Hello house. Can someo knowledgeable explain this?

I've been doing target savings with gtb and this is the 3rd month with zero interest. I've also read here people say target savings is more better than t bills for now cos of their interest.

Does it appear gtb don't issue interests on t. Savings or what?

Then it was a pyrrhic victory for him.

Meanwhile, Man city dominated all through but @ the end Man utd was victorious.

I'm a staunch Liverpool fan, you all know what that means.

I hate man utd!

Even though, I ought to support them today to win to reduce the number of matches Liverpool would have to win to become champion. But hell NO, I wanted them beaten.

Anyways, congratulations to all Liverpool fans around the world!

The EPL trophy is heading back to its usual base.

I LOVE LIVERPOOL FC

Pyrrhic victory indeed.

Wasn't that exactly what happened against Liverpool when utd we're chasing a goal to reduce the deficit before Allison launched the ball to salah just milliseconds away from full time?

Face the topic. The thread says female and what is the reason given that it is not ideal for a young non married lady to live alone? The popular view is she will be kind wayward since she can entertain any man wants so stop beating around the bush when you know the obvious

Yes boss.... That's the very common view.

Let me reiterate what I said from the beginning which is my opinion.... You don't leave your parents because your friends are doing so or it's the normal thing everywhere. I believe everyone has got a spirit-man that speaks truth to you. Hence, you leave because it's the right time to leave and when that time comes, no one will tell you but your inner self.

Never did I mention sexual related point which you obviously thought you're psychic and started reading my mind miles away.

I hope we are good now.

Yeah it's poor reasoning. If not we look at sex as a bad thing in respect to the female folks what stop a lady from staying on her own when a guy can. If I ask you to give a reason why you think it's bad, it must be sexually related. Why don't you say same for a working class lady who says outside her place of origin

Must everything be sexually related? C'mon man... When has letting your conscience make the best choice for you be sexually related? Or did you leave your parents house or want to leave because you're sexually starved?

Nyamen.... My brother keeps his virginity. If it's very difficult for a man to break a woman's hymen, I wonder which woman will break his own heman.

it's good he brought up the issue I have seen put talked about it before. Now back to the issue. I will say there is nothing wrong in that, opposite view to this is base on our reasoning as Africans or should I say Nigerians which is very poor reasoning

Poor reasoning? Our problem is emulation and we always get it wrong. Live your life as your conscience directs you to and not because it's a norm in standard counyries

first you divide interest received by principal then you multiply by 100 then you multiply by 12. You should get annual interest. Note tax has not been considered though it will reduce the amount received as interest but then it is irrelevant as it cannot be avoided.

Can you please help me understand how you are able to keep them from absconding with your keke?

I have a colleague who rides one and introduced another colleague to the business months ago.

All he did was take the keke to his park with his friend and introduced him to the union chairman who'll be responsible for bringing the rider. This part no concern him at all. All he did was sign agreement with the rider the union chairman brought, exchanged numbers with the union chairman incase the rider defaults payments.

Here, it becomes the duty of the union chairman to HALA for the rider who'll eventually pay the penalty for a day's delay. He's actually fighting for his own pocket cos 1 day past the due date, the penalty goes to his pockets. Now imagine he defaults for like 3 to 5days.

His friend was so safe that he planned on doubling up when the 1st cycle completes next year before your government threw his spanner in the works.

I think this becomes one of the better methods yo keep your mind at rest when it comes to transport business just that it's not my turf so whether success or failure, i xahnged my mind long ago never to indulge

I can tell you boastfully that I live around abiok where power is like 15-18hrs daily. My gen hasn't been put on like a very long time except now that there's no light. Pretty sure it'll be back soon.

Running analysis on my head now: if airpeace boss didn't have the billions and name to back it up, he wouldn't be in the mess he is right now. I keep letting people know that excess money is not the solution to our problems. Just enough to keep you rolling and enough to prevent you from sliding back to where you came from. The more money you chase, the more trouble you are exposed to. My prayer has always been "God dont make me the richest man alive and dont make me the poorest man alive but just grant me comfortability, Amen". This brings it down to mentality and not counting bills. For those that envy and wish to be in people position, just note the following:
1. For married woman, the bigger the money, the farther away from home your husband will be.
2. The bigger the house, the bigger the cost of maintenance.
3. The more exotic the car, the more the cost of maintenance and parts.
4. The more money, the more you spend on security and looses true friends.
5. The more sophisticated a person is, the greater chance of marrying the wrong spouse.
6. ETC- you can add more
In all, it cancels out and reverts to vanity upon vanity.

The best advice or suggestion since page 1 in all honesty.
Sadly but you said the honest truth. It's very difficult for a rich Nigerian to live humble. He really wants to be on the billboard if he can't afford to make it to Forbes.

The bolded.... Proverbs 30: 7-9 and we all discover in our lives, the same Proverbs 16:9 says "we make our plans but God directs our actions."

Sir barrytone, thank you for speaking weight in sense to lots of us

When filling the Stanbic MMF form, there was a part that said:

“How much do you want to invest”

I imputed 1M.

My question is, hope I can invest higher than this with this same account later in future if I get more money or is the account now limited to the investment amount of 1M I stated on the form ?

Thanks

The account isn't limited just the amount to invest is limited.

It's like having a regular bank account and you're making a monthly savings and top ups.

Never tied to a specific amount of money

Good luck with your endeavors and God bless us all

i believe if u dont collect interest upfront, it would be reinvested and the interest on that as well would be reinvested, the circle goes on until the last 1,000 or so. perhaps that person only recorded the first interest and not other tiers of interest. hence s/he believed the interest was more than expected.

n.b i am just saying, never reinvested my interest before.
i dey use my upfront solve immediate need.
government must fund my basic necessity in this country.

i advise people to buy tbills in good rate at high principal, that way u can always use the interest to buy new inverter batteries every year to have constant power supply. pay your house rent until u build your own sponsor your kids to good schools et al with hassles. maintain ur vehicle at top shape once every year.

For some funny reasons, I've done a couple of tbills with SIbtc but not for once have they reinvested my interest even when I've never really like collecting upfronts and after even indicating it in the letter.

Does anyone who invest in Stanbic and doesn't want upfronts experience the same issues?

For those who never experienced this, is it an ok option to change branch?

kryptem:

I have done the Re-investment of the interest before and it was on Secondary Market. I just explained to the officer that I didn't want the interest paid upfront but it should be reinvested. That was all and she perfected it. This was at First Bank.
There was nothing special requirement for it only that you indicate it in the form you will fill. In both Primary and Secondary Markets, it is applicable (interest Re-investment is possible).

Then I guess stanbic fails here. They always pay me my upfront even when I don't need it and even after indicating in the letter that I want it paid at the end of tenor, they still end up paying it.

I wish she'll have knowledge about interest reinvestment. Or maybe I should meet my account officer.
