MsDarkSkin:

im not sure how rap is african either to be completely honest.  undecided
i know the 'call and response' pattern we western blacks use even to this day has roots in africa but
im not sure about rap. apparently there is a west african tribe that we got it from but im not sure
about that.  undecided

Even if there were tribes that thought of rap then how did Black Americans get into rap if Black Americans do not travel internationally according to some chatters on here?

I didn't see any medias about rap originated from Africa.  I must have been riding something when the memo came around.
Culture / Re: Are Africans Proud Of Black Americans? by CalienteMi: 10:49pm On Sep 24, 2011
So what if Africans aren't proud of Black Americans. Boo Hoo. Africans' opinions of Black Americans hold no weight nor value.

Africans should focus on preventing global theft on their resources and building their countries to where it should be.

Africans being proud or not of Black Americans is not going to solve global issues.

Rap music was not found in Africa.  Rap music is an evolution of spoken words with music.  Rappers were expressing their frustrations, anger, hopes, and desires before the demand of sex occur.  Rappers found gold when people responded to rappers belittling women, showcasing women sexuality, using profanities in extreme manners, and bragging about making it big through the rap game.

Whites, Hispanics, and Asians people followed suit when they saw how lucrative the rap game was.  If you go to any modern day rap concerts you will see white people in droves more than black people.  Its obvious rap music attracting other nationalities.  Eminem was created by Dr. Dre because he wanted to attract a larger white audience and struck gold when he first introduced Eminem to the limelight.

Eminem was given a chance in the rap game because of Dr. Dre, a black man.  Let us not get into African rappers.   lipsrsealed

I don't get boys. How is in the hell buying a man's gifts or offer to pay his bills is emasculation?

Don't get me wrong I think a wife should help out her husband anyway she can and vice versa but a girlfriend offering to pay your bill is a sign of emasculating you? undecided undecided undecided

One minute complaining about women are gold diggers and begs too much.
One minute complaining about women are lazy and useless.
One minute complaining about women are letting themselves go.

I now see why the Sisters going cross the cultural line to those men that appreciates them.

I am glad you mentioned her because I heard some of her music at a party. I was at a reggae party and I heard Wedding Chapel, Hey Boy, and Get Flat. I been trying to get her record because its a good party music.

Islands music have so much flavor and I can relate to it than other cultural musics.

Family / Re: Would You Give Back The Child by CalienteMi: 4:18pm On Sep 24, 2011
Are there any legal contracts between the donor and the family?  If so then the donor can't claim rights to the children however if there is no contract then the court will decide what is best for the children.  The court will take in consideration how long the donor waited, donor donated generously, and the connection the children has with the family.

A sane judge would not grant the donor rights to his children if they are thinking what is best for the children however the donor can seek visitation rights if the family are in agreement.

God2man:

A great lesson for "i love him","i am so in love" " he is so nice" i admire him" "she is so beautiful" "i am into him" "we are meant for each other". Look before you leap. Has God told you? A great unanswered question causing trouble all over the place. Watch and pray. God bless you.God2man.

A good one and I agree. However not everyone is religious/spiritual and seek God for his directions nor pray that his will be done. What solutions do you have for those who doesn't believe in God?

I have seen women speak in volume about how much they love the men and what he can do for them but not one time ask/mention/pray to see if God was in it. Guess what all of them are now praying to God to deliver them from the men they said they were so in love with.
Family / Re: A Lazy Husband by CalienteMi: 4:04pm On Sep 24, 2011
You knew he was lazy when you met him and married him thinking he will change.

This is a message for all the ladies who are dating or thinking about dating.  If you are dating a man that has some flaws that are deal breakers to you, do not expect him to change over time or even after marriage.

You can change the spots on the leopard but it is still a leopard.  If a man demonstrates characters that are questionable before marriage those same characters will rollover into your marriage.

Do not lead with vulnerable emotions and desperation when it comes to a long term relationship (if you are seeking it) and do not sell yourself short (I am not talking about money wise).  I know this is a cliche but its true, Patience is indeed a virtue.

Follow your heart and inner mind.  It will tell you DANGER, PROCEED WITH CAUTION, or GOOD ONE.

I suggest women know whom they are dealing with before Being Intimate with them.  2 minutes of erotica doesn't have to end in a lifetime agony.

Romance / Would You Pay Groom Price For Your Boyfriend? by CalienteMi: 4:21am On Sep 23, 2011
Ladies

Would you pay groom price for your boyfriend?  When a man isn't able to pay bride price, do you think a woman should pay groom price if she can afford it?

If the groom isn't doing his job to your pleasure do you think you should return him back to his parents and ask for a refund?

Do you think the relationship would work if the man was bought for a price?
