= Your section headings background color, I wont recommend using red for the login title
= Rearrange things so that the titles are up not areas cgni supports africans that title should be on top of the scholarship so that it matches the ones on the right.
= Think carefully about your usage of red (color-blind people)

I believe this site is for your client. If the site is for you, ignore my following opinion.

My assumption is that
1. this site is for your client
2. you are going to get paid for the work you do

So what do I find irritating when I see it, the statement that reads "Designed By,  or Site Designed By,  or Developed By, ) at the site's footer. Like you have on the lower right side.

I believe, if you are getting paid for your work, you dont have to put that statement there. Even if you ask the client, can I put a designed by,  and the client says ok you can put it no problem. I strongly feel it should not be placed there. Ok for exposure I just feel it is not professional.

The network administration does not have any authority to disconnect you based on personal reasons. If you were doing something on the network that was against the company's policy, then you should get a warning a couple of times and then necessary action can then be taken after it has been reported to the management.

But he blocking from accessing the network is absolutely unethical just because he is in control doesnt mean he should abuse it.

He probably blocked your MAC address. Complain to your supervisor and let him/her know that what the network admin is doing is unethical.

I hope you are not trying to tell me that VB.NET has remained the same only the IDE changes. It has changed a lot and you have to keep learning to keep up. as new frameworks will be released, it will keep changing. I am not talking about the addition of new functionality.

Did a project in vb.net 2003 no problems with that. Then a couple of years later tried doing something similar in 2005. Never wasnt going to be like before. all your data adapter, connstring etc. changed you have to learn new keywords or whatever they are called.

This is a special assignment tough one really. I dont fully understand, read and respond. This is not only for cactus, The more brains involved the easier things should get ideally. But sometimes that is not the case.

A. The system you are talking about, is this where you host your site? (are you self hosting it?)
B. Are you talking about your server shutting down or your personal computer shutting down?
C. If this is your personal computer, did you also give remote access?

But

1. Is this a laptop or desktop?
2. Which operating system is this problematic machine using?
3. Have you installed any hardware or software that would require a driver installation or any software recently?
4. If this is your personal computer, are you using it as a server?
5. If this is a server, check your crontab in cpanel.
6. Go through all the scripts you have and look at the last date modified
7. Also as a caution, check your .htaccess file (copy it from the server
8. Check your log files.
    - If you feel the access you gave might have affected your system, check the server log
    - if this is a personal computer, check your system error log

Click on Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > System Log to view.

9. Look at the log carefully, checking the timestamp and the times the system crashed. You can paste any error codes or messages on here. This will help a great deal. and you can also search on google for the error codes
10. How long have you being using this system (desktop/laptop)
11. Do you hear strange noises? (potential hard drive failure)


This may take some time but lets try.

Follow the above direction and post the keys or you can search for them online and download onto a usb drive from a cyber cafe and take back home to install.

Or look for someone that has similar computer and ask for their driver cd or installation cd

Joomla is powerful true with all the extensions available. Then the risk factor comes into play. making sure things are compatible and no coding flaws in extensions. I guess many people writing extensions try to do their best to avoid flaws in the code that may lead to huge security vulnerability.

If i had a project that deals with building all the normal things like blog, gallery, shopping etc. I would most likely go the standalone approach. e.g.

Blog = wordpress
Gallery = zenphoto
cms = anything lightweight and clean

Then in this way, I can find solutions to modify the user tables to use single sign-on.

This is more work for customization and maintenance. Did this once before for personal use but since I am semi-retired from web dev. Any approach to building a solution would be carefully looked into depending on client needs. Ideally, I dont think I would do this for a client but it all varies on the type of client I have to work with.

You have not provided enough information for people to help you.

1. Were you trying to play a cd/dvd or play a movie file, mp3 from your computer?
2. If you were trying to play a movie located on your computer, what format is the movie or audio file?

I will assume you are referring to the cd/dvd drive on your computer not working well. In this case, maybe you forgot to install the driver for the hardware. Search online for driver's or go to the device manager.

on your desktop or windows explorer, right click on MY COMPUTER and click on PROPERTIES.
i cant remember the name of the tab but it may say something like HARDWARE or you can go through all the tabs until you find somewhere that says DEVICE MANAGER. click on that and look for your cd/dvd driver. Right click on it and select the properties. If it is not working well, it will tell you the device is not working or somethign like that then you need to install the driver. search online for the make and model of the drive.


However if this is just a software related problem that is preventing you from playing movie or audio files. go to google and search for VIDEOLAN. use this instead of windows playe.

Hope this gets you somewhere. I am assuming different things as you have not provided enough information to help. Just a thought I am going through

Option 1
1.make sure the file you are attaching is not opened/in use by another application. It may sound silly but hey, nothing wrong in trying. Or make copies into a different folder in a different location than where they are currently located
2. Try to attach the documents using gmail in IE. Dont use wireless, use the LAN.
3. If that works, then try FF and Chrome.

Option 2
1. if the picture you are trying to upload can be viewed publicly or find a picture that can be viewed publicly. Go to www.imgur.com and try to upload the picture there. If it works, then this is not a connection problem.

Option 3
Alternatively, find a usb memory stick and copy the files into the stick then go and use it on a different computer. or computers
This must definitely work if clearing the cache according to yawa doesnt work. if it works, then it is a computer problem. not connection, gmail or yahoo

Also check the file(s) permissions. Read, write etc. who knows

Option 4
1. Make sure you are using the newest version of Firefox and Chrome. If you are already using the newest firefox, try downgrading to version 2.5. If you feel like and try attaching.


Do option 1, 2, and 3. You really dont need option 4. Drop a feedback on the results of option 1 and 2 and 3.
