayeta, it'll be a pity for Mutu or DP to leave (one of them would have to leave) just like what happened to miccoli last season (that was really disappointing for me).

this scudetto is between juve and inter. inter has a lot of promise this season; just like previous seasons but this time, it justs feels different.

anyway i can only see a juve double.

i wonder what the surprise teams will be this season. last season, it was new boys palermo and messina. lecce were full of promise last season with a performance that would have won them the EPL.

this season, i think the viola will get back to their old days. roma now don't have any excuses. parma? can't tell. lazio? i expect the same sh*t from last season.
SportsRe: 2005/2006 UEFA Champions League by c0dec(op): 5:43pm On Aug 11, 2005
i don't expect udinese to match last season's performance. i'd rather see sampdoria in the CL (flacchi is a player i admire).

i wasn't expecting anything less from martins. a job well done. inter probably have the most feared strike duo in italy, even europe. come to think of it, the italian sides have the best strike force in europe smiley

juve = ibrahimovic, trezeguet
milan = schechenko, gilardino
fiorentina = bojinov, toni
roma = cassano, montella

man! this season no go easy for cannavaro and thuram.

obodo is just a waste of money for udinese.but come to think of it.is obodo good..?

to me he is as wacked as any fake player.he is a "want to be" to him...i even play better than him...
he's not as bad as you think though he has his bad days. yes, he has never impressed for the national team. i just hope udinese qualify then you'll see for yourself. but too bad for udinese, they'll be without their player of last season, di michelle.
SportsRe: 2005/2006 UEFA Champions League by c0dec(op): 6:10pm On Aug 10, 2005
yeah david moyes was up to something -> nothing!

villareal comfortably beat everton at merseyside 2 - 1.

my man, tacchinardi made his debut (i think) for villareal and almost made it 3 - 1. you arsenal fans complain of losing vieira after 9 years well tacchi has been at juve for 11 yrs and i definitely miss him. i would have preferred any other CM to leave but i guess capello had other ideas. the plus is that he would be playing more football this season.

it's a good thing it's a loan deal though. i hope he gets to elbow ronaldo again. grin

other results:

Valerenga 1 v Club Bruges 0
Manchester United 3 v Debrecen 0
Real Betis 1 v Monaco 0
Wisla Krakow 3 v Panathanaikos 1
Anorthosis Famagusta 0 v Rangers 2
SportsRe: Chelsea vs Arsenal by c0dec(m): 3:39pm On Aug 08, 2005
saw the game.

arsene wenger still has to learn the art of  defending. senderos is not good enough for a big team like arsenal. well, i felt some arsenal players didn't take the game that seriously (some chelsea players too).

chelsea played ok. they knew what they were doing most of the time. they are a very good side with depth. thats all i can say.

now, they're totally out of europe. not that i care anyway.
